- We are not a new group, just beginning a new thread with a new name. - No need to call the Moving Van though - just check in here and give us a "hi" so we'll know everyone is here and you get the updates from SCS when someone comments in the group. Be sure and try to check each blog at least once a week and leave some love and, of course, receive alot of inspiration!
The following is a list of our members at this time:
Thanks - and let's all have some fun! Shelly

Hi Shelly and all I'm here - thanks for the link in the other thread. Still busy, but today has been blessedly quiet, just pottering at home and relatively cool! ... one lot of neighbours are home, and only one, possibly two more visits to the other neighbours to water there - that's the easy side as they have an irrigation system, so all I do is turn on the system and wait Waving to you all from Down Under

Now talk about being LOST! EEP!!!!!!! I just left a long post on Stamp Addicts - so here's a copy............ I'm embarrassed to even be here - but here I am. Thank you Shelly
for the reminder. I'm still here and am just fine. I guess one of the
reasons I haven't written anything on here is because I really don't
have much to say - ever!
I've been here for exactly a
year (next week) with my daughter. It's all been just great and I'm
really enjoying being around at least two of the four grandkids. I
seldom got to see any of them before so this has been so nice. They
keep me hopping for sure. Lily, is in her first year of college here at
Texas Tech and Sadie is in the 7th grade. David (son) and his crew live
in Dallas so still almost 6 hours away from them. About
the only thing exciting I guess is that Kimberly and I took a
mother/daughter trip at Christmas while her ex husband had the kids. We
went to the Grand Canyon (which is awesome). After that we were going
to head to Vegas but due to so much snow we ended up going south and in
Phoenix. Good trip and a lot of fun for both of us.
I'm
on three design teams now and that's eating my lunch! Not sure why I'm
on any of them but I am. I enjoy them but it really is time
consuming. I run the youngest granddaughter some, keep Kimberly's dog
and Rambo (of course), do a little cooking/cleaning - and really just
stay busy..........or as busy as I want to be anyway.
So,
all is good. Hope everyone else is doing good. I try to keep up with
your cards and WILL be better about being here - promise. Love you guys! I'm going to get my act together - I'm going to get my act together!!!!!

Hello
Waving hello! So glad to see check ins! I slept in today, more than usual. Glad I got my class work for today done early..... I did it yesterday. 7 more classes- off next week again for a holiday, class the last Monday and off again the following week. The kids are chatty- do not really care. Only a couple even go to church..... We are doing sorting and Amvets is coming tomorrow. I have to watch hubby- he throws out everything! We also got our closet done- just added 2 more hanging clothes rods and moved two up so it really adds alot more hanging space in the closet- and not $1000!!! I had better get busy and organized now. I have to pick up food for our church - we sponsor one night a month for homeless to sleep at a church, and are assigned what to bring for dinner. Garlic bread and pears for us tonight : ) Shelly

Hello Chatty Stampers!
Last night's Missions Rally was a big success. Exhausting, but in a good way. I told my DH not to expect a lot out of me today. LOL!
What's everyone else up to today?

Chalk it up to my Seniorness, what class are you taking Shelly?
I'm in week 6. It's been difficult. My Genealogy as a Business has a lot of homework. This week I have to come up with a Logo and also desig business cards. I also have to write an "elevator pitch" for my business. Luckily, my other class is going well.

So, spending time in your craft room today?
I have errands to run this morning. Post Office and a trip downtown to the Med Center to get samples of a lotion for an itchy spot on my right foot.
I need a grocery run, but I may order those online later. It's cold and rainy out and I hate to run errands in this weather.

Maggie, I'm with you. Unless absolutely necessary, I don't do errands on rainy days. I do hope to spend some time in my Play Room today, but first I must work a bit.

Hi everyone! Looks like we are all in the overdrive status! The Kid has his Shakespeare play this week and it's been rehearsal after rehearsal on top of everything else - my car has some miles! LYNN _ wow, so good to hear all your doings! It sounds like you are a good fit for your daughter and really balancing each other out. 3 Design Teams - impressive! I'm sure the Grand Canyon was a site to behold ♥ I'm behind so I'll wave to all!

Hello Inky Ladies--Happy Tuesday Afternoon. The vacation is going great and the weather sure is nice--in the 70's today! This morning we took Claudia's sister Margaret to the airport as she is heading home. We then went to one of the beaches at Hilton Head Island for a bit and are back home now. Yesterday we went on a 4.5 mile hike at Skidaway Island, a Georgia State Park and then had supper at The Olde Pink House, one of the oldest and most famous restaurants in Savannah. On Sunday we went on a couple of museum tours as it was Super Sunday in Georgia where the majority of the museums were free. We have no plans for the next few days, so more exploring to be done!

I have an appointment with the Geek Squad this morning at 11. When I tried to access my external hard drive yesterday, I could not get it to connect with my computer. I just used it the other day so I have no clue what happened. I just hope they are able to salvage what is on it. I'm concerned about photos. I think that I have most of them backed up on to flash drives, but I don't want to count on that.

I found you my dear friends!! Lynn, so wonderful to hear an update from you! I'll update my blog to list all of your blogs tonight or tomorrow. Those of you who caught my brief post on FB about my Dad, thank you for your prayers. He was discharged from the hospital on Monday. I just called Mom & she said they're doing well, and he's getting stronger. I'll be over there tomorrow morning to check in.

Good morning. Yes, Jeanette, everything is working fine now. Just need to keep an eye on my external hard drive for any more wonkiness. I may purchase a second smaller hard drive and back up the first one. I'm most concerned about photos.
Congrats Shelly on your win. Great!

Hi Maggie... I'm glad they were able to fix the situation and you didn't lose photos. A few years ago I asked friend (a mother of preschoolers who takes lots of pictures on her phone) how she saved the photos to ensure there safety. She directed me to Shutterfly... so my "important" digital pictures are saved there. I hope the advice she gave me was good - but I keep thinking if I lose mine, it's nothing compared to the loss she would experience if all her pictures of those precious four youngins of hers went missing.

I do the same thing Jeanette, only I use Snapfish. I also save my photos to flash drives so they are saved in a bunch of different places. I really want to organize them so I'm thinking that a smaller external hard drive I can use for just photos and get them labeled and organized. I already have them in folders.

I have mine organized in a variety of albums in Shutterfly. It makes it much easier to find what I'm looking for.

Went to the nursery this morning and got some milkweed. I still have quite a few that are getting bigger and need more food. I had some eggs last week so I expect I'll be getting a few more cattys. It's still way early for them to be coming back North. These are ones that wintered over here and didn't make the trip.

Just checking in again. All is good. Going to warm up to maybe 45 today so I'm looking forward to that. I've never experienced cold weather like this and found that no, I don't like it. Need to go back south! Spring will be here soon I'm sure...and then the wonderful summer heat!

Maggie, I'm in Texas but in Lubbock - and not sure that qualifies as being in the south! I feel like I'm in Canada! Snow, ice, freezes every night - this is NOT fun! Ready for that 100 plus weather! Yikes!

Come to Houston! It gets cold, but no snow, no ice, no freeze so far this winter. I can promise 100+ weather in the summer.
