I have always wanted to join one of these blog groups, but it looks as if they are all full. Guess you have to jump on the chance right away. I'm not a SU demo either. Would anyone be interested in starting a new group for non SU demos?
Some people have chimed in and this is what we are thinking.....
What you have to be willing to do:
1. Maybe kinda obvious, but you have to have a blog to participate =)
2. A minimum post of once a week is a must, we want to see what sort of crafty things you're up to! Post more often if you would like, but at least once a week.
3. All your fellow blog group folk need to be in a linked list in the sidebar of your blog. If you're not sure how to create a list, speak up and someone will help out!
4. Support your fellow bloggers with comments at least once a week and more if you would like. That's what the group is all about!! Support, inspiration and hopefully some lasting friendships.
What we hope to see:
- This is a NVR blog group, so you don't have to use certain vendors to participate.
- Anything paper crafting related....cards, scrapbooks, craft projects, altered items.
- We'd love to see focus on Nesties (die cuts) but it's not a requirement.
- Blog candy is NOT a must, but is totally welcome!
- Using new techniques and challenging yourself to "step outside the box" would be fabulous
- Playing in challenges if you would like.
- HAVE FUN! =)
Please don't let the list scare you off, it's tenative ideas and definately not requirements.
Okay so I read a few of the closed threads and have a better idea what's involved. Got any ideas for a name for this new group?
What are Nesties?
I like it being a NVR blog. I'm also all over the map when it comes to paper crafting (cards and projects and scrap booking) so I wouldn't join a group that was -just- one of them
Hi! I would love to start a blog group with ya. I also use nesties all the time. And love the idea of it being a nesties group. I am not an SU demo. But love SU stuff! I update my blog almost daily and would love some new viewers.

I think it would be kind of fun to have the name be Nesties Blogging Group, but you wouldn't HAVE to use them. It would be a win win for everyone.
Let me know what you girls think. Maybe we should start the sign up? It would be great to keep it small like the others, around 10 of us? We would post on each others blogs once a week like the others? Become followers of each others blogs? I think it would be nice to post a link to each others blogs somewhere on ours?

Haha! that's so funny Jenny, I JUST finished composing a new post (haven't posted it yet) to see if there's any interest (the Nesties thing threw me off cause, until now, I didn't know what they are).

Check out the original post. I made some changes. Ruth and I have been talking and thought we should add in "love to see Nesties but not req." We also thought we should change the name for this reason. Something cute and creative. What are you thoughts? If you are ok with this, I will add your name to the above list.

Hey Kristin, you might have it on "daily" subscription instead of "instant", or "IM" instead of "email"?
I saw a neat way to add folks as a blog feed instead of just a links list (check my blog to see what it looks like) it shows who's updated and when!! Really cool! Any of you on blogger (all of us I think?) who want to know how to do that let me know and I'll post the step-by-step!

Just cleaned the whole house today... phew! We are leaving for a long weekend Thurs - Sunday and I want the house to be clean before we leave. I also have tons of laundry to do before I pack everyone up.

1.) How long have you been stamping?
I started stamping about two years ago... but I've been a papercrafter about a year longer (scrap booking, I started with Creative Memories) and a general crafter for... well... ever... I'm a Guider
2.) How did you get into stamping?
One of the ladies from my mom group signed up as a SU demo and I went to her first party. It was a blast and I'm still attending her monthly parties two years later!
3.) Do you also scrapbook?
I do, though not as much as I use to. Stamps are great for scrap booking too!
4.) How long have you had your blog?
Officially? about two months or more, but I think I registered for a blogger account a long time ago.
5.) Are you on any DT's?
Took me a minute to realize that meant Design Teams I'm not, I've not been invited to one and I don't participate in challenges (YET) so I haven't seen any cause for me TO get invited yet!
6.) What is your favorite stamp company?
That's a tough one. I like the stamps both from SU and CTMH but I like CTMH's organization more and SU's cardstock more.
7.) Are you married?
Ten years now (well five married, we got married on our 5th anniversary).
8.) Have kids?
Koen will be 4 in Jan, Kerowyn just turned 2 and Elora was born this last May.
9.) How often do you come to SCS?
Recently I'm here 6-7 times a day... my kitchen is a reflection of that... and of course the messy kitchen drives me to come here more often. It's a vicious cycle.

Just under 2 years now. October will be 2 years.
2.) How did you get into stamping?
I joined in a challenge to make a card on a message board I used to frequent.(no longer around so I opened my own) I have been hooked ever since!
3.) Do you also scrapbook?
Yes, I started out scrapbooking. And I find that I am slowly getting back into it again. But that 12 x 12 space seems so big now!

Yes I am on the Paper Therapy DT

I have alot of SU stuff but just recently really started liking Papertrey Ink.

I have been stamping for about two years,I Did stop for about a year,Until I met faith on ebay.And she really inspired me to get back into it.

I believe I regerstered in 2008.But just last year I started using it.

Im not sure, I have so many from different companies.And right now DIGIS are a big thing for me.

I was born with acrylic blocks and a set of Prismacolor Pencils!
2.) How did you get into stamping?
I have forever been a craftaholic and always dabbled here and there with rubber stamps, but I'd have to say I REALLY got into stamping when I was 14-15. It was around that time that scrapbooking really took off, and I went into a store thinking it was purely scrapbooking supplies, when in reality, it was an all-stamps store. When I saw what I could do to my scrapbooks with rubber stamps, I was hooked!
3.) Do you also scrapbook?
I do but definitely not as much as I used to.
4.) How long have you had your blog?
I think it was around November 2009.
5.) Are you on any DT's?
Not officially. I've never applied due to fear of commitment. Although I've been approached by a few to design a few cards on the fly which has worked out nicely.
6.) What is your favorite stamp company?
Such a tough question. I think for digi stamps, it'd have to be Mo's Digital Pencil. Her images are so much fun to color. For woodmounted stamps, I think I might have to go with Whipper Snapper. I love all of their characters.
7.) Are you married?
No but I've been with my boyfriend, Brian for 7 years now. Is fear of commitment becoming a running theme in this post?
8.) Have kids?
Yes, a 10-year old Shih-Tzu, Oliver, and a 5-year old Chihuahua, Spike.
9.) How often do you come to SCS?
A lot more than I used to thanks in part to you ladies.

Extra info: I'm 29, I'm from Wethersfield CT, I'm an Education Service Specialist for the CT Department of Education, and I'm so excited to be part of this new group. Should be fun!
