PC Stamping Royalty Contest?
 

Did anyone else enter the Papercrafts Stamping Royalty contest? I sent in several things and they were supposed to contact winners around this time. Just wondering if anyone heard anything?

Hi Heather! Funny, I was just coming here to ask this exact same question! I entered also (one card in each of 4 categories) and I probably shouldn't get my hopes up so much, but I am anxious to know also. Here's to hoping we both get a phone call some time soon!! If anyone reading this won or knows of a winner being notified, please let us know here as the wait and wondering is excruciating - lol!

I don't know of anyone yet who has heard so hopefully that's good news for us and they haven't contacted winners yet. I know I also shouldn't get my hopes up but it's so hard not to!!:)

Oh, I have been wondering the same thing. I entered six cards. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but it would ease my mind to know if anyone has heard anything, LOL! Fingers crossed for everyone. :D

just going on a little rant really quick :)

I have entered things in a few things that mean a lot to me lately and I have been telling myself not to get my hopes up so I will feel less dissapointed. I don't think we should be saying this! We all create beautiful WORKS OF ART! We should stand up and say that company or contest would be lucky to have us as a winner/member. Even if you don't get picked this time it means the company wasn't looking for the idea you submitted but it doesn't mean there is not another company that is waiting for a wonderful, artistic designer such as yourself to enter into that contest. Or at least that is what I'm telling myself as I find out if I "won" a few things soon as well. We should all be proud of our creations whether we are new and this is our first card or veterns who have been doing this forever. Hope you don't mind me hijacking your post. But I have seen your cards and you all are fantastic, creative people that make beautiful art! Best wishes and good luck to all of you!

I just called Paper Crafts Magazine and was told that the selections/winners were chosen today and notification will be made within the week. I too entered the contest, but realistically the competition must be incredible. So many fabulous stampers and one really never knows what the magazine is looking for. The magazine selectors too may not exactly know and it is just something that strikes their fancy that is deemed to have readership appeal.

I was one of the winners the first year of the contest. That was like... back in the dark ages. ;) Never ever thought I even had a chance. Such a surprise!

THANKS so much for your well-wishes ladies!! Teri, what an honor, now you have me looking though my old PC mags (November issues) so I can find your card - lol! Thanks Lisa for such kind and encouraging words, and Glenda Thanks for your update and inside information also. It's nice to know we can all hold out hope for a little longer - lol!

P.S. - If I don't win I will definately share my cards for the contest here later next week. Knowing how much work I put into them it'd be a shame for no one to see them. I wonder what they do with all the so many cards they get there at PC? I would think they have a huge surplus of amazing art and sure hope that it doesn't end up in the garbage - I would think they should at least give them to our troops or to benefit someone.

I just wanted to congratulate you ladies.... At least you had the guts to enter. I looked at it and thought about it and, well, didn't know if my stuff was good enough so I didn't even give it a try.... So to those that did, regardless of the outcome, my hats off to you!

I just took a peak at all of your galleries, and you all have done amazing work. They should be honored to have you all submitting your work to them.

Isn't this for the PC Idol contest...not Stamping Royalty, right?

Yeah, Gallery Idol is the 27th but Stamping Royalty rules (fine print at the bottom of the ad) said they would announce winners on or about the 17th.

Just an fyi the calls are coming. I received mine this evening about 5 o'clock. I wish all the rest of you best of luck.

I received a call too, but didn't know if we were allowed to mention it or not. (I wasn't able to form any coherent questions on the phone). So, I did a search to see if people were posting and am so glad to see that people are. I don't know how I would have been able to be quiet till November.
