Yup that's what I do with the my BG stamps, they are in binders. It works and is compact like you said.
I did have some smaller sets (word sets) in binders but have moved them back into the plastic cases. I can get 2 or more smaller sets in the same case. (I don't want the additional cost of tracking down and purchasing the CD/DVD cases.)

I am planning to use this system for my background stamps from TAC and CHF and also my large alphabets. I've heard great feedback from people who use this system exclusively because they can store so many stamp sets in such a small space and they are very portable. The ones I know keep them in a zippered binder.

It just costs you a bit more for the extra shipping costs and I have to do the paperwork for customs. Also depends on how much is ordered at one time...What carrier is used to ship/mail to you.

put it in the mircowave for 10 seconds- this looses the sticky which makes it easier to peel off. Also with the tac sets I dont use the acrylic blocks- my trick is that I have purchased extra blocks used with su and sprayed them with clear coat, the tac clingy stamp sticks to it, I use it then I remove and put the stamp back in the case. just my 2 cents- hope this helps

Julie- there are only 2 (yes, count them- TWO) stitches to know in knitting. And the second one is just the reverse of the first.

Lots of people get scared by the crazy cables and lace and color patterns, but EVERYTHING in knitting is just knit and purl. (And occasionally yarn over, which isn't a stitch- it's just putting the yarn, over the needle)

Hee hee...I've done both and like both, but I prefer knitting.

Knitting uses less yarn to cover the same amount of yardage and it's quicker. Crochet can look "clunky", mostly because it produces a stiffer, thicker fabric, though I've seen some beautiful things lately...seems like designers are getting better!

I like crochet for some baby things...and for edgings.

I think both look great. That is as long as someone else has done the work. If I do it, it looks bad. Like my 3 year old did it. LOL!

What a Great idea for those of you that don't like
Acrylic Blocks!

I have taken some of my wood mounted stamps and used them as well.

The other thing you could do is purchase some Clear contact paper and add it the wood blocks.
Cause the cling foam would work well this too.

When I use a TAC background stamp, I put the cling on the front of a SU background stamp (the sticker) and it clings perfectly. I then use it just as I would a SU stamp. I figured this out because when I first got some TAC backgrounds I wanted to use them but totally forgot to order the clear block. I've never ordered the clear block, this worked so well.

I have a large piece of Plexiglas top on my stamp table... I lay my TAC background stamp on that and it stays, and then I lay my cardstock over the stamp!

I love the idea of using the back of a SU background

Tack n Peel I have had a few ladies ask me about it.

But today is the first I have heard of it!

I too will need to do some research on it!

Ok I found a link to a site that tell you all about the Tack n Peel.

It sounds really good. But I think it cost a little much.

See for yourself and let us know what you think?

I saw that they say it works on wood mounts, too, which is a huge plus for me!

But, DANG, the price IS kinda high! I would have thought you'd get MORE than just one little 4x6" sheet for $10???????

Ouch in the pocketbook!

I was thinking that it would be bigger for that price.

At least with using the Ez-mount foam you have some cushion under your stamps, and You get a bigger sheet of foam for way less money than that!

From what I read you have to cut it out to fit your stamps. So a 4" x 6" wouldn't get you to far.

I think I will stick to my Ezmount foam for now.

And since I get a sheet with every order from TAC. I think it much better that way.

Not having to shell out extra money for something for my stamps to cling on with.

I like using both wood mounted and unmounted stamps....

Smile TAC cling

lol! let's face it ladies...any surface that is stiff and flat (not textured) will hold a TAC cling stamp! haha I just love what we come up with in a pinch.
Does this mean I'll never sell the acrylic blocks sets I have here sitting on my desk? lol!
Someone mentioned plexi-glass...when I first saw the "blocks" I said geez this is just like the "bullet proof" glass! lol!

Kim we were talking about the NEW TACK N PEEL You can view it from the link in one of my post!

I agree that TAC stamps cling to just about anything Flat,

I think you will sell Acrylic blocks Not matter what.

But there are so many different ways to attach your unmounted stamps these days.

Why not give a choice to everyone.

Cause you know not everyone is going to like one system.

One system I do not like and will not go with is the hook and loop method.
I like having a little cushion under my rubber stamps. Using this method you would not have the cushion under the rubber.

Not to be a downer or labled negative, but I completely agree with you. I looked at the catalog and the current supplement catalog and can't say I even remotely see something I could use. JMHO!!

I love this new catalog and I really like several of the sets in the fall supplement too! So much so that I am going to sign up to be an "angel" in October! I am so excited. It's hard to wait!

Some folks might even think you are "lucky", but not a downer! Everyone has their own tastes...but with the number of folks who have been placing their own workshop orders, or still have growing wish lists, they probably wish they didn't like what they saw!

Kim ~ I’m in no way using Plexiglas as a substitute for blocks… LOL..I have a one’s of those white lumpy, bumpy banquet tables from Sam’s and I use the Plexiglas on top for a smooth stamp surface… and it just so happens that my background stamp sticks to that ~

back up the idea truck, Jovi.

I have one of those bumpy tables myself. What does the plexiglass do-just give it a better stamping surface?
can you hammer eyelets on it?
thanks!

Oh Britta it makes a huge difference, the Plexiglas gives it a smooth surface to stamp on. I’ve added Velcro dots to the corners to keep it from sliding off the table!. I was a able to pick up a huge piece of it from Home Depot, it doesn’t fit the table exact, but I don’t have to mess with the bumps and lumps anymore~

Unfortunately you can’t hammer eyelets on it, it still isn’t as stable as a counter… that’s why you need to get a Crop A Dile!

Well, that is ok! I just placed a huge order and can't wait! I love the papers! I am a paper hoarder, but I have been getting pickier and pickier (running out of space). But I LOVE the new lines. I think the prices are great (they are the same as BG's if you buy the pack and I get the monograms included! And I am a BG addict. So, getting these with my discount as a demo plus a hostess half off item- AWESOME!

At least I know your order won't be making me wait longer for mine to get here! LOL!

You're not being a Downer You're just being Honest!

Not everyone is going to love or even like what TAC has to offer.

But there are going to be people that DO "LOVE IT" and will buy from it!

That's why there are so many other Companies out there for us.

Not one Company is going to appeal to everyone!!!

Unfortunately you can’t hammer eyelets on it, it still isn’t as stable as a counter… that’s why you need to get a Crop A Dile!

I have an SU alphabet set that I haven't mounted yet and would like to use "unmounted" now that I know how versatile it is. Should I completely remove the SU foam and remount on Creative Cling or can I use the Tack it Over and Over stuff OVER the adhesive side of the foam that's on there?

Hey Jessica! I've read that you can leave the sticky foam on and use it just like that...someone said they have been doing it over a year and it's fine. Then if it ever gets so that it's not sticky any more...you can either pull off the foam and use the cling (which is why I often cut my stamps apart and then carefully cut the cling to fit...because I like to hoard the extras for this purpose! Or, when I buy other companies' UM and they don't send cling...say it isn't so!! ). Or, you could use the tack it over then...

Well, I just got my demo "copy" of the Fall Supplement in my hot little hands and it is so nice!! We have always just had plain paper copies (no color, save maybe pink printing...but, you know what I mean!), so this is exciting!!

Chris ~ I’m still waiting for mine to arrive, maybe this afternoon! We’ve been getting lots of rain here today, I have to make sure to get out of the box before it gets too wet!

Jovi! Don't let the rain get to it!! Accost your mailman if you must!! tee hee... That's what I do with the UPS man. In fact, I spoke to him the other night and my husband looked at me real funny. He said, "do you know him that well that you make small talk?" Well, ya!!

The Kamalaht papers are incredible looking...my favorite yet by far. These have got to be made by Basic Grey papers...!?!?!

Enjoy!

I was so excited to get a full color copy with my Angel News and Notes- I didn't realize we even got one!

Everything looks SO pretty. It's so hard to resist. New papers or Ecommerce? HMMM?

I would say Ecommerce for now. Then you purchase the paper later?

But ecommerce is so much more difficult to hoard in the closet
