Default Let's All Say Thanks

Up in the demo forums there is a thread asking where we all live. As I'm looking through it I see that many women list several states where they've lived because their husbands are in the military. Under many of those womens' user names there are pics of their kids. And all of a sudden I realized how much that must really suck...LOL I can't imagine how hard it must be for the little ones to leave behind school and friends as often as they do and I can't imagine, as a mom, having to tell your kids they are leaving a place that has become their home.
Whatever anyone's political views may be, I think we should all thank these ladies for giving up so much time with their husbands, leaving behind family and friends, having to pack up home, having to pull children out of schools and away from friends and frequently living (and often with children) in parts of the world where we wouldn't want to live for whatever reason.
THANK YOU. I'm gonna go kiss my babies now...

Add my thanks to all of you military spouses - and I think we used to have a couple members of the military (or support staff) posting on here as well. A big thanks for your dedication and sacrifices. I appreciate the freedoms you are fighting for more and more each day.

Thanks for the thanks! I think for most of us, we don't even really "think" about it anymore, it's just become such a big part of life...

I also thank all of you!! I am not a military wife....but a military sister. Although I have never had to experience the sacrifice first hand, I see what my brother and his family go through every couple of years. You all deserve an award for the support you show. Not to mention your spouses that deserve the ultimate award for their sacrifices. Thanks again!!

I just read the new thread and I do THANK all of you for putting up with the stressful life of the military. My sister and husband and 4 kids, were hardly anywhere for more than a year, and we hardly got to see them. We owe our lives, and many thanks to all of you!!

Thank you for the Thank you. It's a good feeling to know that we are appreciated. It is very hard to pack up and move leaving friends and family behind, especially when the move is overseas. So many don't realize that they have freedoms because of people like my husband who makes the sacrifice everyday. And he couldn't do that without us.

Thank you for thinking of us, it does mean alot.

Like Karen said, Thanks for the Thanks!

Life in the military is different.....but like she said, you just do not think about it.
I do not think of myself as being anyone special because of the military. Now, my DH and all the soldiers that are in the military....they are the special ones!!

Yes, thanks are due to all military families. It is very difficult to pick up and move every couple of years, changing schools for the children, all leaving friends and family behind for who knows how long, only to make new *best* friends at the next location. When the golden years come along, memories are mostly fond ones--all those moves included! Been there--I was an Air Force Brat for 25 years!
