any word on incentives for demo joiners

any word on incentives to become demos for july or august?

sweetpea111403 06-29-2006 12:11 PM

Anyone know if there will any incentives with the new catty for anyone interested in becoming a demo?

Kar 06-30-2006 03:36 AM

They NEVER tell us that stuff in advance anymore... I know of nothing but then again they don't tell us anything early!! ;)

Jodi0704 06-30-2006 04:04 AM

Agreed, they don't give us "in advance" info like they used to. My guess would be that the new catty is the hype right now, so I'd think the incentives might come a little later this year. Although, right now is a GREAT time to join since you get 30% off you first order as a demo!! What do you oher demos think?

KyleHannah 06-30-2006 04:11 AM

yesi think it is a great time to join I think this catty could sell it self this is a great catty any questions let me know i will do my best to answer them good luck in your descision :)

fl_beachbum 06-30-2006 05:10 AM

Do they usually repeat promotions for new demos? Just wondering because I signed last August and received a color group of ink pads. Seems like that would be worth waiting for if someone was wondering when to start.

Chipper 06-30-2006 06:25 AM

On the 26th of July, I went straight to the source by emailing SU. Here's what "she" said in the reply...

Dear Ellen,

Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry regarding the availability of a recruiting incentive for July. Ellen, we can understand your desire for this information; however, we regret to inform you that we have not been advised of any upcoming recruiting promotions. Up coming promotions are kept confidential until it is time for them to be announced. Please watch the Web site or contact your demonstrator for updated information. We apologize that we could not be of more help to you.

Thank you again for your e-mail. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Demonstrator Support

I need a full downline! Most of my customers are waiting for the deal like the ink pads again. Please SU have a great new demo special..

sweetpea111403 07-03-2006 11:01 AM

Anyword yet on this?

laniebug 07-07-2006 02:52 PM

I'm holding on too. I've been wanting to sign up for months, now I'm ready but waiting to hear about any specials...

staramaze 07-07-2006 10:19 PM

Hum... SU! just Changed their Stampin' Start Program... now you can earn up to 9 free sets (any price) during your first 6 months... perhaps THIS is the great incentive you have been waiting for. Contact your demo for more details! Good luck!

shellief222 07-11-2006 05:57 AM

I wish I had the opputunity to get 9 free stamp sets when I joined. That's ok though, I still did get my fill of free sets. :)

owensmama 07-11-2006 06:40 PM

Because I'm so entirely new to the possibility of becoming a demo I have a silly question. How do you earn up to 9 free sets? Is there a goal that has to be reached and if so, what is it, etc.?

Thanks so much!

New2StampinNew2SCS 07-11-2006 09:51 PM

Hi!

I am also new to things and will be signing up in August. Could someone explain the 9 free sets.

Thanks!

staramaze 07-12-2006 11:19 AM

Hopefully this will help...from the SU Website... Ask your demo for details... This is a great plan and completely acheivable!

There are several differences between the current Stampin' Start program and the revised Stampin' Start program. Under the revised program
  • Recruits can earn up to nine stamp sets.
  • Recruits have six months to complete the program.
  • The sales portion is divided into two three-month periods. The sales goal for the first period is $1,800; the sales goal for the second period is $3,000. Sales totals do not carry over from the first three months; demonstrators will start with a balance of $0 at the beginning of month four.
  • The recruiting goal is three recruits A new recruit will earn a free stamp set for each new demonstrator she signs up, up to three free sets.
  • A recruit can earn free stamp sets for each goal that she reaches; she doesn't have to achieve both sales goals and the recruiting goal to benefit from the program. The number of stamp sets that a new recruit can earn varies depending on the goal:
    • If a recruit achieves the first sales goal ($1,800), she'll receive two free stamp sets.
    • If a recruit achieves the second sales goal ($3,000), she'll receive four free stamp sets.
    • A new recruit can earn up to three free stamp sets for recruiting new demonstrators (one free set for each new demonstrator).
To complete the entire Stampin' Start program, a demonstrator must achieve both sales goals and recruit three new demonstrators. Each recruit who achieves all the goals of the Stampin' Start program will receive the following, in addition to her nine free stamp sets:
  • A congratulations Stampin' Mail message
  • A certificate of achievement
  • An exclusive Stampin' Start Achiever's apron

Hey, that's OK. When I joined my kit was $400 and there were no free sets to earn regardless of how much you sold.

Deals have definately gotten sweeter over the years!

Ksullivan 07-17-2006 10:46 AM

Any signinh up specials now?

I can wait a bit, I don't need to be signed up until around the first of September. Also could some one tell me how the quarters are split up?

K

Jeanne S 07-17-2006 12:09 PM

There are new sign up specials at this time. But the new Stampin' Start program is wonderful.

Ksullivan 07-17-2006 12:44 PM

And how are the quarters split up?

K

tracy 07-21-2006 09:07 PM

You ladies should read my reply to another post on this thread. I just returned from the SU! Convention and we don't know of any stamping specials now or in the near future. I'd encourage you not to wait. NOW is the time with the new catalog! Perfect time to get all set up and ready to launch your business for the fall. AND perfect time for the current quarter.

Ksullivan 07-22-2006 04:18 AM

Thank you for telling me what the Quarters are, hard information to get, even my demo hadn't told me, even though I asked. Signing up soon, very soon I hope!

staramaze 07-22-2006 10:51 AM

Hum... I can't find that thread tracy...

tracy 07-22-2006 04:20 PM

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...d.php?t=167314

If that doesn't work, it is titled

How to pick a SU demo.

tracy 07-28-2006 10:17 AM

Hey all, I just caught wind that there is word of a recruiting incentive coming soon. That's all we know, so stay tuned!

thuskins 07-28-2006 11:56 AM

I hope it's not too good. I HAVE to wait until September.

ellepaul 07-28-2006 01:11 PM

I can't wait! Thanks for keeping us updated!

laniebug 07-28-2006 03:58 PM

I wonder how soon, I was planning on sending in my papers this week, but if it's not too far away I'll hold on. OOOOOO......now I'm so anxious.....:-D

lexant 07-28-2006 05:14 PM

come on ladies - spill the beans already!!!!! lol

operagirlcc 07-28-2006 05:18 PM

Just a little FYI.....
last years promo with the full size ink pads was a VERY unusual one. I have talked to some of my up-up-up line gals that have been around for 10 years and they all said that is the best promo they can EVER remember, and it had never been done before.
So, PLEASE don't wait for that particular promo, since you may not ever see it again! we don't have any word from the 'mothership' on promos for August yet (customer specials NOR recruiting if any), but I'm sure it will be posted here once demos know!
And.....JMHO, but if your future upline can't answer simple questions line when quarters are split, then maybe you might want to check out other upline options. PLEASE DON'T YELL AT ME FOR SAYING THAT!!! I'm just throwing it out there.....that is a pretty easy question, and any SU demo should be able to tell you that without checking anything.
BEST OF LUCK to all you thinking about signing.....it is a TON OF FUN!:)

I agree with everything you said!

KarenInKali 07-28-2006 07:55 PM

I'm sure someone would spill the beans if they knew it!!! I saw somewhere else that the special will be 15 Aug - 15 Sep - don't know what it is though. We demos won't find out until the Sept issue of our Stampin' Success magazine is posted online, or until someone on SCS receives theirs in the mail, whichever is first...

I'm anxious to know too... I have another recruit just waiting for a special!

New2StampinNew2SCS 07-28-2006 08:00 PM

i thought that was the heart association stamp set promotion from august 15 - september 15. i'm not a demo yet but that is what i had heard, i'm waiting for a special but i might just have to do it!

No, No, No, No...these are the dates for the American Heart Assoc promotion. We don't know ANYTHING about any recruiting specials. I swear. It has not been announced. It was a rumer that was posted on the demo side. Nothing else is known.

KarenInKali 07-28-2006 08:50 PM

Thanks Tricia. I knew those were the AHA dates but you're right, I can't say that I know anything for sure. It was totally speculation. LOL, I hate not having those dang edit buttons!!!

Lisa S 07-30-2006 03:45 PM

[quote=KarenInKali] I knew those were the AHA dates but you're right[quote]

actually if you look at the AHA Promotion flyer the dates are August 15-September 29

operagirlcc 07-30-2006 09:13 PM

still nothing yet. Us demo's should hear something either August 1st or August 15.....that is when we will know. We usually find out the day it starts, so I'm sure someone will post it here when we know!

operagirlcc 08-01-2006 04:50 AM

i just checked the demo part of the SU site and there is apparently no new special as of august 1st. maybe something will be out aug. 15th!

staramaze 08-06-2006 09:20 PM

Rumor mill now says August 11th we will hear something.

megd 08-07-2006 09:44 AM

It would make sense for them to announce something soon, since CM just announced they are lowering the cost to become a consultant. I know that they are very different companies but they do sell some similiar items and compete for the same crafters.

I am really hoping for something because I have ants in my pants to sign up.
