Whipper Snapper.....

Oh I am excited! Maybe someone already posted this but Whipper Snapper has their new website up and they are offering rubber only options...which are a little cheaper...so now those cute little creatures are more in my price range!! off I again to look and decide on more stamps!!

MelissaLR 12-16-2008 05:42 PM

I saw that and ordered 12 of them a month or so ago - my pocketbook definately likes the cling mount option!

StampinAK 12-16-2008 07:30 PM

Thanks Eva. I'll have to check them out!

cjbapp 12-17-2008 05:44 AM

Awww...They still haven't changed their shipping though....it's rediculous if you are just ordering a few stamps!

saramoreno 12-17-2008 06:08 AM

does anybody have the website addy?

The new website is so pretty and professional looking! I have a wish list of 37 stamps....oh goodness...I agree about the shipping...especially if you do order rubber only that is a tad high but they aren't the only ones with jacked up shipping rates....I know that it is difficult for a company to balance out the cost of the shipping....

I believe their shipping rates cover insurance and tracking through UPS.

Yep...that was the response I got from them about a month ago....they said they had a lot of packages "not arriving" via UPS...quotes are theirs.

I understand that they decided to do this, however I won't pay $9 for shipping when I live about 2 hours away...plus I have to pay tax...and their stamps are by no means cheap to make up for any of it.

Oh well...thank goodness there are only about 3 I want!

CuttersCallous 12-17-2008 10:23 AM

This is awesome news! Thanks for sharing!!

geojenc 12-18-2008 12:04 PM

I agree about the shipping. I was going to order 2 unmounted stamps and the shipping was almost as much as the stamps.

MelissaLR 12-20-2008 08:24 AM

just keep your eyes peeled - sometimes they offer half price, free shipping or percent off deals.

Ooh thanks! I would love to know when they do this because I am going to be placing an order right after the new year. Unless a special comes along.

thescrapmaster 12-20-2008 05:03 PM

TFS! Off to take a look!

thescrapmaster 12-20-2008 05:07 PM

Wow their stamps are really cute!

TFS I will have to watch for that.

JazzyScrapper 12-23-2008 06:52 AM

Very nice website. I really like it.

vicnvin 12-23-2008 08:30 AM

It's too bad they are not an angel company. there are a lot of sets I like, but if I don't have the option to sale cards I make with their images I don't buy them.

NikiE 12-24-2008 07:15 AM

That is great to know! I have never bought from them because I only want unmounted (and I like angel companies, too).

Willster007 12-25-2008 10:19 AM

The shipping is even worse if you love North of the US. I emailed them as the shipping to Canada is $14.95 and can only be shipped UPS - UPS charges a unreal amount of money for brokerage charges/fees when crossing the US/Canada border.
The first and last time I shipped with UPS to Canada, their fees were as much as the item I was shipping in...

Of course, I learn the hard way :)

luvbyloulou 12-25-2008 11:16 AM

I ordered from Whipper Snapper at the end of October and it was a flat rate shipping of $8.95 to Canada and I'm sure they shipped it USPS but not quite sure. I approx $175 so good shipping rate.

debzi333 12-25-2008 11:37 AM

I just received a package from Whipper Snapper about 5 days ago - and it arrived much more quickly than it has in the past- and it arrived in my mail box via USPS and Canada Post - no UPS involved.. I cannot remember the price that I paid for shipping, but it was no worse than for most companies I order from in the US.

Maybe they've changed things from when you ordered? My experience was very positive.

EvaC 12-25-2008 04:36 PM

I just placed an order this week and it is 8.95...it seems high when you first think about it....but it really is not much higher than some of the home party companies if you place an individual order.

kitty14 12-25-2008 07:35 PM

I ordered ( for the very first time) 3 stamps- just the rubber and I also thought the $8+ was high for shipping!

How fast do they usually ship? I know that with Christmas, they might not even work until next week and I completely understand.

I was just wondering if they are usually fast or slow with their shipping.

Their Shipping cost are the ONLY reason I've not purchased. They have the most adorable stamps but will not budge on the shipment payment.........:(

TexasGrammy 12-26-2008 08:24 PM

Very cool! TFS!

Tracy-Stamper 01-02-2009 02:13 PM

They have a 20% off sale going on right now till sunday Jan. 4th. You must be logged in as a customer and the code is NEWYEAR.

cjbapp 01-02-2009 02:28 PM

Will all of you please leave the Whipper Snapper Site so I can shop in peace??

LOL

The site's down. :(

mokkabella 01-02-2009 03:34 PM

they are having a 20% off sale till the 4th you have use NEWYEAR for coupon and be signed up to thier mailing list

please dont shoot me for enabling lol

cuppymouse 01-02-2009 09:58 PM

Is it just me, or is the Whippersnapper site acting really weird? The rubber stamps lead to garbled stuff... Am thinking of sharing shipping by sharing with a friend, the shipping has totally kept me down before. Not sure why they do it like that, but not good! However, 20% off and sharing shipping will totally work. Penguins here I come! (if the site works, as I want to check out unmounted rubber).

JohnsPrincess 01-03-2009 12:22 AM

With the 20% off code I Really want to get some stamps...but like others have said...the site is down. :-( I hope it comes back up soon!

Cicilisko 01-03-2009 12:42 AM

Maybe they put the site down when everyone here went to shop whith the 20% off code, lol :D

mokkabella 01-03-2009 04:58 AM

its garbling up fo rme too

and i forgot my password hit on that icon to send me it and 24 hours later still havent gotten it...so i guess they dont want you to shop hahahaha.

cuppymouse 01-03-2009 10:11 AM

Upon reflection, $9 shipping is egregious if one is ordering clear stamps. I just don't think I can pull the plug on that, even with the 20% off. Not sure what the basis for the shipping policy is, but it looks like Penguin Antics, which I have had my eye on for a while, may not be coming home with me just yet...

cjbapp 01-03-2009 10:19 AM

Y'all could hook up together and place one order for $150 and you get free shipping to one house...then most unmounteds and clear sets are only about $1-2 from there.

I would offer to do it, but I just went in with someone else for my 3 little stamps. :)

I emailed them about their policy...they only do UPS...they said too many packages have gone *missing*...quotes theirs.

mokkabella 01-03-2009 05:20 PM

man they dont have me on record

i ordered from them before
i get the emails with the sales
i re-signed myself up on their new website
and i forgot my password and i get a prompt

i re did it and coupon worked ya i can breathe now. lol

mokkabella 01-03-2009 07:55 PM

is anbody else is having problems nothing is opening up. the pages are frozen.
i would love to shop their sale but i guess it probably be down forever now.

cuppymouse 01-03-2009 08:00 PM

Yup, I am not able to browse either. Mind you, I shouldn't be... am not happy about the $9 shipping thing. If anyone can do non credit card paypal and wants to go in with me, it should be some savings... am happy to send my ebay username for feedback and do actual cost first class shipping (or meet up with you if you are local, I live in Chicago). LOVE the penguin antics, but 20% off or not, I cannot spend $9 to ship one clear set! Not that the website would let me, anyway. It must be a sign.

mokkabella 01-04-2009 06:49 AM

i emailed them said their server was down yesterday, look like happening a lot from reading this.. and they customer service doesnt sound too freindly either.they dont sound too thrilled in replying to emails.
