I was in the store today and saw two scrapbook embellishment sets. One was $39 but the other was only $9.81! The store website has an image of it: http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...pCatg=3880#Ovr It came in at least three color themes and includes ribbons, fibers, some small flower stamps, a scrapbook, stamp pad, brads, metal corners, and more. I'm not a regular at the store; so perhaps this is a clearance price.... Even if you don't want it for yourself, the set might be a neat present for someone considering scrapbooking.
Oooh! How pretty! I am going to ask a friend who is headed there tomorrow to keep an eye out for one. Uh, like I need it, but hey, it's worth the price for a nice gift! TFS!
I bought this last week for a Christmas gift for my SIL. I thought it was a great price - never realized it was clearance. Maybe I should have bought several more?
I went online to the Sam's Club website and followed the link one of the previous posts about this. I have 2 Sam's near me - one said they didn't have the item and one said they did.
I went to the one who said they had it but I couldn't find it. They had another $39 one (in a leather caddy with a 12x12 scrapbook instead of 8x.
So I asked a manager - he said I think we have a couple left - and he went to go look in the back - he was gone forever. Then he comes rolling back with a whole PALLET of them - jackpot!! and yes, they were $9.81 each
Three or four color choices.
Our Sam's didn't have any of these out - just the leather one with the 12x12 paper. So my DH asked the manager, since the website showed they had them. Turns out they had a whole pallet way up the top of another aisle. But I have all 3 colors now! Thanks for the heads up, OP!
Dog gone it! I just spent a $50 gift card from work at Sam's/Walmart...got a scrapbooking and a beading page a day calendar from there....but would have loved getting one or two or three of these! LOL.
Looks like a trip back to Sam's is in order!
I have seen these in person, and they are well worth the clearance price...a steal if I do say so!!!
When you click on the link above in the beginning of this thread, you can then click a little magnifying glass symbol on the left of the little picture...and it zooms you into a bigger picture and then you can see more details!
I have bought these before on clearance. I keep them in the closet and when my 11 year old daughter needs a birthday gift, we are set. Girls her age love these.
At my local Sam's they are out of the clearance one. But the did get a new scrapbooking tote filled with supplies for $34. I think there were two different colors.
About the Bic Markers, I absolutely love them. I bought the Sharpie markers first but then went back and got the Bic. I use them in place of Copic markers and like them better then my ZIG markers. When I color with them they don't leave any streaks and seem to blend nicely.
How many marker are in the BIC set and do you recall the price of them?

I was in a few days ago and saw scrap set styles, both at the $30+ price still. Off topic: I did get a beautiful domed cake plate set reduced from $28 to $9 plus some change.
If anyone is looking for a heavy duty Carl paper trimmer, the Sam's Club online section has one that is MUCH cheaper than any of the office supply stores, plus, the shipping is included in the price. I had liked the lightweight Carl sold in the store; so I decided to move up the quality a bit. The DC-210 is tabletop weight and locks the paper in place. It comes with a magnetic paper stop, but I use a triangle tool to get perfect alighnment.
Well...this isn't much help, but Sam's is a great place to buy Scotch Double Stick tape with several packs of tape to a package. They are nice lengthy rolls, and the holders themselves are the sturdy hold-in-your hand kind...
I think the price is a bit less than $10...not sure of the correct price, but a deal...
