I was just at our local Dollar Tree last night and they have lunch tins!!! They are very cute and are located in the Easter department! They are plastic and come in pink, purple and yellow! Both sides of pictures of bunnies on them - but that will be covered as soon as they are decorated!!! I bought a cart full - I cleared off the shelves!!! I figured May Day is right around the corner - best to start thinking a head!!!! I still have them in my trunk - haven't had enough guts to show my husband my huge purchase yet!!!
I am back without anything but 2 sets of bow and arrows, DS came with me. They said the only thing they had were buckets and baskets! I will have to go to the neighboring town; their dollar tree is better!
I saw this yesterday and headed right to ours after work. And got mine!! They are smaller than some of the metal tins that I found before, which I liked and will work perfectly for what I need them for. A big THANKS for the head up on this. I also bought a little straw purse that was lined to use as a gift with cards, notebook and that kind of stuff. Just love the info I get on this site!! Mary
Will someone post a pic when they cover theirs?? These are the same ones that they had last year, too. My kids all got one with goodies inside. I never thought of covering them, though.

I saw these, and they are so cute!! I never thought of putting cards and stuff in them! They are the perfect size for that. I guess I will be going back. LOL. My 3.5 year old will be happy!
What are you going to cover them with? I thought the little bunnies were cute. If you are making something really neat, post it, so I can go down and buy more before someone beats me to it because I will be CASEing it, LOL!!
I got some at Big Lot's and paid $1.50 for them. SOunds like the same tins. You might try there if you can't find any at the Dollar Tree even though they will cost a little more. I've got one posted in my very small gallery if you want to look. Happy hunting.
I was able to find some. This site really is way too addictive. Now you need to show us a sample of what you are going to do with them so I know if I need to go back and buy more!
Thanks for the heads up

I'm going to subscribe to this thread because I'd love to see some examples too. I don't think we have a dollar tree around our area, but I may check a few merchandise stores around here for something similar.
Well if this helps any, they are not actually tins. They are plastic. I know some have been looking for metal tins. They look like little pastel lunch boxes. Really cute!! I would take a picture of one of ours from last year but I'm not sure where it is.
I found some of the plastic ones at Dollar Tree. The woman said they were one of the first Easter items to come in, so maybe that's why they are hard to find. I got 2 each of pink, blue, and purple. I didn't see any yellow! I got soem really cute flower crocheted ribbon too. Gotta love Dollar Tree! I just wish the one that is 5 minutes away had good stuff.
LOL. When DH gets home, I will have him load them for me. It might be awhile. They are the exact same size as the ones from Target's dollar spot at the end of the summer. Hang in there, I'm trying... I understand Emily what you are saying about dragging the kids out, especially to Dollar Tree
