Default How do you get a "design" in your sidebar?

People are going to be sorry that I ever found this forum...it seems I always have blog questions  !

Anyhoo, is there an easy way to do this? My guess is probably "no" because I am sure it somehow involves an HTML code or something. Any input would be appreciated.

The easy way is to pay someone to design one for you. ;) I haven't changed mine, so I don't know for sure but I'm guessing you could google for free blog templates and find some. Hopefully, others will reply with more info.

What exactly do you mean by a "designed". Are you looking for a pattern behind your sidebar or a designed category bar...?

If you are looking for a background, then it's actually quite simple. After reading another post here on the blog forum, I went to The Cutest Blog on the Block and picked one of their free backgrounds. I copied the html code and, in the layout section (of Blogger) added an html gadget and copied the code there. The first one didn't work for me, so I deleted it and tried again. It was more time consuming to look through everything they had available and choose one than it was to install it.

After having that up, I had my sister, a graphic designer, make me a new banner to coordinate with the colors.

Good luck!

Okay, I got it figured out...not really sure if there is a way to JUST get it down the sides and leave my middle as is, but I will play around with it a little. Thanks for the help!
