That girl knows her music!! Me, clueless ........ just give me a radio and a Starbucks and I'll sing you a GREAT song - ha! It's a 5.5 hour drive so we're heading out and hopefully will have a great weekend ahead. I have lots of downtime and the hotel has lots of wifi, I'm taking the computer so hopefully I can keep up some My dh is an official chaperone, I'm not - I can come and go at my leisure but will be there for all choirs and the concert performances (imagine all nearly 1000 on that HUGE stage - GWOW!!!)

I'll see you all when we get back - Sunday when we all wake up! ♥

Be good, stay warm, safe and happy crafting!

xoxo
Good luck to your DD at Choral All State! that will be a lot of singing. Have a safe journey there and back. So, both you and DH are going along? What did you do with the other kids at home?

Wow Kelly you live at 100 mes per hour - enjoy your trip and the down time.
Barb SCS is addictive... Well done on packing down the trees! You did well to resist SCS that much .
Maggie hope the throat is on the mend and the boss under control.
Great to see you here Jeanette and glad you are still able to function after all your busy-ness.
Hugs to Kel, Lynn, Darlene, Shelly and Kristie. Hope I have not missed anyone.
Off to eye- clinic today, and its due to be a busy road as there is an international cricket game in Hamilton...and it is also forecast to be a scorching hot day, again.

Maxine, hope things improve for you in your little corner of the world! Wish we were having a scorching day here - almost! It's misty/rainy/ucky - and 43 degrees. Typical Texas weather.

Kelly, have FUN on your trip and big congrats to your daughter.

Update from the Hayes household.......Rambo back to the vet this morning (another big Ka-ching) and they may have to send him to a specialist. Jim re-injured his wrist yesterday basically being a typical male!!!!! Everything else is rocking along.

Hot, hot, hot travelling and a busy road but thankfully uneventful trip. Stopped for a coffee on the way home, but otherwise no stops.

DH had injections in both eyes again this time, but they are looking stable, so they are spreading the next appointment time to 8 weeks not 6, to see if they stay stable. Whew.

Got two cards made yesterday The DT one will be blogged this evening.

Lynn I love your comment as to how Jim re-injured his wrist. Poor Rambo though Hope you find what's happening soon, and it can be remedied without too many $$ and hassles for the wee fellow.

Good Morning--Yes, the house is back to normal (depending on your definition of normal ) All of the boxes and bags of decorations are stacked in the garage, waiting to be put up in the rafters. I also took two parts of the 9 foot tree to the garden store to get two strings of lights fixed. They have a guy that comes in to find the problems and it only costs around $15--money very well spent in my opinion!

I have a few errands to run this morning including taking roomie's great niece to the airport as she heads back to Texas this morning. She had a great time in Wisconsin and is also a big Packer fan, so it was fun for her to be her last weekend for the game and she is taking a some Packer gear back with her!

This afternoon I get to play with stamps, inky and paper--YAY!!!

Thanks Maxine. The boss has been pretty good. He goes out every day to run so he's usually gone for about 3 hours. It's been kind of quiet so I'm able to take it slow in getting my work done.

The throat is still very painful, so I made an appointment this afternoon with an ENT. Hopefully they will be able to determine what the problem is and how to fix it.

Poor Rambo. Hope he recovers without the specialist. What kind of specialist do they want him to see?

Oooops! Men, will they never learn?

Glad to hear that DH's eyes are at least stable now and can put off another visit for awhile.

Good for you on the cards. I worked on one last night, but it wasn't even for a DT. Just practicing my coloring.

Barb, I agree about spending the money to have the lights on the tree fixed. If you're going to keep the tree (which was very costly to start), it only makes sense to take care of it and trying to figure out which bulb is out can be very tedious.

Glad that your roomie's great niece had a fun time staying with you.

Update on Jordan is that he is showing "some positive signs". Thank you for your prayers, the family are appreciating them. Please also pray for the family who are travelling between the home town and the major hospital that Jordan was transferred to - they are tired, and the road is a busy one.

Default Hi

Waving hello to all!

I had a couple of days off...got all of the Christmas down and put away, just one tree : )

Got the entire house clean yesterday and today ran errands and had Bible Study. It was a great conversation : )

Maxine- keeping Jordan in prayers glad to hear there was a little improvement in hos condition. Hoping the family has the strength to endure the traveling and long hours at the hospital.

Lynn- so sorry to hear about Rambo and Jim too- so are you back to waiting on him & dressing him, etc?

Maggie- hope the ENT can figure out the issue. I have an antibiotic- helping some but still all swollen in the sinus....... Every year I hear it is the worst year ever...... Your boss leaves for 3 hours a day to go for a run? Wow......

Barb- I think that is so cool you found a place to check out lights...and that is cheap- cool!

Kelly- safe travels : )

Waving hi to Darlene, Kristi and Kel- and hope that is everyone.

Kel- can you PM me with your address and birthday> I need to update the group list and send it out .

Have a great weekend- off to bed-working the next couple of days.

Shelly

So glad to hear that Jordan is doing better. It must be very tiring having to travel back and forth every day. Hopefully, he'll be fully recovered soon.

Nice to have a few days off to get your house in order. I really need to get that done over the weekend. My house is a wreck. I haven't had the energy to get things picked up and put away and my kitchen floor desperately needs to be scrubbed.

The ENT did give me a different antibiotic from what I had been on before and hopefully this one will knock this out of me. He just thought that the other antibiotic wasn't strong enough to knock this out completely. My throat is still somewhat sore, but not with the extreme pain that I have been having, so that's good although my right sinus is hurting me right now. I'm still rinsing my sinuses out at night. He also swabbed it again to check on the strep, but since I haven't heard from them, I'm assuming that it is still negative.

I worked on a card last night and got the image colored, but really couldn't concentrate enough to get it all put together. I hope to get that one done tonight and then I need to get another one finished over the weekend to catch me up for next week.

Default Hi

Hello to all. There is a heat wave coming to the area tomorrow- up to high 30's or low 40's- WOW! Maybe we'll cook out on the grill tomorrow : )

Did not sleep well last night- so will be heading to bed early tonight- working tomorrow again and no telling what tomorrow will bring-after work. I have been having lots of weird dreams....

Katie will be home on Feb 12th for 3 weeks : ) Looking forward to it. I have the week off work- and was planning on going to Florida- Tampa area, but will go from the end of the prior week and come back on the 11th..... So looking forward to seeing her. It will go by quickly. We'll have to head to Ky, and she wants to go to Columbus- Ohio State- which is just 2 hours away, so will drive down with her, and maybe head home on the Megabus- has anyone ever ridden the Megabus before? I have done it a few times- the bus has Wifi!

Hoping everyone has a great weekend! Safe travels to all who are on the road : )
Shelly

Enjoy the grill Shelly !! Whoopee on Katie being home - those three weeks will go so fast, so make the most of every minute!

We have had both families around today - seems our life is not our own these days . We babysat the two this morning while their parents went for a run, then the single and parents came over this afternoon for an hour or so.

I did manage to get a wee bit of gardening done - things are really dry here and I have had the hose dribbling on the vegetables for most of the afternoon, just moving it around to try and really soak the ground and give them a good drink!

Waving to you all

Hello everyone!

Gearing up for the football games tomorrow!!

Maggie, sorry to learn that you've been so sick with sinus/sore throat issues. Sure hoping that the new antibiotics do the trick! (really - 3 hrs for a run?? wow)

Shelly, Those weeks in Feb. can't come soon enough, can they? Here's hoping that they pass slowly and you enjoy every second of the time together!

Maxine, glad to hear about DH's eye treatments, and big prayers for Jordan & family. Too bad about the heat and your dry garden. I know how much effort you put into the garden every year.

Lynn: poor little Rambo, hope that the ka-ching is small. (spent a fortune on Bijou August-September this year) But mostly hoping that Rambo is back to his usual self soon. ...And Jim...well, that's awful that he's done that...but your description of it made me smile!

Waving to Jeanette and Kelly, as they dash about on their trips!

Kristi, how are things in your corner of the world? Wishing you a great weekend.

I have some more rearranging of the house to do (set a goal of 4 boxes a week - sorting, reorganizing, etc.) of course I've fallen behind on the goal, but that's ok. As long as some gets done every week, you know?

Plus it's time to clean some bird cages. They always get so excited when I fuss with their territory LOL. Like little kids when you sort through and straighten up their toys. Suddenly everything you touch is their favorite item!

Have to go and post a card to my blog. It was due on the 15th. I made the post and thought I saved it & scheduled it to go up...poof! Now it's nowhere to be found. Guess I did something wrong. Very strange...

Just a quick update on Jordan - he is out of critical/intensive care and on a neurological ward. A restless night last night, but sleeping peacefully today and drinking water. Still a long way to go though! Thanks for all your prayers - the family appreciate the support.

Hugs and hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to chat

Maxine, that's great news about Jordan. I know he has a long way to go but this is a good start anyway!

Shelly, that's going to be fun with Katie being home for a while. Know you're looking forward to it.

Darlene, take baby steps on getting everything organized. Remember, it'll still be there tomorrow! LOL! Sounds like you're making headway though and that's good.

Barb, I'm sure you'll be tuned into the game today. It's just a shame they had to beat Dallas you know. LOL!

Maggie, hope you're starting to feel better.

Waving hi to everyone else. Oh, Kel, I signed up to get updates on your posts through bloglovin' yet nothing ever comes though! Any ideas on that?? I could sign up through Google Plus - but have no idea how to access that one.

Maxine, I am SOOOOO happy to hear that Jordan is doing better. He may have a long way to go, but he has come so far already!

Maggie - I hope you are starting to feel better!!

Shelly, how exciting that Katie will be here for 3 weeks! I hope you are able to enjoy your time together.

Jeanette & Kelly - hopefully your trips are going well!

Darlene - Setting a goal like # boxes of a week is a good one. Even if you don't do the 4, at least you are getting some done. We have been here 5.5 years now and I'm still not unpacked...well I'm not even completely moved out of Mom's house yet LOL. The house next door has been up for sale since the fall and it recently dropped $20K and it's in our price range and has all the features we want without the work. We contemplated buying it and selling or renting ours...but the work we need to do to make it sale ready is just not feasible right now. So we will work on it slowly and re-evaluate in a few years.

Lynn - sorry to hear Jim re-injured himself! What kind of specialist does Rambo need to see?

Hello to all I missed!

I've been living in my own world lately. Lots of games on my phone and some reading. I made two cards during the week and NEED to get in my room later to work on a baby card that has to be mailed this week. Things are looking up in other aspects of life so I will hopefully be around more now. I just needed some time to decompress.

Hi Ladies--late check in on Sunday night. We got home earlier this afternoon and watched the Packer game--yes, it was a disappointing game for us.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend too!

We are off work today, yay! Nothing too exciting on the agenda though, need to finish laundry and run errands. Yesterday morning was icy and then it rained most of the day so we stayed in. We took down the Christmas village and got the dining room looking much better. We still have a bit of stuff to get out of there but we can dine at the table again, haven't been able to do that in months lol.

Off to look at a few blogs while Mike makes breakfast

Hello Fellow Stamp Addicts!

I'm home again - for the day. I leave again early tomorrow morning and will be gone the remainder of the week. I've often said if I were choosing a career at this point in my life, I'd choose one that requires travel............ so I've been happy as a lark these weeks of meeting after meeting after meeting.

Maxine, I'm so glad to hear the progress reports on Jordan. I'm sure it is slow progress, but at least he's improving. I'll continue to pray!

Oh Lynn, I'm sorry DH did a "guy" thing and re-injured himself. And poor Rambo.

Shelly, how exciting. I'm sure you're looking forward to three weeks in February!

Maggie, I'm sorry you're still in so much pain. Hopefully this new antibiotic will work quickly!

Kristie, that must have been a tough decision about the house.

Darlene, I'm impressed! I need to purge/sort/organize here............ but no time.

Barb, I'm sorry about your Packers!

Welcome home, Kelly!

Waving to all of the others........................

Shelly
We are supposed to get up to 70 today, but not sure if it got that warm and it's supposed to stick around for a couple days until nearer the weekend when the rain and cold come back. For joy!

What are you going to Tampa for? A fun trip? I"m sure it will be nice to have Katie home for a little while and you'll get to spend time with her. Is she checking out Ohio State for school? I've never traveled long distance on a bus before. Be interested to hear how it goes.

Good to hear from you Darlene. Good luck on the organizing and rearranging. I'm doing some of that myself. I have a number of boxes sitting in my hallway right now that I need to move to the workshop in the garage, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Thought I might before the kids come over on Saturday, but not sure I'll do it before then. Oh well, there is a pathway open down the hall, so they'll be okay.

Sitting here drinking some tea. Feels good going down, but that little spot on the left side of my throat is still there.

Wow! That's great that he is progressing so well. It may take a little while for his head to clear after being in the condition he was. You all need to be strong for him and help him to recover.

ugh it's been too long!

maxine - sending tons of love and prayers to your family. how scary. but glad to know he's getting better.

the kids went back to school last week, so naturally, i got sick. haha. so much for finding time for things when i couldn't even get out of bed! and now baby's teething, so he's a big ball of fuss (and poop! lol!) just hoping to get back to a routine where we're all happy and healthy.

this is the tail end of my dinner break - i had to ask my mom to help me today because it's hard to do laundry and get dinner on the table with a baby in hand!!! so she has him while i finish eating dinner and believe me, i'm taking my sweet time! haha.

hope everyone has a nice week!!

Sorry I haven't been around more. Update......Sassy still the same. Rambo - still limping bad in the morning when he wakes up. After he gets his pill he starts walking better! I'm pretty sure this is a steroid though and he only has two left. Then I guess it's a specialist. The local vet didn't say what kind of specialist but I'm just assuming it's someone with more knowledge than him in the city. Jim - doing better if I could just get him to behave. Lynn........not so great anymore. I ended up at the Emergency Room night before last. Racing heart! It's been going on for about 2 weeks but wasn't lasting long. This time it was lasting way too long though. EKG was ok as far as they could tell but made me stay until about 1:30 yesterday morning. I see my primary today to get all the info on what's going on, etc. I feel fine - so we'll just have to see what's happening with this old, old body now! LOL!

Sorry you were sick Kel and glad that you are feeling better. Be grateful that baby is just fussy and poopy. I remember when my oldest started cutting teeth, she'd get a high fever. Always scary. Glad that your mom is there to help you out.

Oh, Lynn. How scary for you. Do you drink a lot of caffeine beverages - coffie, sodas, etc., take meds for headaches or to sleep. Some have caffeine in them. I can't take anything with caffeine in it although I do eat chocolate. It also gives me tachycardia (rapid heart beat). I've had issues with that since I was in my 20's. Mostly back then it was due to stress. I hope all is okay with you and you'll get good news from your doctor.

Good morning, finally made my way online. And I still have to get a blog post up

Lynn, glad you are doing better - you stay on top of that! And poor Rambo - did they ever do xrays? Or maybe it's just the ligaments are moving or stretched - that takes forever to heal. Or maybe it's arthritis - did you say he's an older dog? If not, oops! My neighbors dog was limping for awhile and they found out it was Lymes Disease - from a tick! I'd get some blood samples drawn and see what they say, maybe something is just being overlooked. And you get better girl.

On the heals of Lynn's news, I covet your prayers for my daughter Victoria. Before we left, she had a dr's visit due to her shortness of breath, fainting, lightheadedness, etc and they did a full lab. The dr called today and said she needs to see a specialist -STAT. As in her an appt this week. Oh my heart be still -- appararently her labs for thyroid tested 'way, way, WAY low' and "mom, this CANNOT wait." Oh boy. So I scored an emergency appt for tomorrow with an endocrinologist (who has a month and a half wait list!) so hopefully we'll get to the bottom of why she's so sick. I thank you for your prayers on her behalf ♥

Kel, sorry to hear you've been sick, dear. That's not easy when you're mom and 3 little ones under foot!

Made my blog rounds - did I say that already?? Ya'll continue to inspire me each and every time I visit!

Hugs,
