UK STAMP MAD 01-16-2007 01:35 AM

Uk stamper very happy!

Thank you RobynStamps for your reply, I cant wait for the arrival of Stampin Up in the UK. I hope they do it this year, we've missed out for so long not being able to get them, (unless connected to US military)
I'll be able to follow the colour combos and am itching to get my hands on those oh so scrummy stamps!:-D

I think they are planning to be in UK by April sometime if I remember correctly. Don't quote me on that though.

Angela Riddell 01-16-2007 04:15 AM

Sorry that was New Zeland, thought I would correct my self.

Bagpuss 01-16-2007 07:49 AM

Don't DO that to me!!!!!!! :o

So what IS the latest please?

cobrielle 01-16-2007 07:54 AM

I wasn't at Leadership (no money to go) so all I can do is repeat what I've heard.

Personally, I'd start saving my money for the kit though!!! ;) In Canada the kit is $275. It's less in the States. Think it's more in Australia. No idea what it'll be in the UK!;)

cobrielle 01-16-2007 08:01 AM

In Australia the kit is $324. I just checked.....those AR tendencies peeking through again...LOL

I expect it will be the same as in the States but with a sign in front of it :(. So, effectively, twice as much. That's how it usually works for craft stuff. :(

cobrielle 01-16-2007 08:03 AM

In the States it's $199.

cobrielle 01-16-2007 08:04 AM

And yes, you guys do tend to get screwed royally when it comes to craft stuff pricing:(

Not a whole lot better in Canada either though, LOL ;) We usually pay double what the Americans pay for things:(

Bagpuss 01-16-2007 08:05 AM

Thanks - I'll expect to have to fork out about 200 then. Sheesh, that's a lot! Better start saving...

UK STAMP MAD 01-16-2007 08:41 AM

Guess I'll be saving too! We do seem to pay alot more for craft supplies here.
I'm lucky enough to be visiting USA in April and will be bringing a big suitcase!

Is that why you're a happy stamper? I thought you knew something the rest of us didn't! ;)

Bagpuss 01-16-2007 10:21 AM

I'm very excited now, too, as I put my "mole" on to this topic and she has found out that SU are thinking of coming to the UK in the autumn. Whoohoooooooooo! :)

danssister 01-16-2007 10:41 AM

How exciting for you ladies! :) Bagpuss, I though of you when I heard the announcement! ;)

Bagpuss 01-16-2007 10:43 AM

Thanks! I'm flattered that you thought of me!! :)

FubsyRuth 01-16-2007 03:02 PM

Another UK stamper here that will be saving for Autumn then (that's Fall to you US people LOL!)

So UK Stamp Mad - just HOW big is that suitcase of yours? Big enough to squeeze a few goodies in for some other UK SCSers?? ;) Just joking, I'm sorting out a list for a friend who is going on hols to US later this year.

Yep, we sure do get ripped off for craft goodies - no Cuttlebugs with 50% off vouchers for us

Still, I've got some things to look forward to - I took the plunge and bought a Big Kick machine today (got a whole 10% discount, woooohooooo!) so that will arrive later in the week. Plus a very nice US eBayer is sending me an SU! catty as I just bought some retired sets from her.

Happy crafting everyone!

danssister 01-16-2007 03:03 PM

Can't wait to see you on the demo side! :)

Bagpuss 01-18-2007 11:58 AM

Have I mentioned lately how EXCITED I am about this!!!!????? :)

peggysue 01-18-2007 12:04 PM

Yeah but by savings up those half crowns and shillings and whatnot, you are one step ahead of the game. Think of the downline you could have a year from now!

Bagpuss 01-18-2007 12:06 PM

I already have one downline-in-waiting! :)

I think it is totally wonderful that they have finally decided to come to the UK but like others have mentioned I wonder how much they are going to make the starter kit, it is always gutting when something that is so much cheaper in the States comes over here and it is just so expensive, but I do love Stampin Up stuff so hopefully they will take pity on us and not make it too too expensive to start up.

okell 01-21-2007 10:47 AM

Oh, my Christmas wish has come true, I really really hope they do come to the UK, I've started saving as well, just in case.
