Uh oh! Now you have to learn about Viking! Sometimes they have it on sale for 1.88 for refills and a lot of times people will post the code for it And free shipping after 25 dollars!!
How many inches are in the Viking refill. I can only see that it is .8oz not inches. Walmart has somethng called Adhesive Tech. Just like mono. It fits in the old holders. The white ones the one before the blue one. Refill is $2.17 fir 2 275 inch refills. Just got them yestereday.
I have tried the cheaper stuff from Walmart and to me it just is not the same. My cards kept falling apart so I am back to mono but get it from Viking at their wonderful price of $1.88 each
I have some of the Adhesive Tech stuff from Walmart and now that I have the mono from my demo kit, I have to say that mono is much much much better.

My Walmart adhesive, malfunctioned on me two weeks ago. I was out of adhesive until I replaced it. I decided to wait for my kit. When my kit arrived I thought mono can't be that much better, but oh was I wrong. After completeing 3 swaps, (44 in one, 19, in one and 11 in another) I have to say mono rocks!

How many inches of mono do you get with that refill? I get 472" (12m) with the one I buy from Office Depot.
I tried the stuff at WalMart and I've had too many problems with it... getting gunky, and the tape breaking. It was more frustration than it was worth. The mono adhesive is the best that I've used. I get mine from Viking also. I haven't had a problem with it breaking or getting gunky and at $1.88 it's easier to let my customers use it ;o) And it's pretty easy to get to $25 to get the free shipping from them. And in most cases you get it the next day... Hope that helps a little
I don't know if it's just me, or what, but my Mono adhesive doesn't seem to be holding well. It just pops right off with a slight pull. I have to use a continuous strip of it all around & in the center of my cs layer to get it to hold, rather than just a little strip here and there.
Now, the Scotch double-sided tape works really well, but isn't as easy to use. Anyone else have trouble with the mono not holding well? Or, am I expecting too much?
Are you using the permanent mono adhesive Linda or the removable? The removable is made to come off easily for repositioning things or for masking. The removable refill has a green nose on it while the permanent has a blue nose. HTH

I also went with this adhesive tech ones for awhile, but let me tell you, the quality is HORRIBLE compared to Monoadhesive, and they break easily and seem to run out faster and need to be changed to me. I would go with them in a pinch, but otherwise, go with viking for the monoadhesive.

I have not had the problem with the monoadhesive, except on boxes or odd shaped things, and for that I now use SU's sticky strip and it works WONDERS! I love it! It is in the catty and red.
Oh, don't waste your money on the Wal*mart brand! Adhesive Tech sucks. BUT, I found a GREAT use for it and the refills I bought...I gave them to my girls. I am happy b/c they aren't going to waste... and they think they are cool like their mom, lol!
I am having trouble with my mono too! I bought it through viking. I stuck some tags on a card and threaded wire through them, and that was just enough to keep 2 of my tags from unsticking. After resticking them and using even more mono about 10 times, I just stuck them with my CE. I am starting to not like the mono. But it is so easy to use! I just wish it would stick better.
i have always found that my mono (no matter where i bought it from) doesn't hold that well on su cardstock or anything heavy llike that. if i use it on regular paper or the think background paper it holds, but when i use it on cardstock, the layers tend to kinda come apart unless i seal all the edges w/ mono. if i just put it in the corners it almost always comes off. but i still use it cuz it's really easy. but when i want stuff to reallly stick, i use the herma tabs, although it's more work.
My mom and I are experiencing the same Mono problem lately. The stuff just won't stick. The layers are constantly coming apart. The other day I made a card with a little flap topping off a couple of layers with a punch through and cord bow. The thing will NOT stay folded over. I scored, and I ran the bone folder on it and I put mono on both the flap and the spot I was sticking it to and I STILL can't get it to stick. It's driving me nuts. Mom and I thought we were loosing it. The bargain basement stuff we bought is sticking better than Mono lately.
In general I would say that since they redesigned the mono last year that it just does not stick as well as it used to! And I am using more of it to get my cards to stick together. Luckily I am getting a great price at Viking!
The new code for the $1.88 viking mono is CL9-62202. That is for the permanent refill. I just ordered on Wednesday afternoon and had my stuff at my door when I came home from work today. I think the mono refill and holder is CL9-62201.
Hope this helps.
