pinkhedgehog 11-11-2005 02:07 AM

What a great way to do this!! My first recipe is already entered. I love this, any typo's are the fault of the typist and owner of the recipe, no one gets mad at Catie!!

Granny Hawkins 11-11-2005 04:03 AM

Do recipes have to be original or can we use one we found and liked and just give credit to where we found them?

msniece1 11-11-2005 04:17 AM

Same question as Granny - I have a lot of recipes that have been handed down from my Mom and Grandmother that I'm sure came out of some cookbook or magazine - but I would have no way of knowing which one. Are those Ok?

mamakimberly 11-11-2005 05:32 AM

I put in a couple! :)

I'm hungry for pinkhedgehog's poppyseed bread now!!!

girlygirl 11-11-2005 06:22 AM

YOU ARE WACKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Consuelo 11-11-2005 06:30 AM

OOOH! I am so excited - I got my V1 and I am so excited about V2!!!

Recipes entered - three of my FAVS!!!

Jusgottastamp 11-11-2005 06:50 AM

Hmmm...a psyche ward is in order here... ;)

I have the same question about the source of recipes. I have one or two of my favs that are straight from a cookbook, but I also have a couple that I have no idea where they came from. Do we need to credit them if we know where they came from?

Don't want a lawsuit on your hiney... :D

tiny bubbles 11-11-2005 07:02 AM

Just remember if you abuse Catie during this she has a resident:

GRANNY!

irishjc820 11-11-2005 09:21 AM

Very cool! Great idea to do it this way!

Catie 11-11-2005 08:15 PM

Hey all! Woo! We have some great recipes already!

If you know that the recipe came from a cookbook/website-at this time we cannot use it. Too much legal hassle to get the copyright credits squared away. If you have a "generations-old" recipe that your great-grandmother used for Easter or something-I think that's ok. But no deliberate plagarism, know what I mean?

Thanks everyone!

One in for now. Thinking about the other one.

kathynruss 11-12-2005 10:33 AM

Ooooh, I'm subscribing to this thread so I remember where to go with my ginger creams recipe when I find it. Catie is just awesome to go through this again. She'll sic Granny on anyone that tries to abuse her!

creativechoicedesigns 11-12-2005 11:08 AM

I am confused ( usually always) about the recipes. Are we talking Food?
I am looking for recipes that can be assembled in jars and used as gifts, cookies, soups, meat rubs, etc. Would anyone out there like to share these with maybe some packaging ideas as well, but not neccessary. Is there, has there been other threads about this? Should I start one? Thanks, Pam

amylou 11-12-2005 07:03 PM

Oh my gosh Catie!! I was shocked to see this thread. A Volume 2???? Awesome!! I'll have to submit some more stuff!! Whoo-Hoo!!!

Shanon 11-12-2005 07:07 PM

Is there any way to still purchase volume one?

Catie 11-18-2005 01:36 AM

Yes ma'am. V1 can still be purchased. PM me for details!

I still want my ginger creams in there, but the recipe box is still in boxes. If you only have 18 so far, I'd just post them in this thread and call it toast. Any one interested could print off the 19 recipes and put them in their Vol. I.

Catie 11-23-2005 06:55 AM

We still have 2 months left until the deadline so we'll see how it goes.

I'm curious to know who is using V1 this holiday season. We're making QC's Turkey recipe tomorrow.

pinkhedgehog 12-26-2005 10:33 PM

We need more recipes!!! Come on you guys, we have 2 weeks to get them put in.

pinkhedgehog 12-26-2005 10:36 PM

Hey Catie,

You might think about changing the title of the thread to something more enlightening for newbies around here. Most people aren't even aware that you're doing a cookbook.

You might also put a new thread into a couple of different forums to catch those who don't visit Announcements.

I just added my recipes! Very easy to do!:)

Consuelo 12-30-2005 01:00 PM

I just checked out the recipies in the cookbook. Not very many. We need more, people!

Hedgehog0929 01-01-2006 11:39 PM

I just put my 3 recipes in for the cookbook and saw that there aren't very many there yet and we only have a few more days. If you need more recipes, please let me know. I would be happy to provide a few more.

robbrd 01-02-2006 03:39 PM

I just added 3 recipes to the book.

I'm glad it was posted in another forum or I would have missed this.

iwanabescrapn 01-02-2006 11:05 PM

I can't seem to get into the webpage to put in recipes'. :( I will try again later.

baronsmom 01-03-2006 01:33 AM

Hey, Catie! That would mean I'd have to cook! Bwahahaha hahahaha!

stampin_melissa 01-03-2006 04:46 AM

I just added one!

I'll keep thinking about a couple more to add before the 15th!

Yes, Catie, you are nuts, but we love you anyway! ;-)

Julia S 01-03-2006 05:50 AM

I just found this thread...didn't know you were making a cookbook!:) I'll try to get right on it!

iwanabescrapn 01-03-2006 06:24 AM

Okay, I got in and submitted my 3! They are 3 of my favorite and I don't tend to share them a lot!

msamethyst1 01-03-2006 04:27 PM

Added 3 recipes myself. So glad someone posted about this on ECC or I would have totally missed it.

mlj38 01-03-2006 06:14 PM
