RSVP Deadline is November 1st - Monday
We'll have:
*Get-Acquainted time
*Shoebox Swap (see below for details)
*Polyshrink Bracelet Make'n'Take (price includes 1 bracelet. You can add $4 to your original mail in registration fee and make an additional one)
*Christmas/Holiday Card Contest (cool prize!)
*Name Tag Contest (another cool prize!)
*Snacks
*Roster of participants (optional if you want to be included on the roster)
You need to bring:
*Your name tag - with both your name and your SCS Screen ID on it. We'll have a contest for best name tag.
*A shoebox project for 6 people to do (+extra supplies for mess-ups). Plus 2 finished samples of the project - 1 to leave with the box and 1 for the display board. The display board samples will be sent to one of the Cards for The Troops programs. Everyone will rotate around and get to do 6 different shoebox projects. Projects can be cards, small gifts, or party favors. The project should be something that can be completed in 20 minutes or less. The project must use Stampin' Up supplies (with the exception of any embellishment not sold by SU). Current stamp sets preferred if possible. Please let us know if you have any questions about this. (Please note: It is totally ok to CASE a card or project out of the Idea Book & Catalog or from SCS with proper credit given!!!! Don't feel you have to come up with something totally original on your own!!! This is for fun - no stress!)
*A Christmas/Holiday Card to enter the Christmas Card Contest (optional)
*A scrubber and stampin mist (if you have it) with your name on it.
*Your catalog for reference

This location is close to 405 Freeway, 605 Freeway, 91 Freeway just depending on where you are coming from. E-mail Jami if you need help with directions. It is very close to the Long Beach Airport Marriott if any of you want to make a really special weekend of it.
There are quite a number of places you may want to visit while in the area:

C.R. Bloomin' Stamps (this is less than 5 minutes away). See www.crbloominstamps.com
Tall Mouse Craft Store See http://www.tallmouse.com/locations/ for the Cerritos location which is about 15 minutes away
Strictly Scrapbooking (in same parking lot as Tall Mouse)
Michael's (there are 2 within about 5 minutes - Lakewood and Long Beach)
Contact Jami if you need info on restaurants or other things in the area.

QC, I'll definitely take some pix! But, I think you should tell DH that you are need of a vacation and SoCal seems like the place to go. Tell him to visit the beaches and Disneyland.  Sound like a plan? I so wish you could just travel the Coast and come on down! __________________ Joy Kennedy

There's room for EVERYONE!!!! We can probably accomodate 60 no problem!! We're hoping for at least 20 or more!!!!
The reason for 6 with the shoebox swap - we figured that's about what we'd have time for along with the bracelet and the get-acquainted time if the projects take approx. 20 minutes each to complete.

Oh you guys, I am so bummed. I grew up in HB, but live in Hawaii now. I will be in SoCal until the 2nd of Nov for my sister-in-laws wedding! I can't believe I am going to miss this one!

There is also a Holiday Inn just down the street from the Marriott

Those are the 2 closest, but here in SoCal there are actually tons of hotels and motels within 20 minutes of us. We are within 20 minutes of Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland, The Aquarium. etc. etc. If you need me to do some more research, let me know. Definitely check with me about location before you book a place other than the 2 I've already listed so I can let you know how close it is. You can e-mail me (see address in original post).

I'm in Corona.
I have to try to change some things in my schedule around so I can go and I probably won't know for sure for about 2 weeks. As soon as I know I'll send my registration.

Coming to Stamp-mania
Hi all,
I posted yesterday and had to get to work...sorry. I'm Suzie193 as you can see and I live in the Temecula Valley - just south of Riverside. I'm trying to get a few of my friends together to come as well. Can't wait to meet everyone. This will be sooooo much fun. I did find the application and have sent my money and app to Joy.
