Default I am officially a demo now

I just got my Demo number and am waiting on my kit. I can't wait. That special was the best. It was exciting reading all of your postings. Jus Colorado where are you exactly... I am in Colorado too. I am looking for ideas to have a big order for my first order. What are some ideas for a first workshop or party that you would recommend?

I signed up this week, called SU today to get my Demo #, the gal on the phone have it to me, but when I do a Demo login, it asks for the Demo # and password. My question is how do I set up a password to get onto the Demo site?

Exclamation New Demo Contact List Finally Ready!!!

Hi gals,

Okay. After gathering names for over a month, I finally have a list of the new demos who signed up during this most recent promotion and were interested in communicating with each other for support, advice, etc. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the attachments (including things like.... "I can't open the attachment" or "hey...there's a typo in my name" or "can I add my name too?" or "can you take me off this list?"), please PM me and I will take care of it. I did the list in two different formats, one in Word and one in Excel. If you need something other than this, let me know and we will find another way to get the list to you.

For future reference, the group has been named the Sizzlin' Starters after this recent promotion. When posting a PM or forum thread to other group members, please mention Sizzlin' Starters so we will be able to easily recognize each other.

Best wishes in your new business. Hope this list helps!
Justine (JusColorado)

Hey Justine,

Thanks for doing all the work to assemble the list for us, I really appreciate it. I have been busy since my kit came last week planning for my first workshops. I plan on hostessing a series of workshops so that people have an opportunity to attend without saying they are busy!!! I'll probably do three within a week and then have an incentive if anyone signs up to hostess a workshop, and try to get enough interested in doing a stamp club. I am a member of a GREAT stamp club, and I hope to entice enough people with my enthusiasm to start my own club. I currently have about 4 or 5 people interested, so I really don't need too many more! I am finding it quite helpful to read through the demo manuel, especially the products guide, since knowing everything about what we sell is so very important to being successfull. I have lots of ideas, I just hope they work out for me. Just wanted to let others know how I've been spending all my time since last Thursday night!

Talking Sizzlin'Starters!

Justine,
Thank you for taking the time to put this together for everyone! I can't wait to share and receive ideas with all the new demos. What a long list!! I received my demo kit a few weeks ago and put all my sets together so I could "play" with them. What fun it has been.
Thank you again, and good luck everyone!

Thanks so much for all your nice comments. I was happy to do it. Looking forward to getting to know you all better.

I had my first Stamp Camp last night and have another one scheduled for Saturday morning. I feel pretty good about how last night went. A few little foibles, but overall I think it went well. I imagine I'll have about $400 in sales from last night. Hopefully the gals on Saturday will be able to help me out a bit further. I have one friend who is already a fantastic customer. I plan to make my $1500 goal, but wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of my "best customer."

Good luck everyone. Keep in touch!!!

Host an open house announcing your "arrival" to the SU! family. I am having my first open house on this Sunday, and I mailed out over 50 announcments. I am going to have tables set up with three different projects people can choose to make-from beginners to seasoned stampers. I have ordered one of the Sept. embossing kit specials and made samples from that set advertising that if they booked a party in Sept. I would teach them this technique. I also have the Sweet and Sassy set displayed at a table with sample cards set up to help sell the set for the Ronald McDonald house. I ordered the sets I wanted from the winter mini-catalog and set out sample cards next to those sets also. I also offered special gifts to anyone who booked a workshop or party from my open house. I ordered a pack of each of the new colors of paper, and made packs of paper with one sheet of each color and tied them in ribbon with a hand stamped thank you tag on top of it. The key to making the sales is booking parties. If you can book five parties from your open house, you have to hope that you will book at least one party from each of those parties! Good luck to you!

I just became a demo in August. I will do it as a "hobby" for awhile and then slowly try to do workshops, etc. To KMColby -- I am also from Orange County, CA (Irvine). It is exciting!
