I've used both Blogger and Wordpress (for my medical transcription blog) and I prefer Blogger but that's all I used. It's pretty user friendly and free.

Thanks so much, ladies. You have been a great help. I hope I can accomplish this. It is a big step for this gal that comes from the "old school".

I do have one more question: is there a way I can have my blog set up for email subscriptions where viewers are notified when I post, and it be FREE? Some I have gone to want to charge. Any info. will be appreciate.

I use feedblitz, and it's free. Someone had posted a while back that there is a service that they charge for. As far as I know, you can still get the free service; they just put ads in the notifications.

I wanted FeedBlitz, too, but there is now a charge:
FeedBlitz ad-funded free services are available to existing free-service publishers who created newsletters at FeedBlitz prior to January 1, 2009.
Any other suggestions? This is exactly what I am hunting for, but for FREE.(go figure!) I am so disappointed that I can't find a free service.

arles (that's her SCS name) made my blog title for me. She has a site with free blogger templates. I had trouble getting it loaded, so she not only loaded it for me, she made me a blog title and e-mail button! She rocks! Before that, mine was a photo that I resized. You can also try googling free blog headers.

Maybe feedburner? I believe people can also follow you on blogger. Maybe you could add that to your sidebar?
