I'm a demo now!

I'm so excited to have signed up today as a Stampin Up demo! Who else has joined that group today?

mrussom 02-01-2008 11:50 AM

Congrats!!! I have the paperwork but haven't sent it in yet but can't wait. AND my demo just called me to tell me that it is less expensive during Sale A Bration to sign up so that is very exciting! I already knew about the 'extra' stamp set. Have fun with your new stuff!

attherookery 02-01-2008 02:45 PM

I signed up today too. I don't know if I can stand the anticipation - I'm dying to get my SU ID so I can sign into the demo site. Then somehow I'll have to survive the two weeks until my kit comes... I'm really excited about planning some stamp camps etc.

How are all you other newbies handling the stress?!

RachelAM 02-01-2008 02:45 PM

I signed up today too. Can't wait to be able to place my order!

riaann 02-01-2008 03:31 PM

Good luck ladies! That is so awsome!

BrendaEien 02-01-2008 04:07 PM

I signed up today also!!! I am sooo excited!!!!

Rosiebudstamp 02-01-2008 04:09 PM

Boy ....you all been really busy....what is the monthly quota you have to turn in?

Scrapnstampkate 02-01-2008 04:23 PM

I just signed this morning as well. I got my id right away it was at the end of the sign up process online. I can hardly wait for my stuff to get here and to order my 30% off order either! I could barely take it when I found out the kit was on sale now, I was already excited for the free stamp set and that really topped it off!

The monthly quota is a quarterly quota of $300.

GreenDragonLady 02-01-2008 04:29 PM

Congratulations, everyone! Don't forget to sign up for the demo side of SCS when you get your demo information!

There's no monthly quota. SU has quarterly minimums of $300 but as a new demonstrator you have the rest of ths quarter and all of next quarter to meet your first quarterly miniumums- meaning you have until June 30 to meet your first quota.

In addition, just in case you haven't heard SU is offering the starter kit at 20% off ($40 value) plus you can pick a free stamp set of your choice (up to $47.95 value) with your kit. Nows the time to join!

I signed up online, but didn't see my ID anywhere. Where was it in case I missed it? I did get my password through e-mail.

amy gator 02-01-2008 04:38 PM

I hate to say it but I am not positive which screen it was on, probably one of the last ones but I do not have an e-mail that includes it and it is not on any of the pages that I printed. I would call your upline and see if she knows how to find out what it is. I got mine before I got off the site.

SavvyKat 02-01-2008 04:46 PM

I am on the verge of signing. Just trying to figure out how I will get myself some customers...then I think I will take the plunge!

cobrielle 02-01-2008 04:48 PM

You can call Demo Support and get your number. Just tell them your name, and who your upline is (and their number if you have it) and they can tell you your ID number.

Scrapnstampkate 02-01-2008 04:50 PM

I'm kind of worried about getting customers too but I already having my kids help. (4yrs. and 2yrs.) Everywhere we go we are going to look at the caddy and it worked the very first time so I am going to keep it up. I also told them if they tell people that their mommy sells stamps and they become customers I will give them prizes, that really motivates! I am telling every person I talk to and hoping to drum up some business.

attherookery 02-01-2008 05:18 PM

I'm worried about finding new customers too. But getting cards out there helps - I made two cards for my husband to give to two people retiring at his work and now several people there want to come to a workshop. So now I'm sending out cards for any excuse:p
By the way - I've just received my ID and password and I'm into the SU website - lots to learn!!!
Good luck and fun to all.

stampinandscrappin 02-01-2008 05:46 PM

Just started a thread yesterday (or was it early this morning...can't even remember) about the pros/cons of being a demo...sounds much more positive than negative...really thinking about it...same concerns as far as customers and fitting it into my already full time schedule but I just enjoy it so much...what to do, what to do!

smartblonde_2000 02-01-2008 07:28 PM

Me too! Me too!!! I just signed up and I can't WAIT to get my kit, I love getting new goodies. I got my demo id and password in my email right awat, how awesome is that! I have been planning to do this for the last 3 months, but waited for the new catty and then SAB, I am sooo excited to be signed up now!

homestead46 02-02-2008 08:04 AM

I signed up an hour ago online - WooooHooooo! There were 3 emails from SU for me. The order confirmation email, the welcome to SU email (this had my demo #), and the password email. HTH's!!! Can't wait to get my kit!

GreenDragonLady 02-02-2008 08:05 AM

Congratulations, ladies!

jessthenurse 02-02-2008 10:16 AM

I had been speaking to my demo about it recently. Well, when I found out the kit was 20% PLUS a free stamp set during SAB it just made sense. I talked to her about it and I decided that I'd try it for a quarter or two and if it wasn't for me then no harm done. Can't wait to get my kit!

blxmom1 02-02-2008 10:39 AM

I am going to sign up soon, does anyone know how much shipping is on the starter kit to Illinois and if tax is charged? I can't remember from last time. thanks alot

RachelAM 02-02-2008 10:44 AM

There is no shipping on the kit, and you pay tax on the discounted price.

blxmom1 02-02-2008 10:53 AM

No shipping?!?!!??!! Really. WOW That's awesome. OOOHHH I can't wait.. Come on tax refund!!:p

redwood17 02-02-2008 11:30 AM

Congratulations! That is so great the discount right now for singing up is so wonderful. I just got a new recruit, and she is thrilled with the price discount and the 10% off on her first order and the stamp set up to $47.95!

Who else is a brand new Stampin Up! demo? I'm so excited! How many of us are there who have taken advantage of the great "Free stamp set plus 20% off starter kit" deal?

stampinandscrappin 02-03-2008 07:04 AM

Meeting with my demo today to talk about it...can't wait...wish me luck!

If you sign up online, do you pay by credit card?

When I signed up to be a demo in 2002, you couldn't sign up online and had to send a check. If you can pay by credit card, I don't have to wait until March 1st to sign!

Yes, you pay by credit/debit card, so you can sign up right away. :)

mahodgman 02-03-2008 07:38 AM

I sent in my paperwork on Jan 31st. I didn't know you could sign up on line. Since then I found out that you can only sign up on line if your upline has a SU website. I hope they are quick with the paper kind of sign up because I'm way too excited! I've got my first workshop scheduled for Feb 22nd, and I've already got a booking for March 8th. How cool is that?

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply!:p

mahodgman 02-03-2008 11:29 AM

I did, I did! I mailed the paperwork, though, so I'm not official yet. I hope that demo number hurries up and gets here! I'm so excited to get started. I've already got my first workshop scheduled for Feb 22nd and one booked for March 8th......it is going to be fun, fun fun!

se_stamper 02-03-2008 11:30 AM

Hi, everyone! I'm a newbie as well... I was already thinking of signing up in the next few months and when I saw the kit discount, that sealed the deal for me. I already started looking around the website and am thinking about my first order.
