I actually went in to a Joanns today, was there about 12pm. Only went to buy a crimper with my 50% off. The line to pay was long but luckily after they got another casher, I was in line for about 20mins, BUT, these ladies behind me had a cart full of fabric, and fleece and they told me they were in line for 3 hours just to have the fabric cut!!!!!!!!!!! YIKES!!!!!
I have noticed problems with Joann's website for a few days. I can get the first page of articles but can never open the second page. I have given up on them.

I've had the same problems with the new website. If I want the page to display more than 16 items - for example if I want to view all the items on the same page without having to turn page after page - well, I can view the first page, but then the next page always says the connection has been interrupted. At first I thought it was my browser ( I use Firefox), so I switched to IE - same thing.
I really have no patience or sympathy for poorly designed websites. In my opinion Joanns has really gone down-hill. They STILL do not have the newest releases of Cuttlebug folders, or Sizzix dies. For crying out loud, you can find these on any number of websites by now, why is Joanns still so behind in their inventory????
Anyway, I took my Black Friday web dollars to Scrap-mart.

Good luck with Scrap-Mart. One too many times of receiving orders in the mail with a handwritten note of "sorry, xxx is out of stock" (of course, it's always the ONE thing I really wanted) and I'm done with them. They can't seem to keep their inventory current on their website.
I got up at 5:30 a.m. to get to the store on Friday by 6 when it opened. It wasn't too crowded and I got the things I went for. It had better been worth it for me to get up that early. That same day I had to take my Mom back home after visiting me and had to drive 6 hours to get her there. That was a very long day, but what I got made me happy.
I guess I was very lucky. I happen to wake during the night (like at 2:30 a.m.) so I went and ordered a cricut online for $78 and had it shipped to a relative for Christmas.
Later I heard the website had sold out of the cricuts by 5:30 a.m. EST
Later during the day I went to the Joann's in Little Rock and got a good deal on K&Co 12 x 12 window albums. There were 2 in a package for $10. There were 2 designs to choose from, so I got both packets for $20 (4 albums). Can't get much cheaper.
My big score was a sizzix long die called Gift Card Die.... oh man! I had such a blast stamping on that diecut!
I just got an email from Joann.com apologizing for the down site and that it's all been taken care of with extended offers and free shipping. Guess what, I can't get on the website :p Looks like they didn't get it fixed after all.
The email I rec'd said they extended the sale, but limit it to stock on hand. All of the items I checked on from their sales flyer were showing out of stock today. Everything else on my wish list was full price. I didn't buy anything even with the free shipping offer.
Why did they even bother to extend their sale when they don't have any of the items left in stock? Seems like a scam to drive people to their website and try to get them to pay full price for their holiday gifts.
