domain forwarding

Ok, total newbie, here. I'm sure this has already been answered somewhere, but I can't find it.

I want to have people be able to drop the "blogspot" in my address and still reach my blog. I know I have to purchase the domain, but how do I forward the new address to my blog?

I've got a whole new addy!! Bought www.beeninking.com and dropped the "blogspot". i even have an email with my domain.
