I can no longer do too much paper crafting and would like to donate my papers, punches, embossing equipment, inks, stamps, etc. etc. not for resale but for use hopefully by children or seniors.
Anyone know of a such an organization? I am in SW Florida.
Your local school may love to have some craft supplies for projects. I have given to our elementary teachers in the past and they welcome something different. Another though is if there is a senior center in your area.

I donote my stuff to a local thrift store, that is run by the local spca by volunteers and all the sale money goes to the shelter. I also give them cards I made.
Several assisted living or nursing homes have activity coordinators that would love to have your extra stuff. Also, a pre-school would be another great place to donate.
Both Seniors and Preschools are great ideas. I know that I have worked in Activities in a nursing home we really appreciated donations. I also volunteer at a Senior Living Center and they too like to do crafts and make their own cards. I now am teaching in preschool and I have just asked my parents to donate items that they may not want so we can use them in our art center. Preschools don't always have the funds to make fun projects. Today I am making sensory bottles with fun items like punches, ribbons, bells, buttons, pretty papers, and anything fun that kids can shake, and look at. There are many great places to donate to. It is a good feeling knowing that others will enjoy your generous gift.

Also worth thinking about- day programs for the mentally challenged. Those are often not funded very generously, and the participants love making pretty things.
Might want to consider donating to your local library. My library and 2 others have die cut machines and rotate the dies to support the children's programs.
There's a list of schools on the left side of the screen. Click on each school to find a list of the supplies they need.
Most of the kids live in poverty and the teachers don't have the money to provide supplies.
I know they really appreciate the donations of stamping and craft supplies.
I just checked out the website and now I know where I am donating my items. One of the programs, LOWO, scrapbooks for foster children who have no records of their childhood. How sad! I'll get a flat rate box today and stuff it full of items. Thanks for posting this organization.
I've done this a few times and let me say -- it is very expensive to mail punches and cardstock!
I recommend finding a local source, where you can drop off the items. Best of luck.
The Post office now has Large Priority Boxes at a flat rate of $14.95 that you can ship no mater what the weight, the rate is $14.95 and the medium box is only $10.00. so ship away any amount that will fit in it. The large box will hold 12"x12" stacks, I know cause I shipped a bunch from Las Vegas to Florida when I was there for vacation.....
I picked up a large flat rate box from the post office. Iam going to spend the $14.95 to send it to LOWO because they were very sepcific on what supplies they are looking for which to me means that there are volunteer scrappers who actually know what they are doing with the them. If I just drop these off at a shelter, the chances of anyone knowing how to use my eyelet setting tool would probably be slim. I love that the supplies are used for foster kids who have no photos of their life due to being bounced from home to home.
you can Donations to me I help children hosptial tho ladies here on scs the coles foundtation or the Ronald McDonald House or I know others places the childern are need of things thanks hotwheels
