I downloaded several digi kits (from shabby princess amongst others). Then I used a free image manipulation program (called GIMP, sort of like PhotoShop) to make mine!

I handstamped mine too. I replace it sometimes with temporary headers for special occasions, holidays, valentine, easter...

I do mine with free digital scrap kits too. The size depends on the template you are using. Majority are about 10.25" x 2.5

I checked my blog width first, and then made my header. My particular one needed to be 900px.

I had Michelle Laycock (www.laycockdesgns.com) make mine. I LOVE it. I launched my blog yesterday. I don't have a lot on it yet, but feel free to check it out.

I did mine in Corel. Its just a simple design, playing with brushes and color. I made the new doc the dimensions that Blogger suggested. I was too afraid to use anything online, even free things, b/c of copyright issues and all. Also some stamp companies even have rights saying not to use the images scanned in either. So its nothing special. I need to work on getting some traffic to my blog though!

You could take an original photo too..good luck!

I've played around with mine for awhile using Photoshop. Here are the websites that helped a lot:

http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tuto...templates.html
http://www.digiscrapdepot.com/freebies/
http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/

Good luck!!
