Hello
Day time check in : )
Oh Susan, how delightful to watch the kids in the snow! Funny that it is 30 here and I am hot in my winter coat!!! I am trying to be good and stay off amazon....trying also to order from brick and mortor stores.... but then, have to order for free shipping, right??? LOL
Lynn- yeah for being able to drink the water without boiling it! And, to take Dad for his radiation- has to be so hard! Do they let you in the hospital with him, or do you have to sit and wait in the car???
I hope you did not break the bank on Amazon : ) It is so quick and easy to look items up and put them in the cart for delivery! We have a neighbor that gets Amazon deliveries- every.single.day!!! It cracks us up! Anyway, like to stop there and check prices as well.
Jeanette- I do not know how you find out about the classes, I did see some class samples on IG and they looked great. Fun to see you doing more techniques on your cards : ) I like the DI cubes- great to travel with, many ways to use them too.
Kelly- hope you are having a great day and soaking up some sun for us too!
We had a nice day yesterday, we were going to go out for a little walk through a forest preserve, but it was rain/snowing and we decided to stay in. We went to mass, then to Target with a return- took the Instant pot back- and then to the grocery store together. The store had a great sale on fish, so bought salmon, Cod and Sea Bass. It's that time of year : ) We are tryng to eat less beef, so its good anyway : )

Hey friends!
Our weather is completely whacko! Friday we had Alice in the pool and Saturday we had on sweaters! I sure hope Texas is coming out to thaw - one of my bff's daughter got married Saturday and they couldn't have had the worst week leading up to - but they are married and the bride was beautiful!
I did take the distress inks class - all of mine are on Instagram. It was interesting and fun - lots of information for beginners and I highly recommend her classes. I didn't see Jeanette at all but did see our friend Barb ... but the class was huge so who knows!
Got my results from the dr today - still not in my patient portal and I got into my car, drove over and walked in and said Ima need all the paperwork, por favor! They printed it all and I zipped across town and dropped it off to a specialist we know. He'll call my love tonight and give him the scoop - my greatest fear is having to repeat it all in the future. I don't want to go do this again!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Shelly!!!!!!!!!! I hope today is a wonderful day!

Shelly (and everyone) - the information on Jen's classes (the one on distress oxides I took on Saturday) is on her blog and also there is a mailing list. I've taken 3 so far and they are enjoyable. Her classes go quickly and I'm usualy left behind but the blessing is they are always on her facebook group - you can go back and watch the videos at your pace and at any time!

Hello Paper-Loving Inky Friends!
Lynn, it's easy to shop at Amazon... I've been known to have packages show up on my doorstep, too.
Shelly, I am a Jenn Shurkus fan and subscribed to her newsletter so that's how I found out. It was a great class - my first one ever - and I was actually able to keep up. I was afraid I wouldn't. I'm also signed up for another of her events so I'm excited about that.
Kelly, I hope you never have to go through that again! Praying!!! How funny - I didn't see anyone but Jenn in the class. I guess with FB Live I didn't think about being able to see anyone else. Hmmmmm.... maybe that's why I was able to keep up.
Susan... oh Susan! Where are you? Come out and play!

I'm here I'm here.....your conversations were going so well without me I thought you didn't need me any more. Ive been busy looking out the window waiting for my trucks!!!! Shutterfly arrived yesterday and brought me the cutest 6x6 book of Bryce in all his "Gaming positions" The kid cracks me up and I just had to put it all in a little (and may I add FREE shutterfly book). Including my favorite one of him ummmmm...maybe I shouldn't say here in public. lol Any way still waiting by window today but I'm also making some White Chicken Chili and Italian bread for Ds and family for a porch drop dinner tonight. Both are new recipes so they will be guinea pigs.
We are having Tropical weather here. upper 30's and lower 40's.!!! Shelly are you going to the Forest soon for a walk?? Good time for it. Sounds like you enjoy your zoom classes. I have never tried that. First I pretty mush fail alot of my zoom tries. Lucky the only ones I do is a once a month with my lady friends and they are very forgiving as I phone them everytime for step by step instructions that usually takes 20 minutes before I actually get joined in then they sit there applauding and tell me I really should consider logging in 30 min in advance with the main person so we can all start on time. Geeze........lol.
Kelly you crack me up....you can zoom....you can you tube.....you can blog but you can't portal??? lol I can just imagine you stompin in that office demanding those records. heeheehee
Lynn I heard some people in Texas actually have electric bills of like $9,000.!!!! Seriously???? That's CRAZY!!!! OMG How can you afford stamps or dies if you have to pay that??? I choke when ours goes above $120 a month. I at first thought it was like a computer error. That happens sometimes and makes the news but dh said nope thats like what it is you guys can go up and down to extremes.
Ok now that I've written random nonsense I can't remember what you are up to Jeanette. So whatcha doing? Probably something fantastic and super fun.
Well I have to go look out the window......don't want to miss anything...lol

Giggling... yep, I'm doing something fantastic and super fun, Susan (not!).... washing bedding and teaching my DH (via text) how to use the crockpot that has Italian Beef in it at the office. Lunch is at 11:00 and the lady who brought it in this morning before work, set it to warm (while cold from the fridge) so it's not heating the meat yet.
It's almost time for Brock's Zoom... wanna help?

Yikes!! I didn’t stomp! Not me! I smiled and I was polite and I went up all 4 floors of the hospital and sashayed into the office. The portal is actually very easy to figure out as well as the patient records in the hospital but unfortunately the hangup is that same doctor that didmt call me has not entered my results! I had no choice but to go over and physically get them myself which still baffles me.
Everything went smooth as butter except when it was time to get the results and I had to go to the hospital administrator - a little trick I learned from being in the military!
going to lunch with my daughter who has some big life changes going on we’re we’re stopping at the bookstore, our favorite coffee shop and we’re going out to lunch!
Not necessarily in that order LOL

Hahahahaha...Jeanette too funny...me help on a zoom????? Sure if you want Brock to participate tomorrow or thursday. heeheehee Yeah crock pot will not heat in time on warm. What was she thinking??? Even on low it would have been iffy but a better chance. geeze................... Have fun sleddin' through the beddin'...wanna come do mine???
Oooooppppssss...there goes a truck....dang! Not for me. Maybe the next one. I'm waiting for some paper so I can get started. I know I know like I need more paper. But I have no St Pattys day stuff . Why is it I never have what I need??? Maybe I'll blame it one the quarentine. I'm more in tune to each and every holiday that I don't normally make cards for and of course I don't have papers for them. Like who the heck has papers for March 11 Johnny Apple seed day or March 16th National Artichoke Day? Not me But Lynn has a stamp for artichokes! Or how about March 24 National Cocktail day? See I NEED this stuff! lol
Kelly your day sounds like so much more fun than me sitting in front of a window waiting for a brown UPS truck or a blackish Prime mini van (sigh)

Hello
Hi!
I have been chasing a truck too, not brown though. I bought something on FB end of Jan, est date of arrival 2/1 LOL NOPE.... I finally wrote to the lady and she sent me the tracking....it has left the distribution center..... and I finally went to the PO...not there. It was delivered yesterday.... 2/21 which is 20 days after original date. The package looked like it had been opened....but everything was inside... Geepers!
Tomorrow is day 4 of Physical therapy- gets a touch better each time, with an occasional step backwards....
Susan- hope your truck came to your house..... and did not require you getting out there and chasing it down the street.....LOL
Kelly- glad you got a nice lunch with your daughter! Lucky you! I just talk to mine on the phone......
Lynn- yep, I saw the artichokes as well. What a great card idea! Hoping dad is tolerating the radiation OK.
Jeanette- your class sounds like it was great! Looking forward to seeing some fun new DI backgrounds from you soon : )
We had temps in the mid 40's today- was able to get out and take a walk with hubby- not at the Forest Preserve, just went around the block..... Just about a mile- glad he was able to get out and take a break from work. I am stuffy and sneezing a bit.... but not terrible...
Bible study meets twice this week- went for almost 2 hours tonight.(supposed to be one hour) ..our geoup has a couple of ladies who get pretty political..... interesting though! Glad to be able to meet online, since in person not happening!
Midweek Hugs to all!
Shelly

Hello Paper-Loving Inky Friends!
Shelly, I'm so glad your package finally arrived - that was a long wait! Aren't you thankful for those Daughter Phone Calls? I know I am! The eleven month long wait each year to actually see our DD would be almost unbearable if it weren't for phones.
Waving to everyone else!

ARRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKGGGGGGGGGGG.........I don't know how to yell in type mode!!!! NO TRUCK YESTERDAY!!! So I thought I'd try switching my idea but even that is failing. I vented on fb...ooops (snicker snicker) I usually leave that stuff for you guys heeheehee. See you all got lucky and missed my vent! Whewwwwww
Anyway I'll figure something out. Made White chicken chili for ds and his fam and they all liked it as well as the fresh soft italian bread I threw into my bread machine. I don't use the machine often but I needed to sit by the window so I opted for the machine to do all my work and it did a pretty good job for being a 25 yr old machine. Actually I was surprised it still worked lol, Oh annnnd....I actually Stamped last night! I know!!! Amazing!!! AND!!!! I DIE Cut!!!! OMG!!! I was a Wee bit motivated. Lets see if that continues. It would help if that darn truck would arrive!
Shelly glad you were able to get out for a walk. It is so nice out today too! So sunny and warm! Already in the 40's Yipee!
Jeanette did you get those linens done? I see you didn't send that drone to get mine yet. lol
How was lunch Kel?
Ah Lynn you must be exhausted with all the trips back and forth with your dads treatments. Hope everything is going well. Make sure you remember to eat and rest even if it is in your recliner. Your in my thoughts.
Hugs to all you guys. Hope it's sunny where you are!

Hi friends!
Yep, lunch was great but the company was even better! She started a new job today so we were whoopin' it up on her last day
We have the famous Florida rains daily now - typical of the Florida summers - and yes, it's still summer here
Good news - Chris thinks he did super well yesterday! He felt more confident and better prepared and now we wait! Thanks for praying!!!

Hello
Hello,
Done with piano lessons and in just a bit will be going to Physical Therapy..... he has me coming 3 days a week for now.
Susan- you are a stitch- I cannot believe that truck is making you wait : ) I hope that is not affecting your B/P!!! Fun that you got some stamping and die cutting going. Your chili sounds really good- maybe I will look up a recipe for no dairy chicken chili today...... was going to make Chicken taco's.
Yes Jeanette, I sure do love to chat and text with the girls and Chris as well. SO, DD2 bought hubby a photo frame (that he wanted) that all of us can sign up for an account and upload pictures and short 15 second video's. We check it 1-2 times daily and love seeing the kids in action or in their activities. Stephi is the child we see the least of, and she is really good at sending us pictures- she sent some yesterday of her hike and there were deer in the meadow.
I have an extra Bible Study session this week, last night went an hour over..... The conversation got political about standing up for what is moral and good....one of the ladies is a teacher and really is not happy with the materials the kids are learning, and how they are being taught (indoctrinated) about white privilege...... She thinks it used to happen in college, and says now they are teaching the kids stuff in middle school and even younger. Glad I am not raising kids in this day and age- and my parents said that about our generation. I reminded them all that God made us all for the time and situation we are in...... Kids and adults too
I am going to sign off and go pick up the mess in my creative space : )

Kelly, that is awesome news about Chris... I'm praying that his good feelings will indeed bring great result scores! YAY on time with DD as she embarks on a new job!
Shelly, that's an awesome gift for your DH especially since your children are living in various places. I'm sure you all enjoy the photos/videos! It is definitely scary the things some of our young people are being taught and experiencing these days.

Thank you, Jeanette! Chris was my SIL's study partner for 9 months (we joke they could have had a baby, haha) and it makes NO sense how he did not pass the bar ..... but this time is it, it has to be!
He works for the state attorney's office already and luckily has a job but ya need the bar!
Me, too ..... only mine isn't in law ........ ba da bump! I'll be back with my next set at 9 pm, ladies and gents! Another round!
And I agree! And I HAVE a kid (and grand kid) growing up in these times. It's not okay to ever make someone feel ashamed of their beliefs, but sadly, I'm seeing a lot of it. The pendulum wasn't swinging right but now has gone so far off track, I dread the future at times. I just keep teaching mine right from wrong and stand up for your own beliefs and other people and do the right thing.

Shelly such an awesome gift for dh. My dh wanted one too so I bought him one 2 yrs ago and its still in the box. He claimes he still wants it and will get to it but make me mad that I bought it and he hasn't even looked at it. Oh well.
YES Brown truck came!!!! Papers arrived!! Yay! Down side...print is larger than I imagined it would be. Now I have to re think again ughhhhh. I swear I will figure this out if it kills me! I did get a basic card done for a sweet lady who just randomly sent me a Happy Mail card last week. Thought I'd send her a quick thank you. For a quick paper piece I kinda like it. Used scraps too so that was a plus and I was able to use my new Shamrock punchs I just had to have that were smaller than I thought. Downside of internet shopping. Paper print too big punches too tiny lol.
Kelly keep us posted on Chris. AND you better not be drinking that coffee in your meme!!!!!

Haha Susan - alas, it is NOT! Back in the day maybe during my Starbucks runs but these days, it's tea if I'm in the mood and decaf when I'm not and even then limited!
My daughter thought it would be a GREAT IDEA *insert terrified look here* to order this mock coffee that turned out to be MUDJAVA which was basically hydrated MUSHROOMS (bleh!) that is supposed to taste like coffee when brewed LOL! It was a wonderful idea and a great substitute to caffeinated coffee but yeah. no! Maybe back in the 70's the SHROOMS would have been cool, ROFL!
YAY for the big brown truck but aw ,I'm sorry about your shamrock punch and paper. I'm curious as to the final product though and how you make it all work!
TOODLES!

Hello Paper-Loving Inky Friends!
Susan, I'm sorry the Brown Truck Delivery didn't -----ummmmm ---- measure up/down the way you'd hoped. I feel pretty certain your creativity will allow you to adapt and make something amazing!
Kelly, I wonder who thought mushrooms could make a coffee-flavored drink. Sounds a bit crazy to me. Now we know. Thanks for reviewing it for all of us so we won't have to give it a try ourselves.
Waving to Shelly and Lynn!
Have a FABULOUS day, friends... mine will be spent finishing the newsletter (if I can get the "boss" to send me his articles) and get it ready to send out tomorrow. February sure is coming to an end quickly.

Mushroom Coffee???? Kelly I think NOT!!!! All I would think would be DIRT! I mean seriously....mushrooms smell like dirt how could they possibly taste like a decent coffee??? Or a tea for that matter? Or anything you would put in your mouth???? Can you tell I dislike mushrooms??????? They remind me of getting the soil ready for planting in the spring not something you would actually eat unless your a wee little one who thinks its ok to eat "Mud pies" and I'm a grown up now so I want Lemon meringue or French Silk pie not Mud Pie and I either want real coffee or tea and not "Dirt Coffee or Tea" (AKA Mushroom) Gosh darn new generation kids ought to leave well enough alone. Next thing you know they're going to use rabbit poop for Cocoa Puffs! And I say enoughs enoughs!
Glad I got that off my chest....lol
February does go by quickly doesn't it Jeanette? I think I blinked and now it's gone. Hope you get that newsletter out.
To take my mind off my paper/stuff dilemma I shifted gears. Wait til I show you the crazy craft project/gift thingy I'm doing for ds and fam as a porch drop. Just a crazy idea from a statement one of the little ones made. I'm working one it right now and it was one of the truck deliveries yesterday. You guys are going to think I've lost my mind. Sure hope I'll be able to post a pic or I'll have to rely on Jeanette for some help via messenger. lol
Have a good day ladies

So, tell us how you really feel about mushrooms???
Me? I like them - well fresh ones. I'm not a fan of the canned kind. BUT I wouldn't want them in my coffee or tea.

Yep, Susan - she tried but no no NOPE! No mushrooms for me - not on my coffee, IN my coffee, AS my coffee, not on my pizza - just ................ no.
But I'm actually, doing great - I don't miss it at all anymore and it's like not part of my routine - my waistline and wallet thank me!
Can't wait to see your porch projects - be sure to post!

Hello Paper-Loving Inky Friends!

How can anyone NOT love you Jeanette??? Glad you got those newsletters out. Boy your a determined person to get them out in the wee hours of the morning.. How you do it is beyond me. I need my "beauty" sleep.
Did another porch drop dinner for ds and fam yesterday. We defrosted our freezer....yes I know they make frost free ones now but dh says as long as this one still freezes we don't need a new one! So I say FINE!!! Then YOU DEFROST IT!!!! So he does...ughhhh...stubborn. Anyway found some pork tenderloin that wasn't freezer burnt so I made them breaded pork tenderloin patties and roasted potatoes with green beans. Tori was so funny as I was putting the trays on the porch she opened the door and said "Ama your bringing us food?" I said "Yup" and she say..."Thank God...ya know mom doesn't cook right?" LOL Out of the mouths of babs.
Project is coming along except I have to hand make everything since I won't go to the craft store and some of my ideas for supplies will take Amazon too long to get here. But I will give you a teaser........it has wash cloths and toilet paper...........hmmmmmmmmm
Kelly I've been drinking alot of decaf coffee's to satisfy my cravings when I have them and it works just fine and since I usually drink mine black I never had the problem of waist increase from the coffee. It was always that scone that went with it lol. I'm a teetotaler too so I really enjoy a good cup of tea. Butttttt...that scone still sits on the waist. lol

Susan.... you are such a ray of sunshine this morning. Summer!!! YAY! Oh my goodness... did you see the article about the lady that snow skiing down the slopes in the NUDE? Ay yi yi! I hope she doesn't crash. Can you imagine landing in a pile of snow like that?
Now... what's this about a washcloth and TP??? You have me very curious.
Gotta love Tori. Honest and hilarious, too.

Good morning, ladies! Boy have I got some catching up to do. Crazy week here!
Shelly, that photo frame sounds awesome!! What a great way to keep up with each other during these pandemic days!! I know you all will have lots of fun with that! I know what you mean about keeping politics out of schools! Used to be schools focused on teaching kids to read and write and calculate and think for themselves. More scary times ahead, I am afraid.
Susan, glad your Amazon shipment arrived. One of mine got lost in transmission, it seems! The only one should arrive on Sunday. Can't wait to see what you craft with your new goodies!! Toilet paper and and wash cloths?? I can't even begin to image. I am a fan of fresh mushrooms sauteed in butter with my steaks or raw in my salads. But like Jeanette, just NO, for those in cans or jars!
Kelly, sounds like Chris has aced the test this time. I love to hear how confident he was after taking it!! Good you on the coffee! Great that the scouts are up and running again! How is school going these days?
Jeanette, I need to get working on a newsletter myself, but can't seem to get my thoughts and words together in a way that work for what needs to be accomplished. Maybe next week!! I'm sure your Dh's rewritten article was greatly improved under your editorial control. Great job on meeting that deadline.
My week has been a blur of activity. Mostly good but hectic at times. Got Daddy to his first radiation treatment on Monday. I was not allowed in the hospital so dropped him at the door and parked. Due to the electrical issues experienced last week, they were having trouble calibrating and getting their machinery up and running. Daddy had forgotten his phone so he came back out to inform me that it would probably be 2 hours instead of 15 minutes as expected. I had a couple of quick errands to run and I had my book to read, so I was fine. He has found a fun way to get through his treatments. Each day he is wearing a different hat! I didn't know he owned 20 hats! LOL! Starting on Tuesday, he insisted on taking himself so I am out of the picture on that front.
I chopped fruit at the kitchen all Monday afternoon and Liz arrived for her visit for Mother's birthday.
Tuesday meant another flurry of fast and furious activity at the computer to get Mother a vaccine this week. Three people were trying and all three of us succeeded. The pastor got one spot, the church secretary got one spot, and I got two spots. Fortunately I was on the phone with the church and knew they had two spots so I signed up for a friend and her husband who had not been successful in the past. Also fortunately, the health department makes it easy to transfer shots to others who are qualify. I took Mother and another church member on Wednesday and they got injection #1 with her two slots. Just when we are getting the hang of this registration process, I received a text from the health department that the procedure is changing this week. They are going to open a waiting list this morning and appointments will be randomly given out from that list. No more first come, first served. I think that is probably a good thing. Since they are still on 65 and older, many in that group don't have lightening speed computer skills to work the previous system. I am going to call the church later this morning to see if they have others on their list that we can get registered. Tuesday in my 2nd injection and I can't wait!! I'll still be double masking and not eating out in public places, but will feel safer, for sure!
Wednesday and Thursday where shopping days! That always wears me out!! I used to be a fabulous shopper but age and weight have taken their toll. Most of the grocery essentials were back on the shelves but in limited supply. Also HAD to slip into Dillard's for their 40% off of 65% off items. I always refresh my wardrobe and purchase Christmas stocking stuffer itesms when that sale comes around and then, of course, the 75% off items at Hobby Lobby. I was exhausted at the end of those days, but a very happy shopper!
The one last thing I am watching for at HL is the 75% mark down on dies. It hasn't happened yet, but it will. That means a trip there daily until it does!
So today will be laundry (the tallest mountain yet) and one trip to Hobby Lobby. Will also be crafting some cards and waiting for the Dirty Dozen Gallery to open!
Tomorrow I have an all day church meeting with the session as we try to make plans for a success year in the middle of this crazy time in which we find ourselves! We will be wearing masks and social distancing!

Wow Hello Lynn. So good to hear from you. You have been very busy I see. Glad you got mom her shot and that you were relieved of car duty from dad. I take it the treatment doesn't effect him too bad that he is still able to drive afterwards. Boy HL daily? I haven't been there in over a year now. I'm sure I'm missing out on alot of great deals but that's ok. Hope you find the deals your looking for. You'll have to let us all know what you find. Hope you find some recliner time to squeeze into your schedule lol.

Happy Friday - we made it! The Kid is going camping this weekend and Alice is about to leave to the other house so it will be QUIET 'round here!
Lynn, so good to see you - even if it's with your hair on fire! You've been moving and shaking and I am so excited to hear that your shots have been given to all that were hopeful. I know it was important to you all - so WHOOP! I wish dad all the best with his radiation and thin it's so cute he came back out to tell you it would be a little longer!
And - whatchat reading?!
Susan - LOL on the waist - mine is grateful .. I'm down 15 pounds so far and my wallet is also thinner because I"m not saving my "Starbucks stash" - too many bills came due at once!
Waving to Shelly and Jeanette!

Hmmmm....I had to go back and re-read Lynns post to see where I missed that her hair was on fire. Must be an inside joke or I'm just not cool enough to understand. Probably the lader ( is that the correct spelling? probably not) Oh well I'll blame age lol!
