New Studio G Christmas Clear stamps
How come when you are not suppose to be out shopping for stamp supplies, is when you find things that you shouldn't be buying. Grrr! I went to Michaels today to get me some artist round sponges, those yellow ones. Anyways, I came across the Christmas dollar bins in the isle...wouldn't you know they had the Christmas stamps in the bin. They must of had them for awhile now because I took the last 23 of them. I didn't pick up the alphabet one because I figured I have enough of those. Anyhow, aren't they cute?
I have been really good about not spending on alot of stamping stuff. But, this one...I had to get these. I hardly ever spend money on myself, so I thought this was a treat to me.
Does anyone else hoard their stamps like me?

I like em, theyre like little added bonuses for me when i go to the store. I usually only buy the ones that I really like. And i must say ive used them a lot since im working my way through the sketch challanges and the cards are made to fit into little ziplock baggies that are 1.5 inches by 2 inches so theyre slightly smaller than that to fit, and I need tiny stamps for them.

I have seperated all my Studio G stamps into catagories and am loving it! So much faster to find what I want, and I am USING them now. I've even taken the liberty to cut off sections that I don't like on a few of the stamps. I did save the original package prints and filed those in a folder just for references.
Looks like these are some more cute stamps to pick up!

Better go soon. I found some yesterday but they are getting picked over quickly. I also found a bunch of new $1.00 wooden ones to Christmas included.

Thanks! I'll have to check them out today or tomorrow. Such an enabler.

Sorry to hear you are having a crummy day. I hope it gets beter.
Our local Michaels had about 21 different ones. Very picked over, but I managed to pick some up. They are really nice too! Can hardly wait to play with them.

You know, I have purchased several of these clear stamp sets but have not had any luck getting them to stamp well. Does anyone have any tips to share?
The lines are just not very crisp.

I use stamping surface mat by Darice. It works well for me and plus I also use it for paper piercing technique.

I'm the Studio G designer for Pez-A-Doodle so I get all the Studio G stamps and I have heard this before and experienced this before. A couple of things - - I treat my stamp first...with an eraser.....and then I sort of smoosh it on some scrap paper a couple of times....I make sure that I am stamping on a flat hard surface (like a craft mat)....and while "regular" ink works, I find that I have the most success with pigment inks. If you like the affordability of Studio G, try their inks -- they have some coordinating Christmas and Halloween ones this year that are pigment inks that stamp really really well.

TimeforT, do you mind sharing what categories you've used? And when you say you seperated them, do mean such as if it has multiple images like a shape, a monogram and a flower you would separate all 3 into 3 different categories? I'm always looking for good organizing tips, and the studio Gs can be a challenge sometimes.
Thanks!

Michael's studio g
I'm so jealous! Our M's only had 12 styles. I would love the snowman one too. Snowmen are my Christmas fetish! I was so excited about these, but now that I know what I missed out on I am bummed.

I bought 18 sets a couple weeks ago. I think I'm missing 2 sets, but I did buy one of each set that they had at the store. I am in Calgary and I haven't seen any since the day I bought them. I don't know what it is about Christmas stamps that I can't resist - especially one's that only cost $1.50.
