So glad you could get rid of your cast. So sorry you had to even have it happen. Hope it will be healing by the time you go back.

Hey Sharon!

How are you today? Snow all gone? Those were pretty pictures. Just don't let it snow in a couple weeks

Will they not get along if they are both boys?

While Bear was not being 'mean' he is at least 4 times (probably closer to 5 or 6) times Honey's size. He had him mashed to the ground trying to hump him. I'm more afraid he'll hurt the little guy.

He's listed on Missouri Paws lost and found, with a local news channel's animal lost and found (anyone missing a bunny?) plus the local no-kill shelter. He's been plastered on FB til you'd think he was royalty.

Tramadol, because of my blood clotting issue and being on Coumadin I'm very limited as to what I can take. No a sprin or NSAIDs or related products.

Good to see a bit of chat activity here. I was a step away from leaving the group. I can talk to myself easily enough around the house

Thanks, Joyce! Checking them out. Since I'm an IM away from tears at the moment, this will be a pleasant distraction.

Joyce, I found all 9 so far. Let me know if you're missing any. Cute projects. Wish I had time to get in the studio to do them. Have other projects I'm trying to finish up.

Thanks Sharon. When I do go back, I need him to check out my right knee. It's bothering me some and I want to make sure everything is working right at the end of this.

Sorry to hear you still have sickies at your house. The stomach bug has been going around my sis's family. Hopefully it won't hop over to my house. I saw on FB this morning that my great GD's DD was sick yesterday.

Glad you can sneak away to your scrappin place.

Does the Tramadol work okay for you? My doctor wanted to give me that the last time I had a sore throat for the pain. I didn't get the scrip filled. Wish I had it now though for this arm pain, but the Ibuprofen seems to help.

Just when I get back to walking, we start again with bad weather. Hopefully it will only be a couple days and gone again.

I got home last night and my lawn guy had the sprinklers going in the front yard. So nice to see them going. The back yard is still kind of a mud pit. He is working on the back, but it's not done yet. He's supposed to finish that up today if the weather holds out. I need to get him to lay some sod down also around the flower beds and maybe over between the patio and the fence. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, he'll mow and plant flowers in the beds and remulch them. Can't wait!

Hey girls!
Looks like we could get wet here in the Ozarks this afternoon into tonight. Bob is also due in tonight. I am spending the morning cleaning kennels and maybe getting the salad bed in. The rain should be a good start for the seeds. I've not tried kale before (eaten or grown) but a nice senior gentleman at the farm store said I should try it LOL So we shall see.

I'm getting better about blog posts. I have one thing to do to finish out Friday's but otherwise everything is scheduled to run. Feels so good to be able to play again!

It's been misting and dreary here the last 2 days, but my lawn guy did come by today and mow the yard. He still needs to finish up the sprinklers and get the timers installed. I didn't talk to him this morning, so I hope he comes by this evening. I want to see about him installing some sod in the back yard along the flower beds.

I am at home today, but sadly, sick, so I don't feel like doing anything. I think it's allergies, started with the scratchy throat yesterday and the runny nose and now congestion. Hopefully, I'll feel better by tomorrow. Just taking it easy today.

Good luck with the salad garden Kelly. That would be nice to have so you could have baby lettuces and kale anytime. I like the Sweet Kale Salad that I get at HEB in a package.

Bummers you're not feeling well, Maggie. And with the dreary weather, probably a good day to just curl up with a book or some YouTube. Yes, you go through this every season and I feel for you.

I didn't get the salad bed laid out. Decided I need to mow up against where that is going to go then have Bob hold up a board to blog the 'salad' area from the grass edge so I can spray that with the vinegar solution. The salad will grow in the straw bedding, not in the ground so the vinegar should not be an issue at all but I would like to kill the grass about 4-6" out from the bed. Our ground is too rocky for that plastic edging. I have some in the greenhouse that needs a home. I thought once we get the bed in place, I might have Bob put landscaping timbers down. That seems to make a better edging but you still need to kill the grass where the timbers go.

By the time I got the kennels cleaned, fresh water in the dog buckets and the bird feed out the rain had moved in. I'm going to see what I can get done inside before Bob gets home. He should roll in about 7 p.m. just in time for me to sit in on a 2-hr webinar. LOL

Maggie I hope you feel better soon. I know what you mean about the weather it has been crazy here too. I am cool with the rain ☔ but I am not ready for the hot Texas weather😓 . My kids are starting to feel better and I want to go to the spa and get a manicure and pedicure in hopes that I can wear my dandles for two days until the rain ☔ starts again. But any excuse to go get pampered 😊

Hello Gals! I cannot believe I have not been on here lately! I think of you all every day and have not been able to drop by. Between migraines (most of last week & one this week), DD's flag twirling schedule (which ends 4/2), DH travel & DH's mom here....life has been hectic!! I have been on FB and saw Maggie took a tumble....Hope you are feeling better Maggie! I also saw the dog that found you Kelly. Do you still have him?

So as far as meeting up goes...I am still game for it. I would love to. I am tied up June, July and Labor Day weekend. So August could work for me as could mid-September. Let me know what you all want to do. Maggie, if you get to Arizona for the Copics class let me know. I will do my best to drive to you even if it is just for lunch or dinner. Keep me posted. I am assuming it is in the Phoenix area. Is it at the CKU convention?

The pocket letter sounds fun but at this time I think I would be over committing myself to take it on. Maybe later next month???

So, off to PHX I go this Fri-Sat. DD has her Winter Guard (flag twirling) finals...Championship competition. I have a hotel reserved to spend Fri night up there. I started out with one at $175 a night and ended up finding an $89 Springhill Suites today. I like the $89 rate MUCH better. Plus we will get Marriott points for the stay. Breakfast included I am SO looking forward to the end of this season.

Ok... I am off to bed. I have work all day tomorrow and then Friends & Family night at DD school. Not to mention my MIL is here visiting AND DH has been out of town the majority of her visit. Good times here! LOL!!! MIL is here for 10 days, stays at a hotel but it is still a lot. Love her dearly but I do love my normal routine. Honestly, I just get tired discussing where and when we are eating. Most nights I am good with a bowl of oatmeal & an apple. LOL!!! Take care everyone! Hope to check in tomorrow or Friday.

Oh! My desert tortoises are out of hibernation and wide awake now! They were sooooo sleepy for a few weeks! Now they are moving and eating. So fun! Can't believe how much they grow while hibernating. I still cannot believe how attached I am to desert tortoises. LOL

Brenda, you are one busy lady! Yes, I like $89 better than $175 also. Good luck to DD in the twirling competition.

I remember that you MIL does not stay with you when she visits. That is too much to have to be running over to her hotel all the time.

Not only did I fall and break my arm, now I have the runny nose, congestion, and fever, so I'm home from work.

I most likely am not going to Phoenix as much as I would love to go. I'd really much rather meet up with you guys, so we really need to figure that out. The Copics class would run me about $1000 with the class, hotel and airfare to AZ. I got sprinklers at my house instead

I had a weird thing happen this morning. It was about 9:30 and I was laying in bed and the front doorbell rang. I got up out of bed to look outside to see if I could tell who it was and there was no car or anything in front of my house or in the driveway. I went to the door and there was no one on my porch either and no package or anything that had been left. I hate when weird things like that happen. Have no idea who it could have been. I did turn my alarm system back on though.

Just a quick pop-in for me. Bob has gone into town for a hair appt. Then he'll stop by and pick me up to go sign the papers on the refinancing of the house. Then I guess we are going to look at a van. The downside to his new job is there is no hotel nearby and he will still have to go up a day early. He's been wanting a van for awhile now so a van it is, I guess LOL

We also have a dog. :: sigh:: I KNEW this would happen when Bob came home. He has already designed and measure for the kennel he will use outside. We are picking up supplies today.

Wow, Brenda. You have been busy. A shame Andy's not home to enjoy his Mom's visit. Let us know how the kids do in Flag competition.

LOL! No flowers, no nothing. Since I didn't see a vehicle outside, whoever it was must have been on foot. I was thinking it must have been someone scouring the neighborhood to see who was home or not. That's why I turned my alarm system back on.

Great news on the refinance and the new van. So I guess it will be his hotel when he goes on his trips.

Man's best friend! I guess Honey and Bob get along just fine.

It's been a low key day here. I did get a few things done off and on all day. I cleaned out the butterfly hutch of all the pots that were used and no caterpillars on them. There are only a few caterpillars left that haven't yet made it up to the top somewhere to make their chrysalis. I counted about 26 or 28 already up there. That is some kind of record. I need to go back to the nursery and get some more plants to put in the garden and have some for the next round.

I did a little cleaning up out in my workroom, but I need 2 good arms to really do any more, so that will have to wait until the arm is healed. Most of what I want to do in my stamp room has to wait also until the workshop is fixed up.

I did get a little nap time in too. I thought I'd be able to get back to work tomorrow, but my temp is up to 99.6 again this afternoon. Not enough to go to the doctor, but enough to keep me home.

I'm wishing that Miguel would come by and get the sprinklers hooked up to the timers and so I can talk to him about putting down the sod in the back yard. I haven't paid him yet, so I know he'll be coming back at some point in time. I know he's also busy with the rest of his business.

Didn't go see my MIL today....couldn't do it...too tired. I got my bowl of oatmeal and an apple for supper tonight. LOL I have to head up to DD school shortly for Friends and Family night of her twirling. Then it is off to PHX tomorrow.

Maggie...sorry to hear that you are sick. So much of it going around!!

Joyce..I saw on FB you daughter is home. Glad she is there. I know it is hard to live so far apart.

Kelly... I knew that dog belonged with you & Bob. LOL!! He is too cute to give up. Plus the dog is probably thinking of your place as home by now. So....what will his name be????

I placed a large order with Stamps of Life that arrived last week. Unfortunately I have had no time to play with it yet.

Can I tell ya....I do not miss being a CTMH consultant at all. LOL One less thing for me to keep up with. I have so many stamps I bought and have yet to use. So many crafts so little time!!

I went to Hobby Lobby on my lunch hour today. I really needed some retail therapy. I had the oddest group of patients this morning. One guy just dropped by to show us his face and how good it looked after his oral surgery yesterday (no swelling today.....guess he could not just call and tell me). Well my Dr was with a patient so the drop by guy decides to wait. For the next half an hour I had to pretend to be on the phone so he would quit talking. THEN... of all things he starts doing yoga in my waiting room. UGH! We had other patients in the room. SO incredibly odd! I was ready to scream! Finally I just left my desk and went and sat (hid) in my supply closet. LOL I just could not take this guy any longer. So so so odd!!!!

Next up....my mother. She is in horrible pain....gall bladder maybe? I do not know. We are waiting to hear back from her Dr. She never takes care of her health so I hope this time she does. Love her but she frustrates me.

After typing all of this I guess I am just irritated in general today. LOL!!! Thanks for listening.

On a great note, DH made it home safely. He is here for the next week and then it is back to Boston. He may get to Barcelona in May. Travel request has been put in. I am excited for him if this gets approved. Fingers crossed.

Maggie...sorry you will not be coming to AZ. I get it though. Very pricey for a weekend.

Ok... I am off to the school to watch some flag twirling.

I"m sure your MIL understands that you can't take time out to visit her everyday. Besides, whose mother is she anyway? Should have timed that to be sure that your DH was around to do some visiting too.

Thanks Brenda. Unfortunately, I've had one thing and then another already this year. It hasn't been a good one for me. I sure hope that it eases up and the rest of the year goes well.

I'll be in pending with SU starting today and it really doesn't matter that much to me either. They are so casual about the whole demo thing. You get kicked off the team and then they turn around and invite you back on again and give you gifts to join up! Makes no sense.

LOL! I bet you get some doozers in the dentist office.

HOpe your mom is okay. She sounds a bit like my SIL's mom. She doesn't take care of herself either, has lots of health issues, and wants to be pampered and taken care of all the time and it usually falls to my SIL and DD to take over. Now she is retiring and moving down from Portland to an area close to where my DD and SIL live. DD says, I hope she understands that we both work LONG hours and will NOT be at her beck and call.

I hope DH makes some time to visit with his mom while he is home. Wow! Barcelona! I guess you don't get the option to go with him. That would be really awesome. What kind of work does he do again that takes him all over the globe?

Yes, it was really hard for me to decide against the Arizona trip. I would have loved to go not just because it was Copics and Stephanie Dove, and Zoe from Make It Crafty, but I'd hope to see you again too! I do hope that we can still make that happen this year.

Well, Brenda, your life sounds full right now! Issues with both your MIL and Mother. I hope they find out quickly the cause of the pain for your Mom, and that it isn't serious.
Oh, and thank you for stopping by my Blog. That is first time I have posted in a month! LOL

Maggie, it has been one thing after another for you this year! Did you work today? Did you ever hear from the sprinkler people?

Does anyone want to hear about our happening? I will tell you anyway! LOL Last night, I went over to my craft room and was on the floor looking for something. When I got up the knees of my jeans were soaked! Then I realized the whole carpet at that end of my craft room was soaked. I went into the storage room and walked around the corner, and that was full of water. It was the hot water heater. So, called plumber last night and left message. Larry turned off the water to the water heater. First thing this morning the plumber called and came out this morning and put in a new one! So happy we could get it done quickly and that we were home when it happened. So all day, I have been moving my cabinets and stamping shelves and three drawer plastic containers away from that wall. I have been stomping on towels soaking up water and drying them, and doing it again. Have a fan over there going. But now my room is an absolute mess, everything out of order and place. The only thing ruined was two folders of stamped images. It had fallen on the floor between two cabinets. So just trashed them. Good way to get rid of stash! We consider our selves blessed. Just a lot of work. But I am tired! I have had my work out today!

Oh, if anyone wants to scrap here is my Scraplift Challenge for April. Come play. Kelly? Nancy? others?
