Hobby Lobby coming to No. California
 

I was so excited to read in the newspaper this morning that Hobby Lobby is coming to the Sacramento/Roseville area of Northern Calif this fall. Finally!!!

That's getting closer to Oregon! LOL

My daughter told me last night that we are getting a Hobby Lobby in So Cal too - in the Inland Empire!! I told my hubby that it would be an all-day excursion when it opens in October!!

I am really hoping it our's open this fall - you know how delays go sometimes. Anyway, as I said in the OP I am really excited about it. It's not that I "need" anything but I like having options. LOL.

Now we just need one in Northern-Northern Cal! Aaugh! I always get excited when I see these posts but forget us *really* Northern folk are too small to get the cool stores!

The Sacramento area is actually getting 3 HL stores - they haven't announced the other 2 locations but for now I'm happy that we're getting at least one.

It would be INCREDIBLE if they put one in Medford. Is that asking too much? I think there's enough scrapbooking stores that have gone out that we NEED a Hobby Lobby! I can here cheers in the background even. lol

I am hoping one of them is actually in Sacramento but right now I am happy and excited to take what I can get even if I have to drive out a bit. :p

How fun! I love Hobby Lobby - so many fun things to look at. I'm not crazy about their stamping products but that's not why I go there. I have my sources for this hobby elsewhere. =)

Hey! Just found out that there is one in Visalia - about a 30 minute drive from me!

Wow! Looks like they are opening two in So Cal! One in Cucamonga and one in Temecula. The first one is not far from one of the SB conventions I go to yearly so that will be fun to visit!

I heard the Inland Empire one will be in Rancho Cucamonga

I also heard that Hesperia is getting a Joann's right off the I-15 Main Street exit in the Super Target center. I hope (crossing fingers) it's a Super Joann's!

Temecula.....really???!! I would totally drive there!!

My twin and I went to a Hobby Lobby in Michigan over 3 years ago while on vacay and we STILL talk about it!

Can't wait........

The one coming in Rancho Cucamonga is reeeeeaaaalllllyyyy close to my home - it used to be a Mervyn's store. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they have to offer!!

HL must have looked at all the close Mervyn's sites if they are still available because the one opening in Roseville is at the old Mervyn's store.

Hobby Lobby is a great store - used to go every year when I went to Nashville - hoping someday for one to come to RI, MA or CT - only bad point for me is that they are not open on Sundays...........being a Baptist owned company- like others based down south - they do not work on the Sabbath day......but remember when NOTHING was open on Sundays??? Boy are we spoiled!!!??!!

Bummer not being open on Sundays - Sunday afteroon is a favorite shopping time for me because it's quiet time. Oh well - I'll just have to change my day for the opportunity to shop at HL

Is that the old buliding right off the 15? I pass by there on my way to Mt. High and Vegas. I'm in Santa Monica, but I would make the trek and hit the beautiful Victoria Gardens shopping area too.

It is near there...just west of Victoria Gardens on Foothill, north side of the street. It is close to Haven Avenue.

I read that they are opening the So. California ones on 10/28/11! I can't wait!!!!

Soft Opening for the Roseville store is tomorrow(10/22) at 9am...Grand Opening is Monday, (10/24) See you there!

A new HL opened in the old Mervyns in Folsom last week, very near Trader Joe's and Lowes, (same side of the street on East Bidwell). Whole Foods is about to open closer to Hwy. 50, across from Costco, also on East Bidwell. Michael's is just up the street. Bev Mo is there too.....hey, you can drop your whole paycheck in less than an hour! And there are about 25 restaurants on that little mile on East Bidwell, starting with Frank Fat's at the freeway. :-)

Hobby Lobby needs to share the wealth with the rest of Northern Cali! The SF Bay area could really use one. Specifically San Jose general area ;-)

Within a 10 mile radius of where I live there are 2 Jo Ann stores and 3 Michael's.
We had a vacant Mervyn's store but Orchard Supply and Hardware moved in so no HL there :-(

Maybe someday.....we definitely have the demographics for it....

Wow! Had my first visit to Hobby Lobby in Rancho Cucamonga...LOVE! The grand opening is coming up on the 31st, so I went early - spent a couple hours in there and still didn't see everything! So happy to have a huge selection so close to home...but, I will definitely have a list next time! So many choices can be a bit overwhelming :-)

They are coming to Western Washington too. New location, James Village off of Highway 99 in Lynwood. Opening Oct. 31st. And I see that we have one coming as well to Everett, on Evergreen Way. Woo Hoo !

I still have not been able to make it out to Roseville. . . this week is hectic so probably next week.

I just was informed that we are getting in in Millville, NJ. I've never been to Hobby Lobby, but have read posts about it here. We don't have a date, but it is on their website that one is coming. It's only one-half hour from me.
