I have started my blog and wanted to know how to find out how many hits/visitors come to see my posts. I am still trying to figure it all out and any help anyone can pass on to me would be great. You can visit my blog at www.gailscraftcorner.blogspot.com Please come and let me know what you think. I'd love to get some feed back on it TIA
I'm using Google Analytics, which offers much more detailed statistics than a hit counter. But that might be overkill for your purposes.
Thanks. I went there and I am trying to get it on my blog. I can't figure out how to get it on my side bar. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love the help.
Gail, are you asking about adding Google Analytics? I'm not on Blogger, but here is a page from Google's Help section that explains how to add the Analytics code. Maybe that will work...? http://www.google.com/support/analyt...04&topic=11126
When you use that method, Analytics will track all your blog posts, not just your home page.
I use statcounter so I can only tell you what I did, but I'm sure they are all pretty much the same.
Go to their website, and do whatever registering is necessary.
Choose they style of counter you want. There will be an html code associated with this. Copy the whole code then go to your blog. Decide whether you want your counter in your side bar or at the bottom of your page.
On the "layout" screen choose to "add a gadget" for your chosen location (side or bottom) and choose the "html/java script" from the list by clicking on the + sign. You can add a title if you want (I chose not too). Then paste your html code from the stat counter site into the large box. Then click "save". This will put your counter on for you.
If you chose to have it on your side bar, it will automatically go to the top of whatever other gadgets you have. If you want it in a different place on the sidebar, click on the box the counter is on and drag it to the position you want.

You can add a very cool blog backdrop from Leelou blogs. I have her icon on mine that you can click on-very easy to install she talks you through it. Feel free to check mine out-I think it makes a huge different. Jen
