Just wish I had waited 8 days to get the special But it is water under the bridge....
I did my first workshop for a friend. Sales were great...
I really promoted it as "MY FIRST WORKSHOP- THANKS FOR COMING"
1. they new not to expect a PERFECT workshop..
2. they were super kind and bought TONS!!!
I also did a few prizes during the workshop.. Like A covered/stamped mini comp book, an ink pad, stamped cards bundled together, a few piece of cardstock in a cello bag,
Make sure you package your gifts nicely..it makes a difference!
I did do
"Book to Look" envies. If someone booked a workshop/or stamp camp they choose an envie and at their event they would receive that items...
free ink pad, free card keeper, $5 off order, Free shipping etc.
They really like it. And if they don't fulfill their end you are not out product
Can't wait to have my OWN open house for the hostess sets

J-me,
Great ideas! I have a workshop scheduled for Sept. 8 and an Open House for the 17th. I am really nervous...I haven't had to present in front of people for a while and get anxious.
So glad to hear a newbie getting started on a good foot. You seem to be on track for a successful business!
Good Luck and thanks for the ideas.

Congrats - I just received my demo number Wednesday. Ya Hoo!
I will get my kit next week. I have a big open house scheduled for Sept 9th. I am going to have make and takes and run it more like and open house. I have friends who are going to book shows then. I wanted to do the first order as my open house. I am going to the envie booking deal and a sales deal. My goal is $1000 show so I figure if 20 of my closest friends spend $50, I am there. I am going to invite a ton of people, hoping about 30% show. I already know that people are saving up - one friend is going to buy a set of stamp pads.
I am really getting stoked and working with my upline really hard to get my business started with a bang!!!
I am really nervous and hope it all goes okay. I have done home sales like this - pampered chef, tupperware, etc. This just feels different. I really think I can do this. I always did really well in sales but sucked in recruiting. But for some reason, I think this will be different. We will see.

I'm really interested in knowing how you do with your open house. I plan to do the same thing in Oct. Please share with us the results- good luck!! I'm sure you will do great, SU is the first thing I've ever been really excited to sell. I've done a few other companies myself, but the support was never there and SU seems like a good fit for me. Have fun!

Way to go! What a great feeling it is to have such a great turnout
I too have sold for other companies and it was just that, selling. SU! is so much fun you don't even know you're 'working'
Have FUN!!
