It's happy dance time! My cookbooks arrived and as I'm paging through them my stomach is rumbling louder and louder. Everything looks wonderful and yummy! I can't wait to get to cookin' this weekend.

Thanks to Catie and everyone involved. It was a momentous task and your efforts are soooo appreciated. It's amazing that your sense of humor has remained intact! We humbly bow before you.

I got my cookbook yesterday. AWESOME!!! I flipped through it page by page and my mouth was watering with each recipe. I can't wait to make some of these ideas. Catie you did a fabulous job!!! Thank you everyone for your contributions.

And being single, I have to say my favorite recipe was for the Single Person's pizza. LOL :-D

I'm so excited. I don't have mine yet...my mail lady hates me and holds my stuff, I'm sure of it.......(she conspires against me regularly).......but I'm sure you'll hear me yellin' when I do!

Catie, you ROCK for this undertaking.

And.......Volume 2? Are you crazy, lady??! LOL!! ;)

Dude! She better! I spent $$ out of pocket to do that massively expensive fast mail so that you have them before the wedding. I will come up there and kick her hard!

I got mine yesterday! I couldn't figure out who I knew in NE. I didn't think I had any outstanding swaps I was waiting on. Then I opened it and remember. It was worth the wait!

Great job to Catie and all the others!

Default cookbook

My daughter is making the Chocolate Covered Oreo Balls. She started out rolling the balls about the size of a golf ball- good thing I was home (LOL). They are now bite sized and they are AMAZING!!!

And, she is cooking for fun- she is 16, so is very careful about what she eats (I hav 16 year old twins- the boys eat ALL DAY!!! and the girls munch on celery.....).

Anyway, 5 stars for that recipe!!!

Thanks again Catie!!!

Smile I'm Sorry......

Catie - I hope you didn't take offense about my disappointment. I know what an undertaking you had with the deluge of recipes you must have received. I was just disappointed not to see my name in print.

You and the others did a marvelous job and I want to thank you for your time, energy and mental/physical/emotional stress you put into the book. It is truly awesome.

If there should be a volume 2, I will certainly be submitting recipes again and most definitely be ordering another.

I feel like this cookbook is a "family" book, and I guess it kind of is a family cookbook. The SplitCoastStamper family is a huge family and growing every day. Heaven help any town if we should all get together for one bodacious family reunion. We'd take over the town. There are less than 1000 people in the town I live in and if all the SCSers came to town, there wouldn't be enough chairs in the town to go around. You'd all have to bring your own chairs.

Hope you are serious about a Volume 2. That would be awesome and I would even help type up the recipes for you. I'd even drive to Nebraska to help.

Sue

I am serious about V2...I will give more details closer to Christmas. I need to rest. LOL

No offense taken. I totally understand the disappointment. I hope everyone knows that it was NOT an intentional thing. That was why I cut off at a certain number-so that all that had been submitted would be in. In a couple of months, I will go through it in earnest and make sure that the *poof*ed recipes get into V2.

Again, it wasn't deliberate. I am not sure what happened, neither is Jan. The recipes that were submitted will be in V2.

Otherwise-thanks for the love! I am glad there are folks who are happy...and maybe cooking?....lol

Are you serious, you are willing to do a VOL 2?

If you do, I have one suggestion, charge $20. I don't see how with priority mail much money was made. Can we have some idea of the return on the proceeds of VOL 1?

Since I was on "the" list, wanted everyone to know I received mine today (08/0 so just about everyone else should have received theirs. What fun I'm going to have going through it. Catie, read on another forum that you have a migraine. They aren't any fun. But I can certainly see why you would have one after all you've been through. When did you say you were going to start Volume II?????

Well, I know I said I was going to take a couple months off-but technically, work on V2 has already been started. I have scoped out some publishers and I am so freaked out that some of the recipes were left out, that I have already started going through the book vs. my e-mails.

OFFICIALLY speaking-around January.

You gotta be kidding!! I was one of those who got left out. When I originally read that some had inadvertently got left out, I thought it was one or two but when none of them got published I thought maybe they hadn't even been received. Thanks again for all your efforts.
