Please keep Colorado Springs in your prayers.

There are a lot of people that live in that area. And they need our prayers and support!

I don't know how many of our fellow SCS'ers live in that area.

dh and I have family members living in the area. So far they are ok. but they ready to leave when they are requested too.

As one who has had a few close calls with brush fires, I can certainly relate! Make sure to take your cell phone rechargers (they are NOT all alike), your online password notes, any medications, your IRS tax receipts from the last 3 years, pet food, glasses, etc. if you have to evacuate.

wow! I'll have to contact my friend who lives up there and see if they are ok. We love the area, have visited twice now in the 8 years we've been married.

My sister lives in Colorado Springs and was evacuated from her home last night. A police officer came knocking and told her to "get out ... now!" She had just minutes to gather up her dog and a few personal items/clothing.

I can't stop thinking about Colorado. I pray for rain every day for them and a miracle to stop these forest fires. Definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are in the west and also in Florida, for the flooding. Blessed be

I live in Colorado Springs. These fires are unbelievable. The news is reporting 300+ houses have been destroyed.

I saw these signs as we were driving around town yesterday (they were all over). We have a very wonderful community and are so thankful for all the heroes that are working so hard to keep us safe.

The neighborhood where my sister use to live is pretty much gone now.

Friends and family and have been told to leave. They are all ok.

It blow my mind that this happened. I know it's happened in other places. But I guess it hit home more when you know someone, That's been affect.

We have been out in Colorado Springs area a few times. At one time I thought about moving there. Cause my sister was living there.

Yesterday was a very upsetting day for me and other family members and friends. Loosing their houses. Things and even pet's.

I'm still keeping them close in my heart and in my prayers.

Just heard from my friends- they are OK (they are in La Foret). But she has a friend she picked up at the airport, and when they got to her friend's home, the police were waiting, told them to grab her things and get out now. So, she's with my friend until the situation settles down.
Keeping a good thought for all those affected by this.

jkincolorado- Stay safe and my thoughts are with you.

jeanstamping2- I am so sorry for you and your loved ones losses. I know it's not much comfort. :(

The winds have died down some and I hope this is good news. I keep looking at the rain patterns but tell Tropical storm nightmare goes out of Florida it looks dismal. I haven't forgotten about you all in Florida either. I have family out there but they are safe.

1 person was found dead in one of the burned houses yesterday and another is still missing. I was so hoping we wouldn't hear this kind of news.

The fire is now 15% contained though. There are more than 2,000 firefighters working to contain it - that is mind blowing!! Thank you just doesn't seem like enough...
