Default How many pageviews, followers, etc.

This kinda goes with the thread on getting more followers. To motivate myself to get more pageviews and followers, I like to see how everyone else is doing with their blogs. Then I can set a realistic goal and visit other blogs to see what they're doing differently.

I have 34 followers, 8 followers for Networked Blogs, 12,967 pageviews, and I started my blog 2 years ago. I still have tons to learn!!!

You should also look at your subscribers. I almost never 'follow' and just subscribe instead. It is all a matter of my preference in organizing my blogs in Google Reader. You are only seeing half the story if you leave that portion out!

I just started my blogThe Life Adventures of Mrs. C. in February and had marked it private until this month and currently have had around 550 page views (and I have not sent it to Friends and Family or put it on facebook). Do you think this is a good starting amount? Any ideas of ways to generate more?

Thanks for starting this thread Pam!

I think 550 is very good since you've kept it private and haven't really promoted it. I have a small business, so I put the link in my newsletter, and that really helps. I did a blog hop and got alot of traffic then too. I also belong to a Blog Group here on SCS, but it hasn't been very active lately. One of the keys is to post regularly. People want to see something new when they visit.

I'm headed to check it out now, Katie!

I'm using wordpress for my blog and so far I don't have a way of tracking subscribers. It's kind of frustrating to not know. I started my blog at the end of February and in 3 months have received 20,000+ page visits. Out of my total page hits, I can safely assume that upwards to 500 are self generated and a certain amount are a result of spam bot page hits. I'd like to know what the intentional page visit numbers are to better guage interest. Google analytics give me a bit of information about who's visiting, repeat visitors, bounce rates, etc. I kind of feel like I'm wasting my time though because I offer up tutorials of things I do if people would only ask for them, but no one hardly ever comments, but with every post I see a jump of anywhere between 300 - 500 page visits. What are people looking for?
