Hello Susan... hmmmmm.... I'm sure you'd look STUNNING in purple.

My DH is having a hard time with the COVID times in which we live, too... but he won't be dying his hair purple. He's bald.

Be sure to share a picture if you do it.

Hello and late check in!  Jeanette your graphic is adorable!!  I'm still waiting on fall here ......

DD had a tire blow out and it's POURING torrential rain here - had it towed to Firestone and I dropped off The Kid (in the pouring rain) to get to the shop at 7 am.  And, of course, they weren't on time! LOL    Dh met us there (to make sure we ladies weren't ripped off, isn't he sweet!) AND stopped by Starbucks for me - surprise!  I almost cried in the lobby!  And ...... I set it down after taking only 2 sips and it was knocked over.  I almost got arrested today for punching someone!  Kidding .........  it was an accident.  But me - and him - THAT GUY ....... won't be friends! EVER!  LOL!!  Thankfully dh had left and wasn't there to see it so shhhhhhhhhhhh!

This was the Monday-est Wednesday ever.

And now I see Susan may possibly be losing her mind - ROFL!  Stamping Brent's head and coloring it in - whatever you are having, girl, make mine a double, LOL!

I have to scramble and make a card because apparently I can't read correctly and did the exact opposite!  Yikes!

Can I just go back to bed now?!

Hugs!

Gosh dang been up since 6 have laundry going already I should be nice and start some breakfast for my crew.

Hello again!

No 'Bux at 6:30 - The line was snaked around the building!  I'll go back later at pick up time .... at least it's not raining anymore - 4 days straight of that.

My crafty goodies have all been arriving and I've had ZERO time to create!  I made (the wrong) card 2 days ago because I can't read instructions, didn't make one at all for today's DT due to lack of time ..... can someone adopt me, preferably with a craft room and supplies? LOL!

Lynn, you must be getting SO EXCITED!!!!!!  And Shel-Belle, too - soon you'll see baby Rowan!

Hello Paper-Loving Inky Friends!

Happy Thursday Good Morning quotes quote days of the week thursday thursday quotes happy thursday happy thursday quotes

Today is the day! Waving g'bye to Lynn and Shelly as they head out on awesome adventures!

Kelly, oh how sad. I think your non-friend should have dashed to the nearest Starbucks and brought you  a new one. UGH! I'm so sorry yours was spilled. And Yikes on the rain! I'm thankful your DD was okay and she got the tire taken care of okay, right?

Susan, I'm giggling. I can't imagine DH would take kindly to that at all. Sheesh! When the kids were young our oldest son wanted to get him a quirky tie for Christmas and you should have seen DH's reaction when DS told him he'd wanted to but mom said no. Me oh My! (DH is much more serious and straight-laced than his adoring wife.)

Thank you, Jeanette and Kelly, for the great send off! Yes, packing the suitcase, packing the car and hitting the road!! I can hardly wait. I will leave here at about 3 p.m.

My cleaning lady comes this morning, so I will even be coming home to a clean house!

Kelly, I STILL have one more card I have to get done, too! Poor time management on my part, but I will be working on it as soon as I finish posting here. My apologies for neglecting the blogs this week. Maybe I can play catch up using my phone from the car tomorrow.

SOOO sorry about the tragic loss of the Bux!! How horrible! Good that you have the new wheel and are back on the road again!

Susan, I know you would look stunning with purple hair. You have me rolling on the floor with visions of Brock drawing on his dad's head!! LOL!!

Shelly, happy trails to you!! I know you are as excited as I am!

Just dashing in to say SAFE TRAVELS, Shelly and Lynn!

My dh is watching the debates and I wanted no part of this one since I've already voted - whatever is said matters not at this point!

Did get a card made - WOOT!  It's amazing what I can accomplish without my sidekick, LOL!

Hello Paper-Loving Inky Friends!

And they are off - Lynn and Shelly, enjoy every moment of your time away!

Kelly, I'm liking the way you spent the evening. If I had to choose between making a card and watching the debate, I'd make the same choice.

Susan, I hope your day begins well today!

Susan, did you want to see the mute button in action... or did you want to control that mute button? LOL!

Ummmmm.... I hope you find the paper. The pumpkin paper on my card was "found" at Hobby Lobby a year or two ago, if my memory is correct. (I'm guessing, though I don't know - that it is from Paper Studio).

Hello Hello!

No school here today - woot!  I slept until 10 am!  Unheard of!  But it was ...... nice
Weekend plans will be helping Opa build a sand box for Alice!  Our play fort (from our kids) has a small area underneath for a sandbox but it's been a hot minute since they used it - grass has grown in, boards need replacin' and sand carted in!  She loves her moon sand so why not give her a 9 x 9 bed of play sand, too - LOL!

Wishing you all a fun day!

How fun Kelly.  Our play gym has an underneath thing for a sand box but out here in the woods many wild animals including feral cats would be enjoying it as a potty so no sand boxes for us.  Neighbor had one of those hard plastic ones by little tykes with a lid and darn raccoons figured out how to flip the lid after they messed with the latchs.  DETERMINED!!!!

Jeanette not having much luck but I did see a paper studio pad on hobbylobby.co that is similar.  I might just order it.  I do not have many fallish papers.

Kelly, you and Alice must have needed some rest... I'm glad you were both able to sleep in! How fun that she's getting her own sand box, too. Does she know or is it going to be a surprise?

Susan, I just sent you a link via FB PM... I think I found it.

Looks like its time for the heated bird bath to come out.  Both of my birdbaths have frozen over night.  So yes its a bit chilly here.  lol

I have been such a lazy butt.  I still have not started the Christmas cards I said I was starting last week and I have not put anything on my blog and I haven't visited any blogs!!  I will definately do at least one of those 3 today for sure.  Maybe then I'll get motivated.  Oh I just remembered.....I did start my Christmas Shopping!  So thats good right?  heeheehee

I keep thinking I'm forgetting something...................hmmmmmm...well if it comes to mind I'll be back.

Waving to all

Yes we do and it IS a thing.  Got it from the nursery out here about 15 yrs ago.  Its not freestanding but rather gets screwed on to the rail of our deck and then plug it in.  The water doesn't get warm just warm enough to not freeze.  The birds love being abole to get a drink during the winter.  At least I'd like to think they like it lol.  I'm sure Shelly probably has one since she a big nature person.

Good morning - PicMix

Well i was TODAY years old when I learned there were heated bird baths!  I guess living in the south lends someone to be ignorant of such things!   Those are some very loved and cared for creatures!

Oddly, I just finished a bird card - LOL!  Birdhouses are the cutest - time for Alice and I to make one since The Kid's is a bit weather beaten!

Susan, we used to have that trouble with cats in the 'hood but since the monster dogs moved in next door, and now on the other side, and now behind us, we sadly don't have those visitors anymore.  The ones to the right are 24/7 kill mode ... ahem, our bird.  So .......... no kitties unless it's out front, which is rare.  We haven't seen AWaWa much so we leave food out anyway.

Waving!

Kelly, I'm the same... had no clue there was such a thing. And I don't live in the south. Silly me.

Oh, I will look forward to seeing a picture of it when you and Miss Alice get your birdhouse finished.

We love doing birdhouses with the kids.  DH builds them and the kids paint and decorate.  We have alot in our trees and ds just started hanging them in his trees.  We also have a few up at the cabin including a Bat house we hung to keep the bats around so they can eat all those skeeters we get up there.  To be honest I don't think they like our house cuz no one has ever checked in and it's been hanging for 20 years.  We move it around the property every few years incase it's a location issue but they still wont check in.  We hear owls all the time here at home so we built a few owl houses but the squirrels moved in instead.
I too would love to see Alices birdy house when you get one.

Again got nothing done yesterday but I did watch the 2 new 2020 Hallmark Christmas movies last night.  LOL yep it started.......2 full months of new Hallmark holiday movies and Lifetime also started their new Holiday movies too.  I admit I love the mushiness in the beginning then I get "Movie'd Out" 1/2 way through.  I'm the person who watchs and then blurts out "You know last year it was girl owns book store, developers come inn to tear down, boy who works for developers fall for book girl and he and the town say the day!"  This year only difference in that scenerio was that it was a music store.  LOL  Yep.....I know what your thinking...."Susan! Get a Life!"  lol

Have a happy Sunday!

Default Hello

Wahoo- waving hello from Colorado!

Lynn- safe travels and how sweet of you to stock up the card for your co-travelers!  Praying you had beautiful weather today for the ceremony!

Kelly- what drama, and learning forgiveness- yikes- glad you did not punch the person that knocked over your coffee!  That is pretty bad of them, even if it was an accident!  I would be so embarassed and would have to (aka insist) on replace it I'm thinking!

Susan- I am reading the thread to DH about the purple hair and drawing/Stamping and coloring on Jeanette's hubby- he is getting a kick out of the story line!  Oh boy, did not think of the bird baths freezing, but know both of my neighbors have food and birdbaths out.  I will get that heater set up when we get back home.  Last year when we were gone, we forgot about the bird baths and the one with a bubbler cracked- that was an expensive boo boo! No fixing it!
Hope DS gets his results soon!

Jeanette- Fun to get another new store- now, this may be a silly question, but won't Dollar General and DT be competition for each other??? So sorry hubby is struggling with the Covid thing.....  we are so fortunate hubby works at home.  We are talking alot about when he retires and insurance- I could try to find a part time job, but his is really flexible so we could travel and he could work where ever he is : )

Apparently, much different than the first Covid 'outbreak' where the numbers were so low here, there is a breakout here (boo).....  4 schools closed last week here with 78 cases!  My DIL says it is from people taking the trip here from Denver to 'get away' and go mountain biking, or stopping here on the way back from visiting Moab, Utah.....  There are a couple of restaurants that have high ratings that are still allowed to have service under tents- we will not do that- maybe all order out or cooking in.
And, the baby is adorable- such a personality!  And, looks so much like my son did at this age!  We are staying in the guest house, so quiet time when baby naps.  I have a little bit of stamping supplies with me, so trying to make some more Christmas cards!  I will get to blogs this week as well.
One of my friends- still working as a nurse- dropped off an N-95 for me and hubby which is nice for the plane ride.  I am not sure I'd be able to do the trip back driving, we'll see.  We get out and walk alot here- yesterday 15,000 steps, and today- it's raining and chilly, so only 5000 steps so far.

We both voted by mail before we left.  In Illinois, our Presidential vote won't count for much, but the State Congress and State Rep will count, so decided to get that done.

Inky hugs to all! Hope the week is fabulous for all!

Shelly

Hello Paper-Loving Inky Friends!

Happy Monday! via www.Facebook.com/SheriShares

Susan, you are a hoot - even if you need to get a life. Just kidding! I'm thinking you're enjoying the movies and life, too!

Shelly, it's so good to see you! I'm sure you're enjoying those sweet baby cheeks! I'm sorry to hear COVID has arrived there with more vigilance, too. That's what we're finding in our area. It's so sad. Thank you for your kind words regarding my DH. He just is hurting so much for the churches/pastors/etc. Plus he doesn't like change and the whole world has changed too much for his comfort through all of this. I think the most surprising thing to me though is the fact that he's upset that I'm staying home all the time. I'm handling that well, but he's not. Hmmmm!

Waving to Kelly - as she drives by on the school run! And waving to Lynn, too!

Have a great day everyone!

Monday- Fall~

Hello and happy Monday!  On the phone half the morning dealing with insurance and drs and appointments and tests - ugh!  Apparently no one wants to work, ROFL!

Shelly, so good to see you check in - oh the baby snuggles!  You must be in yoru=95 spike in cases - we wear the N 95 to appointments and such but they are a struggle to breath in so we've moved to cloth with filters for quick errands.  Travel safe!

Jeanette - Happy Birthday!  Im' sure your husband and son just want you to be with them since they travel and do their outings .... of course they want your company!

Lynn, i can't wait to see your wedding photos!!!  I'm sure the event was a beautiful one!

Hi to Susan and dashing off - again!

So a wee bit of snow this morning and now it's melted.  I am not ready for winter I still want fall.  Of course I'll have to say with all the Hallmark movies on right now I told DH I want to start Christmas decorating!  LOL...Can you believe he said"NO"!  Not sure if we will even being having Christmas.  Did I tell you MIL's mom is covid positive?  Yep...she had decided to gather with her girlfriends a week ago Friday and then that Sunday one of the ladies called and said she was positive.  Shortly after she got a call from cdc to go get tested.  That same day she started fevers.  She is now quarantined and positive.  Luckly she had not been with the kids since the thursday before her friend gathering.  But my DIL is quite cautious and has locked everyone down til her mom is better.  School is letting her teach remotely so that's good.  Jeanette I'm kind of like you...I don't mind staying home.  My only issue is not seeing the kids as much as I want to.  Now with DIL's mom positive I haven't seen the kids since the 4th.  This is going to be a long winter f I don't get some kid time.

Frustrating with all the phone calls right Kelly?  When are the surgerys planned?  Soon?

Default Hello

Hi ladies!
The rain became heavier as the day progressed, and then turned into big heavy snowflakes!  It is very rare for snow here, if it does snow, it melts pretty quickly-a day or 2 tops....but they did get about 4 inches!  It is so heavy, tree limbs are bent over! Today it was forecasted to be 20- its 27 but the sun is shining brightly.

This is the 1000 sq foot Guesthouse we are staying in.

Jeanette- I think it is your Birthday today!!!  Happy Birthday and hope your day is fabulous!
WIll you eat cake today???

Susan- yes, too early for Christmas decorations, especially when you cannot go anywhere!  So very sorry to hear about DIL's Mother having Covid!

Kelly- I love the idea of a sandbox- my kids loved playing in the sand!  I found a Little Tikes Pirate water table at the end of a driveway- went to the door and asked if it was for sale- they said take it (seriously- they are $90.00), so I did!  So, Rowan already has a dino water table and they will use the pirate ship as a sand table next summer.

Lynn- safe travels back!

The baby does not sit or snuggle- he is on the gooooo!  He does not watch TV, just go, go, go and explores and giggles so much!  He is a walking memory of his dad!
When he naps, Mom does as well. She teaches for VIP kids- in the middle of the night- teaching Chinese kids to speak English. That way, she can stay home with the baby.  On the nights Chris works, she tries to nap when he naps. SO, I use this time to catch up on the computer and make cards.  I have very limited supplies, but have been creating with a couple of card kits and some stamped images I have had for years in a baggie!  LOL  I used a Bella yesterday- remember those???

Inky Hugs to all!
Shelly

Oh Shelly sounds like a wonderful time even with snow and the guest house is adorable.  Looks like a cozy place to stay.  Enjoy the little guy who's on the run.  Its exhausting at our age but oh so fun to see them exploring.  Have fun.

Thank you for all of the sweet birthday wishes, Shelly! It's been a good day. The picture of the snow is gorgeous and I loved hearing of the things going on! Enjoy your time there!

Susan, I say put out the Christmas decorations! Do what makes you happy. I am so sorry to hear of your DIL's mother's diagnosis. Praying lots!

I'm going to be heading to bed before too much longer but wanted to stop by and let you know I'm not sure if/when you'll see me here in the thread tomorrow. I'm doing an early morning run to the small city closest to us for my monthly grocery pickup... and when I get back home it will be a busy BUSY day. I hope your day will be awesome!

Good Morning Jeanette!  Enjoy shopping..........uggghhhh....not my favorite job.  Thats why I make hubby do it.  lol  He did our hugh monthly last week and now its just odds and ends like milk and bread that he picks up here and there for us til next large run.  I use an app on our phone for grocery lists.  Best app I've ever used and we have it sync'd to both phones so if he's at Woodmans and I remember something I wanted to add to list I just type it in and he gets it right away.

I think I'm changing my mind on the teepee fold for my Christmas cards this year.  I found that to fit in a regular size envelope I have to make them pretty small and if I do them the size I wanted they ended up such a screwy size that I'd have to make all my envelopes.  Too much time involved for all that so I'm changing gears but not sure where I'm going.

Waving to everyone!

Good Afternoon sister ,have a lovely afternoon.xxx

Oh Susan... I didn't go shopping. I just picked up a huge order for the month. I put all the items in my app/order and they deliver it to my trunk when I arrive. Easy peasy. I don't know, but I'm thinking even post-pandemic I might shop this way... and leave the in-store shopping for fun stuff.

Good Morning.....Well I learned a good lesson yesterday.  As you know with my Covid Boredom Iv'e been doing some shopping on line.  Well FB keeps having these ad things pop up and one of them was for cloths in the Yellowstone line (TV show Jeanette).  I really loved the look and thought "What the heck I'll order some stuff"  It wasn't outrageous so why not.  Anyway besides the fact that they charged my credit card 3 months ag....it also took 3 months for the stuff to finally arrive.  Yesterday was the day........I started my "Happy Dance" new cloths was now in my future.  THEN..............I opened the package...........WHAT THE HECK.  All this stuff that looked so cool in pics was the worst quality.  The 3 tunic length cardigans weren't the blanket type material I expected but rather stretchy nylon like silky legging material.  Altho it only stretched in 1 direction...lengthwise..so you can barely bring the 2 fronts together.  In fact even the 2 tunics, and 2 long sleeved tee's were the same exact material.  Horrible!  I am so mad.  Guess I learned a lesson...do not buy anything advertised on FB.  Cheap? Yes.  Slow shipping? Yes  Poor quality? Yes.   Ughhhh......I should have known better.
So yep that's how I ended my day.  Today should be better right?????

Working on new Christmas card designs....dining table is a mess again!  LOL

So what's everyone doing????

Hello Susan. UGH! Sounds like today will definitely be better than yesterday was. I'm so sorry about the disappointment/frustration!

Today's plan? I plan to do some cleaning and told DH I'd make some chili for our "weekly date" so I will do a wee bit of cooking, too. Probably will make a card at some point, too. Oh, and do my 100 Days Bible journaling piece.

Well Jeanette it is a good "Chilly" day for "Chili"!!  I promised broasted chicken breast for tonight but might just tackle Chili tomorrow.  I have a recipe for Brat Chili that I got off the Wisconsin Green Bay Fox Channel cooking show Cooking With Amy.  Her show is all local.  Shops local grocery stores, heads to Door county for specialty stores, shows crafts on her show etc.  I made the Brat Chili when we were up north last year and it was pretty good.  So I might do that tomorrow.
Happy Journaling!!

Susan, I'll pass on the Brat Chili - I don't like brats. I have made chili with shredded beef roast instead of hamburger (Brock will eat it that way but not with ground beef) and it's good that way.

Glitter Graphics: the community for graphics enthusiasts!

Hello friends!

I was hoping to peek at some wedding pictures from Lynn!  Soon, I'm sure!

It's been BONKERS here - too many irons in the proverbial fire!

Susan - UGH!  Sounds like some pretty crappy clothing - can you return it?  I know you will somehow turn it around into something good in some way!

Dinner here is roast - its' been in the oven for a few hours now and it smells wonderfully nearly done - although I'll be eating the potatoes and glazed sweet carrots along with other things for my part.

Hugs!
