Question ***HELP!! converting flv files

I am unsure if this is the correct place to ask this, so my apologies to the moderator (and viewers).

I have saved a couple of the Video Tutorials on my computer. I received a dvd player for Christmas with the sole purpose of it being to watch/pause/create from the videos in my scrap/stamp room. I don't have access to a computer in there and it's the only way that I can make a mess and work on more the following day (closing the door behind me).

Does anyone know what program to use to convert flv files to something that will work on my dvd player? I have tried half a dozen over the past few days and am VERY frustrated.

Please email me if you can help! I'd be stampever grateful

what does your movie player read? It'll say MPEG or something like that. Maybe a sticker or on the manual.
