I have just redeemed my voucher from Taylored Expressions. 2 Embossing Folders, 1 frame die and 1 stamp set. All together exactly $ 50. And the postage to my brother to TX costs only $ 4.95. That is cheap, isnt it ?
To the other winners: Have you already chosen something or redeemed your voucher ?
I have redeemed my voucher from Marker Pop. White gel pen and six MFT dies. But I had a lot of trouble redeeming my voucher. I could not get the website to take my voucher number. It kept telling me it was invalid. So I finally just called Marker Pop, and they took my order over the phone.
Sounds like youve got nice stuff, Patti. Good that they could fix the problems on the phone.

Woke up to -1 degrees this morning. Cold. Staying in again today. Should finish up all my craft projects. Don't mind staying home. Today I am making 3 misti covers and 3 scan n cut covers. Sewing day today.
I wanted to ask for a long time: Have you already made a felt scissors holder from PTI ? I think youve bought the die, or ?
I have considered whether I also order it, but I decided against it for the time being.......

My friend bought the die from PTI and I made one. And while I like the holder that I made, I can't say that I would make another. I probably won't buy the die for myself but I know that you are more of a PTI person than I am.
I suppose if you gave a lot of gifts or sold crafts at a show, it might come in handy tho
Sorry that you are sick Heather. Is it what the kids had or just a cold? Our family is passing around a cold. So far, TJ is the only one to avoid the crud. I'm hoping he doesn't get it on Christmas.
Joanna- That was my thought too. I would make one for myself and then ?
Heather- I hope you get well soon. I also caught a cold. I have directly taken vitamin C and it has not become so bad. I take it at the first signs and often it still helps.
My illness appears to be different. The kids started out with 11pm vomit and then seemed perfectly fine until three days later when diarrhea appeared. Maybe some loss of appetite.
Mine started out as a cough on Friday. I felt fine on Saturday and then refused to get up Sunday until 1pm, even when offered bacon and eggs. Alternated between fever and chills for most of the day. Seemed to subside around noon today, but I have a runny nose. Seems like a more "traditional" cold.
But, I am HOPING it's the same thing because I really don't want to pass this to the kids six days before Christmas. I guess we'll see what happens.
I am better! The kids are better...not over, but better. We were going to hold Claire home from school today and her teacher encouraged us to bring her JUST for the concert and party part. Very glad to see that! Love her enthusiasm.
Of course, could her dad dress her in something nice and comb her hair? No! ;) Whatever, he does a good job at the important stuff, like keeping them alive and fed.
Apparently we aren't the only family with illness. One poor little boy vomited in the trash just before it started. And, most of the pint size people at the table were sniffling. Sigh....
As a former elementary teacher, I have to say that we would always have colds (or worse) sweep through the class right around the holidays! (ugh) At least YOUR family is recovering!
I giggled at your comment about Ryan's ability to dress her. I think it's a man thing. I remember when we had toddlers, I would come home on Saturday to find them in red stripes, orange plaid and army green. Um, I don't think that this combination is good!
Heather- So great to hear that you and the kids are on the mend. Its no fun to be sick on christmas - especially with kids.
We are a very small round this Christmas. My parents, Stephan and I. We will have a cozy evening with fondue, fried vegetables, baguette.
My brother with family is in the US and my grandparents spend their Christmas in the hospital. My grandpa (90) lives in a nursing home and had a sugar sock. So he came to the hospital. Sugar again OK, now he has an intestinal infection and lies isolated. My grandmother (87) had a slight stroke. They are only two rooms apart, but my grandma does not visit him at the moment. She does not want to get infected. Luckily, both of them are doing well in the circumstances. Merry Christmas ;-)
Merry Christmas to everyone. We had our Christmas last night with my family. My parents have it in their basement and about 40 people came. Nieces and nephews and great nephews. So much fun.

Wow, it sounds like you guys had a great time, Tracie. Our holiday was relatively small (there were only 5 of us) but it was nice.
I came home from exercise class to find Ken re-caulking the shower. It was nice to see him doing it. It's needed some "love" for awhile now but it's such a lengthy process to peel off the old stuff, clean everything and then putting down the new. We need to do something about the grout too. It's always something isn't it?
Happy New Year girls! We have no big plans for the evening. Pizza and movies and then watching the fireworks set off from the top of Pikes Peak. It's 28 degrees down here so it's hot dog cold up there (I think they estimated that it's 30 degrees colder). I'm glad I'm just watching ... not hiking up there to set off the fireworks.
Nothing special, Joanna. My parents, aunt and uncle, friend were visiting for coffee and cakes. Usually, my brother is there with his wife and children, but they are in TX. Even my grandma was not there this year, she is in rehab. So it was a small round. Now our small living room was big enough **lol**.
Against 6 pm everyone went, I cleaned up and then we made ourselves comfortable. At midnight we went outside and saw the fireworks. Here in Germany, most of the privately owned fireworks are made. This is always very nice to watch.
I used my 25% off coupon at Simon Says Stamp to buy a few dies and I got a few sentiments from Riley & Co. using their 25% off coupon. I've already gotten my SSS stuff ... just waiting for the Riley order to arrive. I LOVE getting new toys!
Okay, trying to get back in the swing of things. Looking forward to a new year and trying to get organized. Go me!
We went to Calgary (3 hours south) for New Year's. Wanted to see Ryan's brother and sister-in-law. We had so much fun. The kids always like to see them and their pug/boston terrier, Chevy. Chevy got totally spoiled with treats, because both kids have to give him one, plus Claire wants to play his favorite "find the treat" games.....that dog totally misses us when we leave.
They also planned a little munchie night for New Year's with friends of theirs who have two girls Claire's age (plus a 6m old baby boy). The four kids had SO much fun playing and then we managed to get them all into beds to sleep around and continued the "adult" fun. We played Headz Up. Haven't had that much fun in awhile and the kids ALL stayed asleep. We were going to come home yesterday, but it was snowing quite a bit and Ryan was...um, recovering from the rum. I thought it best we wait for two alert drivers. We basically sat around and RELAXED all day, ordered dinner in, nobody went anywhere or did anything....LOVELY. Then, today was nice and clear, roads were good. Fantastic trip. Unfortunately, I go back to work tomorrow, which is sad. Wish I could play with my favorite peeps a bit longer.
I also did not catch any sales this time. Took a look at Marker Pop, but nothing on sale really caught my eye and the shipping price to Canada is BAD! Now I'm trying to decide a new strategy. And, strategically decide what I want to buy. I think I might place a SSS order soon as well. I want to try their new ink, plus a few other things. Has anyone used the peerless watercolors before?
My kitty passed away over the holidays. It was kinda a bummer but not unexpected. She was 18. Still, it wasn't the holidays without a cat overturning the tree or batting ornaments off the tree. Those little critters sure worm their way into your hearts, don't they?
Heather, if I recall, you asked about Peerless watercolors. I have a set called bonus pack; I've used them once or twice and like them, as I recall! Just don't thnk about using them!
Probably, Imke. TJ wanted one the next day but I need a bit more time.
The weatherman just predicted the weather tonight: 3 below with wind chills to 15 below. I know who will be letting out the dog tonight (big hint: not me!)
Hey everyone! Cold weekend here too, and fairly uneventful. The kids started back at gymnastics yesterday. Claire is a bit sad her best friend didn't join this time, but that's okay. She'll live! Last session, everyone in Nathan's class was about his age. This time, I think they're all younger, including one little girl who JUST turned 18 months (the minimum age). It will be interesting. Nathan always has fun, he just has to remember to wait for the smaller kids.
Then, today I took the kids to a play place to visit my friend and one of her boys. The three had alot of fun!
School starts back up tomorrow for Claire and Nathan has vowed to stay home with Ryan and play games....we shall see! Next on the list, getting the kids (and parents) skates so that they can learn!
