TAC will do bi-annual catties too! **merged**
I just found out that TAC is going to do bi-annual catties! They will be released at the end of June and then in January. I remember when SU announced that, I thought it was a great business decision. Well, TAC was planning it too but I didn't know until today! I'm excited!!!
Just had to share.

TAC fans - please read!
I just read the April TAC demo mag online. Looks like we're jumping on the 2-catties-per-year bandwagon! I'm excited! Our catties will come out in July and January. They will be smaller and CHEAPER for both angels and customers. Like CTMH, the stamp images in the catty will not be true to size, but there will be a "sizer" on each page, as well as acrylic block size recommendations for each stamp set. Fall and spring supplements will be larger.
No flames, please! Just sharin' the joy

Thanks for the info. I recently bought my first TAC sets and they arrived this week. If you'd like you can see my Wild West card in my gallery.

I have to admit I was a little surprised when SU and now TAC annnounced this change, but really it makes sense. I think companies like Hero Arts already does this and there is probably always a huge demand for "new" stuff. It will also be nice, as they mentioned, that when things are discontinued by the manufacturer...to get rid of them quickly!! I loved the two latest supplements so if that's an indication of how things are going...woohoo!!

the only thing I am upset about is the size of the images. I liked that TAC showed them true size and not 50%....{sigh} oh well....

I'm glad to hear they will tell you which blocks you need for each set. That will be a help!

I too am unhappy with the change in the image size in the catty. I have always hated that in the CTMH catty because I just can never figure out what size stamps I'm going to end up with. I like true representations.

Smaller image size means more sets can be on each page--that's the one plus I see in that change, though I really do not like images that are not true to size. However, true sizes will be available to view online at any time (not sure where and how at this point).

While the images may be smaller, there is going to be one image on each page true to size. That and the fact that they are going to list the size of acrylic blocks that can be used will be a huge plus. I really like that they are going to do that - even now I have to get out that ruler to make sure customers get the right size block when they are ordering only a single block.
Happy Stamping and Scrapping

I like the changes that are going to happen when the New TAC catalog comes out in June 2007.
I think it's a plus for us...
I also like some of the New Spring Fling stamp sets...That are coming out next month too.
And the other good thing is they are going to have listed in the catalog what size Acrylic Blocks you will need with each set.
Now that's cool!!

I totally agree with you Shawna, with growing comes growing pains, but I think that these growing pains are well painless. I am so excited with the decisions they have made, I truly can't wait till Seminar.

I'm super excited about 2 catties per year. There are so many discontinued accessories this year it drives me nuts! Why do manufactorers agree to let us carry the products and then discontinue them? URGH. So having 2 catties a year will be great.
Also put me on the excited bandwagon about suggested block size. That will be a big help.
However, I am NOT at all pleased images will not be shown true size. We'll see how the "size it" images go. Otherwise, I might have to find a new brand.

After taking with my sister (who is also my downline) she used to be head of a Marketing department for many years.
She stated that this move with Bi-annual Catalogs is a Awesome idea.
It will help keep the flow of New items being offered
As the saying goes....Keeping up with the Jones!
As for the Stamps being shown in a smaller view.. I'm not real crazy about that. but it usually means more stamps and supplies will be listed in the catalogs.
Thtere are some things that I know that TAC will have to iron out with the New Catalogs.

Btw, I think its totally unfair that TAC products are not available in Canada. Waaaaaaahhh! I love the unmounted system and the products are wonderful. I think I'll polish up my halo just in case.
