Wow, I did it! I have been waiting since May for the best time to sign up and the new starter kit lured me in. But I guess now the real waiting begins! I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here who has given me great ideas through your beautiful artwork and advice in your posts. I can't wait to begin demonstrating and I already have a show lined up, thanks to my great sister-in-law!!!! Any advice for a new recruit would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations! I hope you love it as much as I do!
Advice...hmmm....
1. Be yourself! Don't feel the pressure to do things just like your upline or anybody else; you'll find your style after a while and you'll do things YOUR way.
2. Watch the video that comes with the kit a lot and practice, practice, practice.
3. Remember that everyone in your audience will not have the same tastes you do. Keep your projects pleasing for most people and you won't go wrong. Keep in mind that simple is better, especially for make and takes.
4. Keep on top of your paperwork!!! This is something I STILL struggle with!
Thanks for the advice. I will definately will post after I have my first show. I can't wait. I know that the thing I need to work on is keeping it simple. Hopefully I won't confuse anyone, but fortuanately I have a good group to screw up in front of---most family and friends---so it's ok if they laugh at me. I'm used to to it.

Shes great to laugh at. I am the wonderful sister in law that she has addicted to stamping  Shes so creative and can't wait to see how she puts the show together. I am almost as excited as she is and can't wait to see all her new things. I only live around the corner which is very very dangerous.
Congratulations Amy! You'll be so glad you signed up!
And welcome to SCS too! Sounds like you've got a good stamping buddy right there too to 'test' ideas with.

Isn't the new starter kit great? It just lured me in too... and I'm so glad! I work full time, so I wasn't sure if now was a good time to start. I'm so excited about SU so I'm sure I will make it work!
