Can you please advise where I can purchase this adhesive. I originally bought it at the local Walmart but it no longer carries the products. I found that it works very well and would like to get more if I can find it. Thanking you in advance for your help. I know the Splitcoast Girls would know if it can be found.
It is very frustrating. Our Walmart discontinued it and I panicked. Found that I could buy in a town 50 miles away at their Walmart when I was there so I bought 5 packages to stock up. Now that store has also discontinued it. Our JoAnn seems to order in 2 packages at a time and it disappears instantly. Also, unless you have a coupon for them, the price is outrageous. I asked them to order more and she said 2 at a time is the limit for some reason. I would dearly love to find a place where I can get them at the Walmart price. I would even pay shipping online if I could buy them in bulk.
Hmmm. Maybe I'd better check my WalMart for some more before I run out. I do notice it comes and goes and I love the adhesive way better than Mono. I also use Mono Multi when I make cards cuz I don't feel like dragging out the tape runner sometimes and that works great, too. A little goes a long way.
I panicked a couple months ago, when my local JoAnn's stopped carrying the 4 pack of Duck, but the JoAnn store across town does still seem to carry it. It's not too bad price-wise when they have adhesives on sale for 40% off, or if you use the coupon. I got tired of cards from classes coming apart with other adhesives-the Duck doesn't seem to do that! Anyway, once I found it over there, I bought all they had (Yikes, a hundred bucks of Ducks!)
Our Walmart stopped carrying the 4 pack of red duck (sounds like a cheap wine ;) ) so I called the manufacturer (Henkel/Duck Brand Products (800) 321-0253) and they gave me the name of a bulk supplier that would take orders for case lots. But I just saw that Walmart is carrying it again! So don't give up hope--it may be a temporary store problem. Call and ask your Walmart to carry it!
i found this at menard's in the craft area. a four pack was only about 7.95!!! i have been having a problem with mine though. the left over paper (that winds around inside after the adhesive is on your paper) folds over and makes it feel like it's all gone. i have to rewind it every 6-10"!!! it gets frustrating so i just take a new one! i do like the tape though! i think it holds better than mono or snail! any suggestions on how to fix or better yet prevent this from happening??
TIA!
I have had one tape break, and being cheap, I just use it manually, which is messy, rolling it on, then peeling the backing away by hand, but I'm NOT going to toss the dratted elusive stuff away! I have found I need to roll it slowly, and be sure it's centered as it comes out, but OK, it still holds better than anything else I've found, so I put up with having to pay attention when applying it. Be sure to lift straight up when you finish, too. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. Anybody else?
I only use Mono, but I got my mom hooked on the Red Duck tape. She said that her walmart didn't carry it anymore, but ours still does. Must be a store/by/store thing if they still carry it. Pam
*ps. I wonder if you can order it from Walmart.com or check with your local store to have them check the system for other walmarts nearby that still have some stock.

I absolutely love the Duck Tape brand glue sticks that come in a six pack at our local Wal-MArts. It even has the Creating Keepsakes seal of Approval on it. It is only $3-$4 for six and I use it on all my larger suface areas. It saves me $$$ on mono. I had trouble with the red dispenser mono-type runner(it bunches up and gets jammed), but I have friends in my stamping club who love it.

If you have a SuperWalMart in a town near you they might sell it. Our WalMart stopped selling it, also. I'm a social worker and when I went to clients homes in surrounding towns I would stop at the SuperWalMart on my breaks and found the 4 pack for like $8.97. So I started stocking up on it when I would go to the SuperWalMarts. Hope you find it.
We have several super walmarts in our town (at least 5 that I can think of) and I have been two of them within the last week and they both had them here for 2.57. I have never found them anywhere but the stationery section.
Show offs - I can't find it anywhere in Canada. It's so bad that I asked my BIL for Duck for Christmas and my birthday...my MIL will (hopefully) be bringing some back from Buffalo on the 17th!!!
I just found this site today and they carry the Duck Adhesive. Also, call the number on the back of the packages and you can order it in bulk. You can even get someone on Sunday!

They sell it and it's not too bad. Some of our Walmarts in TN stopped carrying it so I buy it wherever I can find it. Call your local Walmarts too-sometimes they will listen if you request something...

My Walmart just started carrying it again after months of not having it, Woo Hoo! You all might want to check them again, it looks like they just stocked up at mine, they had tons of it! Good luck finding it, I love that stuff, too!

I checked out both local JoAnn stores this past weekend, and they both are carrying the 4 packs again (in a different packaging) @ $12.99- which isn't bad, once you use your half-off coupon! It's in the scrapbooking section here, not in glues and adhesives.
Location: Somewhere in the middle...closer to there, nearer to here...

In North Carolina, they sell it at OfficeMax. But they changed the name, same package, but now it's called Pritt Adhesive. I couldn't find it anywhere until I went on-line and found it at OfficeMax. Same great price! The clerks always give me a "look" when I buy 10 packs. Oh well.
I use it all the time, absolutely love it. It comes in several names Henkel or Pritt - in the same red dispenser. I can get it on Staples.com, and I can get it in refills with a refillable dispenser or one time use. It is much cheaper that way. The website says Walmart, Staples, and Office Max carry it. When I see it at Walmart, they are the 4 pack of one time use dispensers and I grab all they have, and they are getting good at hiding it now.
At joann's, when they have a 40% off sale on all adhesives-you can make a special order purchase ( at the front counter) They ask for 1/2 down and will call you when it comes in. I live in Mi. and they took my order of 10 packages.
Ask to see a mgr. for a 'special order'. Hope that works.
I too love the duck, so I may have to check out the site listed above, for travel purposes. But I am in love with my new ATG gun and I compared the stickiness to the duck and it is even stickier(if that is a word...) I will have to keep my eyes open for the duck though, a girl can never have too much adhesive!

I purchased this product at my local WalMart store just last night (1/20/2007). It was located in the office / school supply section hanging near the pencils, pens, etc.
I think Wal-mart got wise to us scrappers and realized if they stopped carrying the red duck dispensers we'd cave and buy the more expensive ones. When the red duck ones here went on clearance, I bought every one the store had - about 20 of 'em. Just ran out this weekend and had to start using the new ones my hubby put in my Christmas stocking. Man, I miss the duck!!
Since I no longer shop at WalMart, I went to the Duck website and found that they will only use retailers --including Winn-Dixie (although I forget to look there for it)...I did email New United Distrib. Co ([email protected]) and got a quote from them for case costs (6 4-pks per case). You might try them as well. (i'm not listing the quote price since it is over a week old and may no longer be valid)
