Good Morning Fellow Stamp Addicts!

Congratulations Shelly!!! (and thanks for noticing, Maxine!)

ADORABLE graphic, Kelly!

I actually slept well last night. My DH is out of state.... (no snoring bed partner)... and I had a really bad headache all day long yesterday so I took some Tylenol before bed. Tylenol always makes me sleepy. I can't take it in the daytime unless I have time for a nap. So.......... I slept until after 5:00! YAY!!!

Today is going to be a good/productive day! I just know it is... at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Leaving a trail of friendly (((HUGS)))

Good Morning--Happy Monday to all of you! We had a great weekend-spent time transferring some of the seedlings from the grow lights in the basement to pots to the greenhouse. We hosted a murder party Saturday night and it was a blast. The theme was set in the 20's in Chicago--we had to solve the murder and each of us were in character the entire night. Everyone dressed like their character and I was DA Harrow. Yesterday we went for a couple mile walk in a local park--was a nice day for that too! I hope you had a great weekend too!!!!!!

Checking in and sorry I haven't been around. I haven't been around to comment, blog, or anything. Just super busy around here. Our social calendar (doctors appointments) took up most of all last week and today and when not doing all that, trying to get things done around here. I'm thinking I need more days in the week!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes - and no, Kelly....I don't have my birthday in the FB profile so that's why you don't see it being notified on there. May have to do that next year because I'll hit the big Seven-Zero! YIKES!!!!!! LOL! May need all the well wishes I can get then!

Shelly, congrats on the win and it looks like everyone is doing great and staying busy too!

LOL! Yes, she should be having her driver's license. Can't believe that she doesn't want to drive herself.

Do you take the regular Tylenol or the night time variety. That's weird that regular Tylenol would make you sleepy. Glad that you were able to get a good night's sleep.

Hi Lynn! Sorry that you are still having to deal with doctor appointments and such. I understand how you feel about wanting more days in your week. I do hope that things start to ease up soon.

Today I finally did it. I have a new toy and it's NOT stamping. It's a Galaxy S7! I got the gold one and the protector is clear, so you can still see the phone through the case. My old phone was an LG and I didn't have a data plan on it, so all I had was talk and text.

It is going to take some time to figure out how to use all of it. I did finally figure out where my e-mails are. You have to set up a gmail account first, which I already have, and then add the other account which is my regular e-mail (sbcglobal) account.

Sorry about the large picture. I keep trying to make it smaller, but it just goes back to the regular size.

Good Morning Fellow Stamp Addicts!

Lynn, it's so good to see you! I'd been wondering about you!

Maggie, no, just regular tylenol... and yes, it is weird that it makes me sleepy. (Barb would tell you that's just one of the strange things about me, but don't believe her, okay?) YAY on the new phone........ it's beautiful!

Good Morning--it sure is spring in Wisconsin! We hit 80 degrees yesterday and this morning, we have temps in the 30's. The highs this week are to be only in the low 50's--brrrrrrr! I hope it is sunny this week for all of the trays of seedlings in the greenhouse--however, we do need rain, so I will wish for one day of a slow, long shower!

Have a Terrific Tuesday!!!!!

Default Hi

Waving hello
Nothing new here. Stephi will come home on Thursday night. We are going to dinner at Flattop. She and Ray will run a race Sat AM., then she will head up to Michigan to visit with friends from the running club. Ray and I will head to Kankakee to visit with Mom. My brother lives right on the river- the view is nice. We grew up in a different area of town, but also on the river, it is so peaceful and relaxing to sit and watch the river, and the birds : )

Thanks- Bugaboo is random.org, which is so nice cause regular people like me have a chance to win! I already have so many of their images that I have collected over the years........

Barb- we are having the crazy weather here too- one day it is 80, next day in the 50's. The trees and flowers are blooming away, I love when the flowers start blooming : ) Do you plant seeds that you save from your flowers or buy seed packets?

Jeanette- you must be so sensitive to medicine if regular Tylenol knocks you out : )

Lynn- wahoo for your next B-day- will have to have a big party! I sure hope you get some me time and don't get too worn out. And, hope Jim is doing OK. Does he have weakness or problems from the stroke???

Maggie- fun to have a new phone- they are like mini computers! My office mate has one like that- it takes awesome pictures!

Kelly- glad you had some time to recharge and get lots accomplished! So sorry to hear about your family and the flooding : (

Thanks Maxine- fun : ) I saw your cat on Instagram. Our dog goes crazy when we make Salmon : )

Waving hello to anyone else!
Shelly

We have had a very warm and dry April here - it's almost enough to make me want to get the hose out water the gardens again!!

Lynn I hear you.!! We are in another spell of that too. ... that's why I say that my computer is my social life in a can!! When I can get here!!

To add to that we have family coming back to live with us for two weeks early in May between vacating their rental and getting their newly purchased house habitable!! Thankfully with DD working, DGD at school, DGS at pre-school/kindergarten four days a week and SIL cleaning and sorting the house it shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully those won't be famous last words.

Good to see you chatting here - Maggie I love the phone - looks amazing!

Jeanette my DH goes to sleep on ordinary Panadol (paracetamol)!!

Hugs to you all from down under

Shelly you must have been typing as I was, and beat me to post Enjoy your family weekend, racing and all .

DH tolerates loads of medicines, even tramadol, (a synthetic opiate) but sleeps on paracetamol and itches on codine - both drugs this sensitive body can handle!!

Lynn I think I will have to start saving to come share your big day next year

As for your gardening Barb, it sounds as though you really have green fingers!!

Good Morning Fellow Stamp Addicts!

Shelly, it's good to see you! I suppose I might be sensitive to meds, not sure... since I don't take any.

Maxine, your home has a revolving door. I sure hope sharing your space while the home-renovation is going on isn't too stressful!

We're supposed to have thunderstorms ALL DAY LONG today - it's just now starting in the distance... I guess the gardens need the rain.

I'm leaving VERY early tomorrow for my 3-day trip - our Annual Meeting. So I won't be on SCS for a few days. If I don't come back later today, I'll see you Monday morning!

Hi girls! lOoks like everyone is either doing well or runnning here and there

Maggie, wonderful phone! I always get my kids to figure out my phones (and laptops and ANYTHING electronic, lol) They get it in 5 flat and I'm like 5 weeks later, still looking for the POWER button ........ geeeeesh. I considered that phone!!! They had a great promotion going on, but in March for my birthday, I went with the iphone and upgraded to the rose gold colored 6S. So far, so good ♥ We'll figure it out together - LOL!

Thanks for the well wishes for my brother/his wife. They are good - fully insured. Typical storm damage and they were more concerned about their 2 dogs than anything else, but all are well and won't be displaced for long.

This week is pretty slow - Thank the Lord! Appt yesterday with dd, all checked out well, PTL. Today is math and science club for little man after school, then one dog is going back to the vet for phase 2 of treatment, plus I have a stack of books to get back to the libary (sadly, 7 of the 10 were not even read - no time!), Boy Scouts tomorrow evening, School Fun Fair on Saturday - yay! Usually this is all in ONE DAY - lol!

*Sending hugs and love around!*

Good Morning!!!! It is very windy this morning, temps in the low 40's and Smoochy landed on my deck! No rain yet here, but it is forecast for late this afternoon and tonight. We do need it, but hopefully not as much as some parts of the southwest and Midwest..... I hope you have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Shelly--we start pretty much all of our plants from seeds that we buy. I have saved snips from the German ivy that is in one of our large planters on the deck. I put the snips in water until they root and then plant them in small pots. I keep a try of those pots growing all winter in the office and they are very full and healthy now. I moved them out to the greenhouse over the weekend too. Saves a bit of money as each pot of ivy at the garden center costs $3-4 and I have 18 pots ready to plant!

Default hi

Barb, we started plants from seeds once...we had quite a few, but what alot of work- and we do not have a greenhouse......

Working tomorrow, then meeting Stephi for dinner. Hope the day flies by quickly!

It is windy and raining here today- waited until after my errands and piano lessons thankfully. I was ablt to complete my 2 progressive challenge cards- at the last minute of course, and an ATC that is overdue......

Prob be back over the weekend.

Shelly

Shelly
Hi all! It's been a busy week for me. Lots going on at the office and after hours. Spent most of tonight catching up here and there!

So nice that you'll get to see Stephi again. Good luck to her and Ray in the race. Sounds like a nice relaxing place to visit Shelly. This is the time of the year to enjoy the outside too before the mosquitos and flies come out and chase us all inside!

Congrats on the win. Did you ever pick up your Top 3 banner from One Stitch at a Time a few weeks ago? I won some images from a new company that I had never heard of. Just got them the other day and need to download them to my computer. My package came today from 7 Kids for the things I bought with my GC I got from The Outlawz. I ordered a paper pack called Poet's Kitchen which is really pretty and Maya stamp from Whimsy Stamps.

Can't wait to learn more about how to use it. Last night a GF called and I couldn't figure out how to answer it! LOL! I had to wait til she hung up and call her back.

Hugs to you all from down under
YOu know what they say - April Showers bring May flowers! With all the rain we've had, we should have flowers everywhere next month! I do have a few of my plants starting to put out some flowers. I also had 2 of my flower plants die on me and I have no idea why. I'll see if my lawn guy knows. Speaking of which, I wonder how far he is backed up with all the rain we've been having. He was supposed to come mow today, but it was raining pretty hard this morning, so not sure if he is waiting for it to dry out, but we're supposed to get more rain Friday and Saturday! That's the end of April, so maybe the rain will slack off some too.

It's really pretty cool. I set it up so it's locked and protected. The password is my fingerprint. If that doesn't work, I have a backup PIN.

I hope that you only have the additional family for 2 weeks. Great that they are finally getting their own place.

My doctor was going to give me a scrip for Tramadol for my sore throat a few months ago, but I declined it at the Pharmacy. I didn't know what it was then, but the pharmacist asked me if I ha ever taken it before. I came home and looked it up and found out it was a "controlled substance." I try to stay away from drugs if I can help it. Of course when I broke my arm, I wished I had some of it then. I can't take codeine either - I break out in a terrible rash.

Ooooo. . . big 70 party at Lynn's next year! We should all surprise her and show up on her doorstep!

Leaving a trail of friendly (((HUGS)))
Have a fun, safe trip Jeanette.

We had more storms come through this morning early. Luckily it was over by the time I had to leave for the office and then was a little on the cloudy side most of the day, but no more rain. We're supposed to get more Friday night into Saturday which is not a good thing. My DD and SIL are involved in a huge fund raising Gala Friday dinner and auction night trying to raise money to build a theater out in their area of town. Part of it is supposed to be outside. I did buy a ticket to go, but if the weather is bad, I"m not going to drive out there. At least my ticket is already paid for.

Just North of my area, they had very high winds and the ground was so saturated from the heavy rain we had and the flooding that some trees just uprooted and fell over. I heard of a couple people being injured by the trees falling on mobile homes.

With all the rain we've had, I wonder how far my lawn guy is backed up. He was supposed to come mow today, but didn't. Not sure if it was because it was too wet or if he's still trying to catch up from all the rain last week.

Glad you're getting a break from your usual heavy load. Hahaha!

Yeah, I didn't really have one to trade in or upgrade, so I just picked the one that I really liked and went with it. In 2 years I can trade this one in for a newer one if I want, but in 30 months I'll own it outright. I'll probably hold on to this one for as long as I can. One of my bosses has that big iPhone. It's almost as big as my Kindle! I didn't want one that big.

I was out tending to my caterpillars and butterflies this evening and saw two wasps flying around my Milkweed plants. I keep a flyswatter out there, so I grabbed it and was able to get both of them. Did I mention Saturday about the butterfly coming into my yard and flying all around for a really long time and then came back later that afternoon? Well, I think it came back today while I was out there. It comes and just flies all over the yard. A few times flew pretty close to me. I just love to watch it. I released a few more today. There is still one that didn't want to come out and 2 that didn't make it. Their wings didn't open so they could fly. That is so heartbreaking because there's nothing I can do about that. I saw another chrysalis on the floor of the hutch, so I picked it up and put it up in one of the pots on top to see if it will hatch like the other one did. I'm still finding a few more out on my plants that I keep adding to the hutch. Right now I have half of my plants that are leafless. Some of my other ones are growing more leaves and that helps but it may not be soon enough. I think I need to have a greenhouse and grow them through the Winter so I have some in the Spring and not have to buy them.

Our office has been providing all kinds of food for us this week for Staff Appreciation Week (which used to be Secretary's Day). Monday they had 3 different cakes. Tuesday morning they brought in bagels and cream cheese. Today we had Goode Co. BBQ lunch with pies for dessert. Tomorrow they are having build your own ice cream sandwiches, and now I can't remember what Friday is. They also gave us a GC. We got to choose from 3 different places which one we wanted. I told her either Macy's or Amazon and I got Macy's. I'll have to carefully consider what I'm going to purchase with my found $$.

Deal of the Day on Amazon today was discount on Skechers! I went and checked it out and ended up buying 2 pair for the price of what one pair would cost.

My roomie's sister takes Tramadol daily for pain--she is 72 so it is for arthritis and just other pains-she has an incredibly low pain tolerance. She had lived with us for 9 months a few years ago after she was very sick and was not taking care of herself. We realized she was taking a huge amount of Excedrin every day and it was damaging her GI. Tramadol was recommended by her doctor for her pain as it is not an NSAID, which are bad when used too often, especially in elderly people. Anyway--yes, Tramadol is a controlled substance, but for her, is better to use than Advil or things like that. Maybe more than you wanted to know...................

Not at all. Good thing to know because I have those things - pain, arthritis and I can't take Excedrin because it contains caffeine, and I am sensitive to that. Maybe I'll check into that and have my orthopedist give me a scrip for it.

I wouldn't be too keen to get onto tramadol - it can be addictive, and frequently causes nausea and vomiting - and for DH, we have discovered, itching!!

Hi girls! In from the afternoon commute, but about to head out in an hour to take little man to Boy Scouts. We live so far from the church that hosts, while everyone else lives next door, so we've a bit of a drive each week. It's also right by Starbucks so OOOPS! quick turn! LOL!

LOOKIE, LOOKIE!! I water colored!! I had so much fun while the boys were camping - painting, playing! My entire dining room table was full! Another card group was talking about the Recollections water color crayons - which I already have a few sets of other brands - and I had just seen them at Michaels. Intriqued, I went back and left them- three times! My dd17 convinced me to just get them and splurge once in awhile so yep, they fell in my basket! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of watercolor cards. I mean, I SWOON! I pin them, I save them, I blurf them, I go looking for deets ..........

I'm clearly a novice!! But I tried I love the creative outlet part so I'll keep practicing.

You can take a peek here *Sandcastle Stamper* : Watercolor Fun!*

Maggie, I'm jealous on the Sketchers - those are my favorite tennies! In fact, they just opened a Sketchers store by our house! But it's pricey - $50 and up for a pair. I'm going to go look .... is it today only? enjoy your new shoes!

*Waving to everyone!*
