That is too weird..I dont think anyone has gotten these news ones except for Canada..
Bonnie
Actually, I think there have been new ones in different places in the states. I seem to remember San Diego, New Jersey, and Iowa in this thread.
I'm sort of jealous of places that have both Michaels and Jo-Ann Superstore. When I saw my first Jo-Ann in California a few months ago, I noticed that they had dollar stamps, too (and a whole lot of OTHER stamps and things), but that they were totally different from Michaels' stamps. Where I am in Canada, there is pretty much just Michaels. I like Michaels well enough, but I keep wishing for more variety.
Still no new $1 wood stamps in Winnipeg. I get more and more disgusted with each box of "old" $1 stamps that comes on the weekly truck. I keep telling myself that the distribution centre will HAVE to run out of the older series soon.
I can't believe it! I was at West End Michael's in Edmonton over the weekend sale and most of the new stuff was sold out. And, the clear ones - which I love - so worth $1.50 - were mostly sold out, too. Is there anyway you can order them?

Short answer: Well, no -- at least not through Michaels. We tried ordering lots more of the clear stamps at our store when they first hit, and got the same ONE box of 96 stamps/blocks that came in the first shipment -- 4-6 weeks later! I'm pretty sure that the system won't allow these to be special ordered.
Long answer: Even if you could order, you couldn't order specific stamps. The stamps are all part of specific assortments. Depending on which assortment it is (wood or clear, and series of wood or clear), there will be different multiples of different items within one inner pack -- eg. 4 each of 24 styles -- all with the same UPC, so there is no way to order specific stamps. The smallest unit of $1/$1.50 stamps I have seen so far is a box of 144 wood stamps or a box of 96 clear stamps and acrylic blocks. These stamps come directly from the warehouse, using an autoreplenishment system (when enough get sold, they're supposed to send more, assuming that they still have the item in stock at the distribution center) -- at least, that's the system as I understand it. ;)
The wood stamps seem to be coming in more often than the clear stamps (at my M-store, anyway), but like anything that's terribly popular, demand often exceeds supply, and then people have to hunt to get what they want.
I just checked out Hampton's website to see if the $1 wood or clear stamps are available online or not. I didn't see any of the $1 stamps that Michaels has been selling, so it will take a more determined person than me to track down an online source for these. Then again, you could always just keep checking back with your local M-store. I'm pretty confident that these stamps will eventually hit. I just wish I knew WHEN.
I know, waiting is the worst. Hmmm, I didn't know about the Michael's ordering thing, though. Thanks for the info. Maybe I will be more understanding when what I want isn't available at Michaels!
Anyway, I am off to bed... Thursdays my husband is home, and so I get the WHOLE day to scrapbook or make cards or do whatever I want. This is the first time I get to use the day, and my local scrapbooking store is open from10 am to 9 pm... I am SO pumped! Although, I sorted baby pictures of my son when he was born, and he is so darn cute, I want another baby! Of course, he is 7, and his younger sister is almost 6, so I'm not having anymore babies! My kids are in full time school! Yahoo!
Of course, there ARE things that can be special ordered, and if you're willing to wait 4-6 weeks (or more), something usually comes in. Usually. There are enough stampers on staff at our M-store that we are all eagerly waiting for the new ones to arrive. It's probably that way at a lot of other stores. I agree, though -- waiting is the worst. I just hope we get these stamps before summer is finished! ;)
For now, I'll just drool over the catalogue... I got mine today. Ahhhhhhhh... sipping cold water and going through my stampin' up! catalogue. Not a bad way to spend an evening!
I was looking around to see if Kolette Hall made other stamps (hers are the $1 wood stamps at Michael's) and I found out she has sets through Hampton Arts (http://www.hamptonart.com/kolette.asp). I love her handwriting!
Since I was interested I looked at her website. Wow what an inspiring story. I decided to email her to tell her how much I liked them and she emailed me back the next morning! She said I made her whole day for taking the time to track her down and tell her how much I loved her stamps.
I love making someone's day (Now if there was some way to magically make my handwriting as cute as hers I'd do it in a heartbeat!)

Hey y'all -- I had a busy day yesterday, so I didn't get to my computer until today, but the St. Vital store in Winnipeg did get 2 boxes of the new $1.50 ($1) wood stamps yesterday. I made sure that one box hit the bin in front of Register 1 right away, and the rest of the second box went in there today after some of the staff had taken the ones they wanted. I know that two boxes is not a lot, and it won't take long for two boxes to get picked over, but I'm hoping that we get another box or two next week. The old series of wood stamps was coming in pretty much every week for the past month (just a box or two at a time), and it would be great if that pattern continued with this new set -- at least for a while. ;)
I had been hyperventilating to get this new set in, but now that it's here, I'm not really super-excited. I only bought 12 out of the 24, because several of the stamps resembled previous Kolette Hall $1 stamps, and I liked the other ones better. Oh well. Anything that I can keep myself from spending now will prolly go into the piggy bank to finance my future SU! purchases.
I went to the one in South Edmonton Common with my mom 20 minutes before they closed and I still somehow managed to spend about $50 on stamps and ribbons. I guess I will be making my next trip sometime next month.

We got another two boxes of the new $1 ($1.50 CDN) wood stamps in Winnipeg. They both went straight into the bin at the front of the store, so if you were waiting for the next shipment, you don't need to wait anymore. They're here!
Then we should be winter-ton! Yikes! Lightening and thuner. I think we are on tornado watch here today, but I'm not sure. I should get the stamps in the basement! LOL. Wouldn't want to lose those!!
We still haven't gotten these in MA. Not that I haven'y seen anyway. I didn't go for about 3 weeks so it's possible I could of missed them.
I stalk up on all these dollar stamps just because I tend to hoard them but find I seldom use them. I guess I just like to have them in case y kids ever need stamps. I'd rather them use the cheap stamps than my SU. TAC, AND ctmh stamps

I know, I know. I keep saying there should be something called stamper's anonymous! I try to limit myself now.... think about when am I going to use it, etc. And decide from there. Even $1 stamps can add up fast!
Just got back from the Edmonton Michael's today and they got in a bunch of new $1 (...er that's $1.50 here in Canada) wood mounted stamps! I found 24 of them and attached a picture if you are interested in seeing what they look like before running out.
That was thoughtful of you to post a photo. I bought a few of those you show the other day and don't see too many more I *need* right now, so you saved me a trip! Thanks!
FINALLY......They made their way to us lonely folks way down here in South Florida. I always read about all the Michael's stamps on SCS for weeks before they show up here.
I guess they have to make their way to bottom eventually!
I picked up a few of the clear and some of the wood stamps.
They were just putting them out when I got there and the store was loaded with boxes everywhere.
hmm I still don't think I've seen these at our M's here in MA. ONLY THE NEWER CLEAR STAMPS. I like these too. esspecially the prego one.

Yup... I went to Mike's and BOOM! bought the whole lot of the new rubber mounted stamps... Boy.. am I in trouble.. They are very simple stamps.. but I think they would look find on a 3X3 card...
Good Luck everyone!!
Does anyone have the new Halloween $1 stamps. I picked them up today all of 24, but came home with 2 duplicates. Now, I am missing one, darn it. I wanted to know which one I was missing.
Thanks
