make a post stay at the top of my blog?

Edit the post (after it has been posted) click 'post options' in the botom lleft hand corner. Then change the post date and time, to the date you want it to stop being at the top.

Lauren, it will not appear on the blog before that date if you do so.

I made a small change in the HTML of my blog:
I changed 'no' into 'yes' in the part you see below (it's typed in red here).

<b:section class='main' id='main' showaddelement='yes'>
<b:widget id='Blog1' locked='true' title='Blog Posts' type='Blog'/>
</b:section>

In layouts it shows "add a gadget" now above my posts. I can use it to write a sticky post.

Thats why I said do it after you have posted it (edit it) otherwise yes, it will turn to a scheduled post. ;)

Your way is good if you want a permanent post at the top, if you do it my way, as soon as a new post is posted after the date you supplied it will drop to a normal post, this works well for blog candy and things. And it works cause I have done it before. :p
