I have a question and a request.
Is it a problem for you that i write my posts in german?
There is a translation tool on my blog, but i could try to write my posts in english too.
And here is my request:
Please donīt give me only positive feedback if anything bug you on my cards.
I really like to get critical feedback.
This helps me to get better.
Thank you!

Sumbine, I don't care if you write your posts in German. I'm happy that there is a translation tool though! I say, it's your blog. You do what every you need to do.

You can write in German if you want to. As for the critical feedback, that is up to everyone else. I would hope people would follow your requests, but I am not really part of the group .

It's fun trying to figure out what some of it says before doing the translating! Keep it in German, it's easy to use the translation tool.

Hi Sumbine,

I think that is the beauty of the internet allowing us to make friendships with ladies from different countries! A shared interest helps bridge that gap! I wouldn't mind if you wrote it in German! My family lived in Germany (Ramstein) for only 2 years but would pack up tomorrow and go back if given the opportunity! We loved it there. My daughter, youngest, loved it so much that she's already in college credited German classes (she's only in 10th grade)! I would sort of have my own translator! LOL! She wants to go back as an exchange student but the thought alone gives me withdraw symptoms! LOL!

We need to get together a snail mail list and what about a weekly challenge, maybe rotate it amongst all of us, each person taking turns chosing a challenge.

Would a bi-weekly or once a month challenge be better? Would they be required to participate in?? I ask because I've been sick for a week now...and haven't made a thing! Not posted to my blog ... no tree up, etc. And yesterday just reading on SCS and blogs made me tired after 1/2 hour! Blah!! It seems to be this way every December!

I think chalenges are fine, but they should not be mandatory.. not everybody has time all the time or all the supplies/tools needed to complete the challenge... so I think they should be like all chalenges here on SCS - purely voluntary - maybe we could motivate each other by making it a contest from time to time

one question to Vicki - what is the sbail mail list for? I appologize if it is a stupid question

Challenges are great, I'm in group #2 also and we do challenges every 2 weeks, which seems to work better for everybody. And of course there is no pressure to do every one. As for right now, I'm sure everybody's schedule is hectic, I know mine is for sure. So if I don't get anything posted until after christmas, don't be 2 upset. We use the snail mail list for things like ann. or b day's

I'm in for challenges too, however everyone wants to work it would be totally fine with me. I agree that it not be mandatory, some weeks are always crazier in life than others. Maybe we could take turns and go in the order of our complete blogger list in Post #1 to post a challenge.

I would be up for a bi-weekly or a monthly challenge but I must warn you I am moving country back to the UK in Feb with our belongings leaving at the end of Jan so from mid Jan until March I am limited with what I can do.

We could set up a blog that we could all have author access to that these challenges can be put onto and set, and for chatting. If you like it can even be made so only we have access for viewing.
Of course this doesn't stop you from posting your work elsewhere such as here or your own blog. What do you think?

I am happy to set this up sometime if you all agree. Its all the start of a new adventure with new friends eh?

I am happy with a snail mail list too, it would be exciting to recieve handmade cards thru the post!

I am game for any kind of challenges, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly whatever. Partcipation would be for any one who wants to or can or whatever, never mandatory.

I thought the snail mail list would be nice for exchanging cards and such.

Sounds like fun to me.

Just don't put me in charge, I can not take the lead well. I like to play tho!!!

I don't mind putting together a snail mail list. Once I have everyone's addresses who are interested I'll email it out.

As for challenges, I've never hosted one, only participated. But I'd be up for trying it out, after Christmas though.
