Bottle for the Bottles of Hope project

Hi Everyone,
I know some of you work with polymer clay so I thought I would let you know that I am helping to get some bottles of hope for cancer patients. In case you do not know of the program it was started by Diane Gregoire, a cancer survivor who thought it would be nice to cover glass bottles that were used for treatments with polymer clay and then give them to cancer patients to help keep their spirits up and give them hope knowing that people care and want them to get better.

I have some new bottles that I ordered for the project. I had to order over 600 bottles so I have plenty. I am sharing them with my polymer clay guild but I will have extra. If anyone would like to make some bottles, you can send me a note with your address and how many bottles you would like to make and I will send them to you. There is no charge for them, all I ask is that you send them back to me when they are finished and I will distribute them.
[email protected]

Over the course of my involvement in the project I met an amazing women who has been going through lung cancer and we have become fast friends, she has been distributing the bottles herself to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Massachusetts. I am planning on surprising her with all of the bottles I receive back so she can give them to the patients there. I know she will be thrilled. I think she may have beat the cancer and I think her great attitude has helped her get through this. Thanks in advance for all the help. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Ilysa
