It's been a loooong time since I last posted here (on SplitCoast) and my blog. I am so sorry for being so inactive and hope you all can forgive me.
Last month, my husband and I experienced the loss of our baby about the time when I stopped posting. We had been quietly excited that I was expecting since we had been trying to get pregnant for over four years. We had not shared the news with others - yes, even family since it was still early. The most distressing thing was that it happened as I was traveling to a business meeting in Montreal. It was extremely difficult to be far away when it happened - no husband, no doctor, nothing familiar.
As Lois explained in the old group thread, I had also started my new position in mid-May, and was not sure if I could continue moderating the group. I had planed on being part of the group, just not be coordinating activities with the demands of my job responsibilities. I suppose it was some kind of blessing that I was able to seek refuge in my busy work schedule. I was not doing anything that I thought would cause me to be grief-stricken......no stamping, no shopping, no driving past the parks, nothing that would send me to a crying frenzy all over again thinking about our loss. That included visiting blogs for fear that I could see photos of family (especially babies and young children).
I apologize deeply for not sending writing sooner. I thought I owed the group an explanation and apology for my extended absence. I'm finally back online and exploring without becoming too emotional. I plan to resume posting this coming week and visiting blogs to be inspired again. I am glad to see that you are continuing with the group blog. If you would let me, I would love to join your new group. If not, I understand completely.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know this is a deep hurt that takes much time to heal. My sister had 2 miscarriages and our entire family felt the loss. Praying for healing & peace for you & your husband.
Hey girls! I am so sorry for my long absence. I just realized that although all of your blogs were listed on my blog roll, they were not all showing up. I have fixed the problem. I would love to participate in this group if there is still room for me, if not thanks for all of the inspiration from your fabulous blogs.
I really feel terrible for being away so long. I have been updating my blog with the new SU information (and updating the blog list).....finally got all that done so I can post some cards and visit blogs tomorrow!

Ladies I AM SO SORRY!! I feel terrible as I had some challenging times which is why I have not blogged as often, however I would still like to be part of this group I loved looking at all your blogs especially as you guys have different SU stuff than us here in the UK< I still have everyone from the first round added to my blog and unaware that the first group desintegrated I went ahead and left some comments. However there are a few blogs out there that will not accept my comments for some unknown reason.
So let me know if I could join you all if is too late I will totallly understand M xx

OK, as many of you know that SU has put out a New Independant Demonstrator Agreement. IF you have anything on your blog NON SU, you won't be able to be listed on anyones blog list. I am sorry to see that in print, but again feel for those of you (us) that do post anything other than SU on their blogs.
I, for one will be making some changes on my blog in the very near future.
I suggest those of you that are nothing but SU to do the same.
We, as a group need to figure out what we are going to do about our little blog group. Do you want to keep it going? Do you want to keep it as it is, just not show links on our blogs to others that do other companies? Lets get this discussed and finalized before the end of Sept.

I'll be making my changes after class today Lois. We're supposed to be a SU! Only group anyway so I feel that our links should remain for those that comply with that. There's other blogs that I LOVE to visit but will have to remove the links later. As for the DT that I'm on, Etsy Inspired.....I use SU! product so I'm sticking with it. I will have to stop posting links in my posts though but will send out an email to them about that.
I intend to comply fully but I think this pretty intrusive and restrictive.
I do think this is pretty strict. For example, I have friends that design for different companies and now I cannot put a link to their blog on mine or even have them as a friend on facebook??. I understand not having ads for competing companies but links to your friends' blogs just because they have ads for competing companies????? This feels a little too intrusive!
I for one am not thrilled about the restrictions regarding blogs, Facebook, and email. I'm not sure what I am going to due about my demoship. I will keep you lovely ladies posted!
I signed the IDA today but only after they softened somewhat on their Q & A about links to friends blogs. I agree that we should not be promoting competing products but what I disagreed with was having to not have links to blogs that might have links or ads for competing products. To me that was too intrusive and too hard to track.
So my blog is compliant. The only think I had to take off was a link to The Web Store-an online auction.
I really don't have much of an online presence. All the blogs that I have listed pretty much are SU! demos, so I feel okay with the links I have. I have a facebook account, but barely go on it. That is mostly family, coworkers, and people I went to school with. I do not think any of them work for a competing company.
Now that they have softened their restrictions, I think the group is okay to keep going, correct?

I know I begged the group to let me join the blog roll again in July. Despite best intentions, I have not posted on my blog. I created the blog mostly to communicate with customers about SU promos and events. In light of the changes that SU is requiring all bloggers and since I am seriously considering hanging up my SU apron I would no longer be blogging altogether.
I apologize once again for being the errant member of this group and wish everyone luck with your SU businesses.
