Stamping and Craft Storage ideas
Guys,
My husbands company is coming out with a new craft line they have a web link showing some of their new storage items selling at Target. They are going to be adding to this line. As well as selling in other markets. Take a look at their site and add some feed back on what types of products you would like to see. They are very open to suggestions and would like to come out with stuff that people want to use and need. I have all of these new items and they work great. The more suggestions the better.

suggestions for storage ideas
I'm new to Stampin Up and stamping, but I've made 30+ cards in the last 4 months and of course don't want to give the original ones away. I need something to store them in and that I can easily tote them places to show others what I've done (to convince them to come to a Stampin Up party!). That's what I'd like to see! Can't wait to head to Target to see what's already there!

Those look really nice! I wouldn't mind seeing some type of cart that holds paper (like the ones at scrapbooking stores, but not so expensive) with a front cover to keep dust out! I love the fact that these are "acid free".

this all looks very nice and practical...cart is a little pricy... but other items are not I will check these out as I am trying to re organize things...
I would like to se more divided holders to hold embelishments and maybe more paper holders... would love to see a note book style to display that I am keeping cards...

I have already purchased one of the stacking storage units, and went back to get another and they were all sold out. I have all of the Stampin Up ink pads and they fit in these 2 boxes along with my embossing supplies and versamark stuff, and is very portable. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!

I already bought the photo organizer at our local Target and love it! It holds cards beautifully and comes with plastic dividers so you can organize by theme

I bought the cart and a couple of the storage containers. I thought the cart was a wee bit high in price, but took a chance on the quality. I like it a lot! It's well constructed and is exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to see what else they come out with.

I think this is a great idea. I think the cart is a little expensive but it is exactly what I need to organize my stuff. I am not really crazy about the color of the cart but, tucking it away in a closet while not in use will solve that problem. It looks like more paper storage is needed. I have a portable file tote crammed full of paper plus another 12 x 12 container filled to the brim. (I am a paper addict, BTW!!!) I like the "locking" feature. I will definately be buying this as soon as possible.

I also sent the company an email, but would like some kind of small "cubby" system to store the large thumb punches, one to a section, and the whole thing about 2 sections high x 4 or 6 wide. The punches are 3"h, 3"w, and 6"L. I have them in a "shoe type" plastic box, but hate piling them up and the one I want is ALWAYS on the bottom! I love SU's large punches (like the tag one, the squares, the circles, etc.), but would like to store them better. I can't find drawer units that are less than 14" deep, and that is the depth of my HD cupboard where I keep this kind of thing.
Just an idea......

I am headed to Target tomorrow and will have to look at these. They showed up really nicely on the web site.
What I really want...in addition to what has been said by others...is a cart/bookshelf with 4 or 5 shelves. I would like to stack my sets on the shelves but not as deep as the normal carts, etc, would make me. Would like to find a bookshelf or something with movable shelves or maybe a 3 shelf one with availbale extra shelves. If I lived closer to my bro I would ask him to build me something.

Hey, that stuff is neat! I'll be heading to Target first chance I get. I love the idea of the rolling cart, although it is more than I can afford right now. Will have to watch for a sale. OR- - - how about a special, a coupon or something, for SCSers? |

Card example holders
For holding cards she makes my upline uses those really cheap photo books for this. You know, the ones that are only clear plastic fronts attached to white plastic. I'm sure they're no more than a dollar each...check dollar stores maybe. I think they hold 24 pictures(cards). Anyways, she makes a ton of different examples using the same stamp set, then brings the examples to her workshops. It gives the customers something to look through while waiting to place orders etc, and also shows the versatility of the sets... just an idea for you!

I bought the 12x12 double stacked paper keeper and love it. Definitely good quality and holds a lot. I am planning on going back and buying a couple of other items.
Our Target seems to have the whole line. The prices are good - maybe a tad high - but as I said - very good quality.

jkworl, your DH's company's products look great!
My only feedback would be something that looks a little more like furniture and more 12x12 and standard hanging files incorporated into shelving. Does that make sense?

I saw this line just the other day...it is a good idea... I really like some of the smaller box style containers... not really a bad price( yes more than the dollar store) but differnt sizes for different things... and the paper storage containers can set "down" into the cart if you move the shelf... I plan on starting with the containers then see if I can use the cart ... and hope they add more pieces...

My 2 Cents
They seem pretty cool...but for me-- I have so much stuff... maybe they should consider a taller one? Maybe another shelf higher? I don't think I could even fit my paper on that cart.
I'd like to see more options for markers, ink, etc. Plus, I third the motion on ribbon storage. That seems to be the worst problem I have lately. I buy those sterlite containers, using the size just about shoebox...and I like the width, but I don't need it so "deep". I could stack more on my shelves if they were more shallow. Does that make sense?

Hi,
I haven't checked this out yet - but it's my next thing to do. I was heading there in a day or two anyway. Someone said something about ribbon storage. I got a couple of CIS storage ribbon boxes at Michaels and I love them (in the ribbon aisle). They are a little long but I can see all the ribbon easily (the tops are clear), they stack, and you can thread the ribbon out too. Just wondering if anyone else has seen them. I haven't seen them at JoAnn's and only the biggest Michaels around carries it. Maybe target has something similar. -Jen

Michael's Ribbon Storage Box
I have the same ribbon storage box from Michael's. I'd been looking for some time for a way to store my ribbon, most of which I bought a yard or two at a time from my SU demonstrator. I was looking at decorating a cardboard shoebox or something when I stumbled across this box at Michael's. I love the clear lid so you can quickly see what you have but not risk them falling out. Ribbon & accessories add so much to a card's design. I'm now addicted!

I've got my card stock in a rubber maid tote. But I'd like to find a rolling craft cart about 15" high for me to set this tote on. It doesn't need any other shelves, but if it does its okay.

Hi they are usually found in the storeage area of target or on line has them too and they have reduced the reg price to 49.00now great buy and I love how it rolls and the storeage bins fit nicely ont here as well as the embellishment/paper boxes hang nicely.. great product I think. and I love mine.

YAYYY! I Found the perfect Ribbon Storage Container! :-)
I went to Michael's today to get this ribbon box described below. However, I could tell it was not large enough to fit the SU Grosgrain ribbon spools. BUT I found another type of Ribbon Storage Case there. It is black and holds three rows of ribbon, including the size for the grosgrain. It has a handle to carry it. I didn't measure it, but it is a little smaller than 12x12 I think. I am really excited about this.

I found it at Target today, AND bought it, AND put it together! I LOVE IT ALREADY! Thanks so much for telling us about it. BTW, it is WHITE, not masuline at all!

WOW! I am so surprised to hear the cart described as "ugly". Have you seen it put together? I am very pleased with mine. It is a glossy white, which I think is very pretty. The movable shelves are great because they give a lot of options. I bought it and assembled it yesterday. I finished orgainizing my stuff into it today and it looks great. And it was extremely functional as well. I rolled it to my dining room table (where I have a big table and lots of light) and just pulled stuff from the cart as I needed it. Really, it is SUPER (and nice-looking too!) LM

Really? My friend bought one and it was grayish...yuck! She ended up putting it out in the garage! Her dh loves it! Maybe I will have to check them out again...I saw the line several months ago. Thanks! |

I matched my SU Color Cardstocks to the green of the lids of these storage boxes, and Sage Shadow is a great match. I made labels for all of the storage containers by using white on Sage Shadow. And then writing the contents of the container on the white part. I adhered the tags on with stampin' dimensionals (2). They look SO nice! LM |

I matched my SU Cardstock to the green on the lids of these storage containers and I found that SAGE SHADOW is a great match. So I made tags using White CS on Sage Shadow. Then I wrote the contents of each container on its tag, and adhered it with stampin' dimensionals (2). They look SO nice! LM |

also the snal boxes sold in the back to college section are great on the craft cart they coordinate and fit nicely they come in 3 sizes one is perfect for our stamp pads, there is one that is a small square too great for our cds to hold our samples on, and one that is large enough for 12 x 12 c/s the long one is also great for our photos too.. just thought I would let you know cause after the college section is done they are gone.. I have heard there will be some holiday ones for gift giving at Kohl's .. but the coordinating one will be gone.. so run on over to target a get a few.. jodi
