I am so excited to see all these Brits on here. As a fellow Brit, I've always been disappointed that when we move back to the UK I won't be able to carry on my business but now I can. Yeah!! I wanna see a UK catty - wonder what is different. I know when Pampered Chef entered the UK the catty was quite different.
Congratulations, ladies! How fun to be in at the beginning! Oh, I do wish we could order that drinking set too, lol! We don't have anything like it here in the US catalog...
Speaking of catalogs, Catie...you can view the other catalogs. Go to the SU site and choose Global. From there you can pick any of the catalogs to view.
Lol its like waiting for xmas!!! can't sleep, keep looking at the catalogue! why did i wait to send off the application! huh its my own fault i know!!!!i got all these ideas going round in my head and no su stamps to play with!!
Me too, Me too! I got my demo number last week and am just waiting impatiently for the post!!!!!
I think the UK catty is a lot smaller than the US one - maybe that's just until they get established.
My only concern is I know NO-ONE near me who crafts. I asked one friend would she hold a party for me and she said all the people she knows work and wouldn't have time for that sort of thing! As I don't work - I think that was a bit of a dig! Ho hum!

I know exactly what you are talking about. When I ask people around me, if they would like to come to a scrapbooking workshop (or from now on, a Stampin Up party), they always say, 'no time, I work all day, I have children, impossible, no time' I have a hard time understanding that. My husband and I run a dairy farm, I have children, too, so maybe my day has more hours than theirs. I don't know....

Are there any new Demo's in a relatively close proximity to Titchfield Common. I need to place an order and might be interested in having a party. I don't know that many people. I have a suggestion that might not be ethical but why not put up a notice or card at the local craft shops some of them don't run classes or host cardmaking so they might be interested that you are in the area and willing to do this as it is all so new here. I would be willing to participate in classes as well as long as I can figure out how to get there.
I am off to make cards.

Yeah I am doubled up on a few things - like the versamark and the kai scissors so will sell my oldies I think. I also have loads of chalk boxes which may go depending on the chalks and how good they are - I haven't tended to use them much in the past anyway so maybe I should just bite the bullet
Are you ebaying or UKSing??? Or have you found somewhere else?
My box arrived this morning and I am meant to be working but I just had to cut the rubber!!!!!! ROFL - oh yeah AND MY FINGER ouch boy are those scissors sharp!
I also had some brain waves for advertising for parties - the local hossie is near me so will pop up with some fliers for notice boards and see if I can get some up for staff and patients! I know they also regularly do stalls in their canteen so might see about doing one of those - sell some cards and drum up some trade.
I already have a list as long as my arm for things I want but I must sort out display boards and samples and some record keeping methods so I can claim back ALL my expenses as I don't want to be seen to be making too much money at this! Well I would have to pay more Tax and NI on it then - ROFL
And Ramona I am with you - I think some peoples days are just longer... I work full time, craft, have an allotment and a daughter and a husband and a family I visit regularly. But you know I am still me and I HAVE A LIFE TOO is what I say!
I'm still waiting for my starter set, but I just noticed, that there seems to be one call-center for the UK, French and German SU Demos. I just called the German number and someone answered in English. I was a little suprised, so he explained, that he was just jumping in because both of the German ladies were unavailable and he is normally responcible for the UK matters. I also found quite a few flaws on the website. A few of the downloads were the Australian versions and on one download (the list with all the order numbers for catalogues, order forms etc.) the text was in German, but it gave the UK prices...
Guess they still need to work on a few details.

now I may be being thick but I can't find Titchfield common - is it London or Midlands - I thought it was Midlands but clearly I have no idea as I can't find it!!!
Well you are welcome to order from me and I can post on or get delivered direct to you. Unfortunately although I am prepared to travel thats just a bit out of my range for an evening - sorry! PM me if you want to order.
I am sure someone will happen along soon - also SU are slowly sorting the webbie so I am sure they will be able to refer you very soon to a local demo - I think there are 43 of us so far in the UK so there are a few of us
I know for a fact that a lady called Amanda has signed up as a demo in Fareham, Hampshire, if you pm me I will let you have her email addy so you can contact her.
