Upcoming Copic price increase

We have just been notified that Copic prices will be going up as of 1/1/2019. The prices will jump from $7.99 to $8.99 for Sketch Markers and from $8.99 to $9.99 for Various refills.
If you don't already know, we actually currently sell the Sketch markers for $5.39 each (a savings of $2.60 per pen) and Various Refills for $5.99 (a full $3 off retail).... but we will be forced to raise those prices on January first.

Yikes! I think Copics are already overpriced. But I love them. I guess the only way to continue my collection will be to use my 40% off coupon and buy one a week at Hobby Lobby.

If anyone is interested, I have 52 Copic Ciaos remaining that I am selling for $3.50 each plus S&H.

If you would like a list of what I have left, send me a PM with your email and I'll get that to you. I have already sold over 100 of them so far. I just don't have time to practice with them.

Check out Crafter’s Companion for Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers. They are much less expensive than Copics & in my opinion blend better. They also compliment the SU Blends alcohol markers very well!!

I get Copics from Carpe Diem. They have lower prices on both markers and refills.

I get my Copic markers and reinkers at Merriartist. They are fabulous. If you spend $50 for Copic products, you get an additional 5% off. If you spend $100, you get an additional 10% off. Great deal and wonderful company to deal with.

Interesting that this thread got revived. I heard Sandy Allnock say in a recent video that prices are expected to go up next year; came over to share the news and saw this old thread where the same thing was reported last year but prices didn't change.

FWIW, You can buy all the different Copic markers at Dick Blick individually and in sets. The Copic Ciao are 3.59 each and the Sketch are 5.24 each at this time and they offer free shipping on orders over $35.
