Default How to use a brayer

Would someone tell me what to do with a brayer? I keep thinking I want to buy one but don't know how to use it!

Sorry, in my excitement I forgot to add that you can use it with the Spectrum pads by rolling across the pads...same with the classic ink pads and craft pads. It is so simple to use and so versitle you will wonder what you ever did without it.

I made some really cool tiger stripes by putting various sized rubber bands around my brayer and using basic black on really rust CS. Turned out great!! I also use my brayer to ink my large background stamps. I find that it covers more evenly.

Just a word of advice about using the brayer with Spectrum pads. You want to put the width of the brayer at the bottom of the pad, so when you roll, you're getting the same colors in the same places on the rollers and you aren't mooshing the colors all together. My demo showed me how to do this and I really love the effect! It also works best when you use glossy cardstock.

Hope this helps,
Susan

And I use the foam brayer for the plaid makers. They are the brayers that really get in the "cracks" of the plaid maker!
