No - they make it confusing but you can sign in without those!!
I don't see how I can because when I follow the link in the email they sent me, it comes up with "You've been invited to join Pinterest" and it says to "click the Facebook Connect button to get started" and then underneath it says "You can also sign-up with Twitter", but it doesn't offer any alternatives. When I click on the Facebook Button, it says I have to use my Facebook email and password (which I don't have). I am not sure what I am missing - I feel a little dumb.....
I just went to the main home page of Pinterest and it allows you to sign in that way. But I did already have an account there, so that may be why I could?? I'm not sure.

I just invited myself and you're right - there's not that option anymore :(
Just sign up for Twitter (it's easier to sign up for than FB) and join - you don't have to use Twitter to use Pinterest after you've signed up
I joined Pinterest a week or so ago and have been pinning cards from blogs. Then today, while reading the bio of a new blog I checked out, I noticed the request not to share images anywhere else except with blogger's permission...so how does that work with pinning? I don't have many pinned yet, so could delete them (I assume) but want some feedback on what to do first so I'm not violating some creative ethics yet can have one place to keep all my inspiration!

Laurie......I do think that's a cool inspiration idea although I haven't pinned cards made by anyone else so far. I'm thinking if you put the crafter's name in the description it would be fine since it would be like sharing it on FB or somewhere else and giving credit to that stamper. Just my .02 on the matter.
When I requested mine months ago, it took a little over a week. But with the growing popularity, I can see how it might take longer. Although there doesn't seem to be a cap on the number of people we can send invites to, so I'm not sure why they're making folks wait anymore.
