Hi Ladies, We need a few more to sign up for dinner after Regionals in Madison. The restaurant is within walking distance of where the Regionals are. Come and join in the fun with your splitcoaststamper friends. We need to turn in a number by tonite (THursday) to be assured a space. PM me with your name ASAP. It will be lots of fun!!!

Bev,
I have to work on Friday.... but what time are you all meeting and where is the restaurant? Maybe I could come after work and then I could get some early excitement for Saturday.

Put me down - sounds like fun.
I'll wear my pin so that I can be recognized - like my face doesn't match my avatar
You all can pump me up for Saturday and share your excitement with me.

Wisegirl, is it a long drive? We aren't staying forever to eat. Really would like to have you come..but I do understand getting up the next day for something you love and needing to sleep. If you change your mind just let us know!! I didn't know deer hunting started so early.I thought it started on Thanksgiving. Good luck and hope to meet you at Regionals. Bev

Hi
It's a 5 to 6 hour drive home for us, so that's why we are leaving right after. It'll be around ten or eleven by the time we get back.

Kar, we will miss you But there is a nice selection. of food at this restaurant. It is called the Great Dane and if you ever get a chance (after deer season of course) you should try it out. I doubt if their desserts are as beautiful as the cakes you make though. Next year we will have our own Regional (A Illinois/Wisconsin Get Together) and you will definitely be there!!Can't wait!! to meet you someday. ~Bev

It was Greeeeaaaaaaaaaat!!! Let's see this is who was there: AZMommy(Tracy) dgill, (Diane), Irolstamper(Lori) and her sister, Kathleenh (Kathleen), chlojono(Kelly), KimFoy, Alison, and Me!!Lori was our cruise director on how to get there.she knows how to move through the streets of madison and believe...it can be confusing. We got there just as the university happy hour crowd was leaving. There was no dancing on the tables, sorry Cami, we just didn't have the energy to do the dance!! It was so much fun to see everyone in person!!! Of course, Kathleenh had her digital camera and took the Dork picture of me and Kelly. I kept calling Kelly her new name: Terry!!That Kelly/terry is a muli -tasker of the group. Lori made the cutest swap card with butterflies..WOW!!She's new to SU and believe me she has an eye for color and design!!!Go LoriGo!! Kathleenh then had the waitress take another picture of the group. It is posted along with my Dork picture on the scs board. Thank God that one turned out!!!(kathleen I am gonna come and stamp with ya!!! I gotta stamp with those Minnesota gals. Well, then AZMommy gave us the details of her stamp camp and we all wanted to go to her house!!Tracy you must I say this is the scs way...Post those ideas!!post those ideas!! Then of course Diane was suppose to find out for me what kind of shoes somebody wears!! Kim and Alison were my chauffeer(sp) and Navigator...I wouldn't have made it with out them I loved every moment of being with scs ladies who were as addicted to this site as I am!!(Kathleen get off that computer!!! ) Well, I hope some others will post their adventures and thoughts. I am still tired!!!! Now, I need to go feed my face...its breakfast treats in the teachers lounge. Sorry but I got to eat!!!~Bev
PS> We missed Michelle and Frank they got caught up in traffic.. I know that I will meet Michelle in our stampin travels somehow!!!!

The Madison Friday night dinner was fun! It was a great way to end Regionals on Friday. We were all pretty tired but as soon as Tracy got out her card swaps we perked up. Bev handed out her pretty tickled pink cards. I love those Bev! Have ya' posted them yet? We started chatting about Tracy's stamp camp the next day and then talked about some of the stamp sets and some of the out-of-the-box things you can do with them. We were all raving about SCS and the great ideas we get from the site. This site rocks!!!!
Bev, come stamp with me anytime! Just ditch those Prior Lake relatives of yours and spend some time stamping with me.
It was SO nice to meet you ladies. I can't wait for the chance to meet more of you.
Happy stamping!
Kathleen

That would be me, I believe! Diane and I hadn't met in person before the dinner, so she couldn't tell you that I wore my comfy Eastland's all weekend! Nope.. no fancy ones like the ones I collect.
Sounds like the dinner was lots of fun. I wish I could've been there to meet you all, but DH was with me in Madison and we used the weekend as a combo getaway/Regional trip..... spent all my free time together with him and then went to the Regional on Saturday.
Bev, I absolutely LOVE your Tickled Pink card! I made Dianne let me take pics of the swaps she got from everyone at the dinner and just oohed and ahhed over that fuzzy pink flamingo!

Ok, Bev, you can stop shouting now! I'm here
Wow what a weekend. All day Friday at regionals. What fun that was. Dinner afterwards was great. It was great to put a face to all those names. And YUM was the food good. The Great Dane Pub was a great place to go - thanks Lori for making all the arrangements.
Stayed up until 3 am prepping for my Stamp Camp. Had one gal for my 9-noon session. Then had 5 for my 1-4pm session. One was a neighbor who'd never picked up a stamp in her life. When I did my quick overview of the 10 projects, she had that 'deer in the headlights' look on her face. But she really got into it. When it was all over, she said 'you know, I wasn't sure I would enjoy this, but it really is fun'. So that was better than any sale I made that day.
Then after dinner and a few needed hours of mindless TV time, I stayed up until 2am packing/prepping for my workshop on Sunday. The hostess was a longtime family friend in Milwaukee. Had fun with that. Again there were 4 or 5 there who'd never heard of SU. Everyone had a great time. One mother/dtr ordered over $100 of stuff to make all their own gift bags for Christmas - wheels, cartridges, handles, scrub/mist. So that was pretty cool too.
Got home at 7:30 - and of course had to watch my Packers eek out a last second win. Game lasted until 11pm. Watched Deperate Housewives (LOVE that show). Then got some much needed shut eye. I felt just awful when I woke up this AM. DH was nice enough to get our older son off to school - let me sleep until NOON! WooHoo. Much better now.
I took pictures of all of my stamp camp projects. Bev- I promise I'll get them posted by the end of the day.
I'm still pouring over all the swaps I got. I'm overwhelmed by all the ideas. Madison Regionals was the 1st SU event I've attended. I've only been a demo since May. I really hope they'll come nearby again soon.
Again, my thanks to Bev and Lori for all their work on getting us together for dinner. It was great to meet all of you!

I had a great time at dinner also! I am glad everyone enjoyed the restaurant! Sorry about the non-smoking girls! The evening went especially great once the conversation turned to the swaps we collected and the stamp camp for the next day! (Glad to hear it went well AZMommy). Thank you for all who swapped cards with me at dinner! I need as many as I can get (being new and all)!
I have to give you all a good laugh! After I pointed you in the "correct" directions for your cars it dawned on me that part of the group may have been parked in a different ramp than I sent you towards! I drove around and around the square looking for you! I didn't find you and apparently drove around one too many times as I got pulled over by the police! There is a law in Madison against "cruising" and I got a warning ticket for cruising! Had she given me "the ticket" it would have been for $156! YIKES! I apologize if I sent you to the wrong parking ramp and almost got you lost!!! I hope you made it out of town safely! After my ordeal I decided to get out of the area as quickly as I could! I didn't want to make the "most wanted" list!

 Yikes Lori!
I'm so glad you just got a warning! I'll have to remember that 'cruising' law the next time I'm around the capital. My problem is that I usually forget about all the one-way streets and end up driving around a dozen times more than I should need to!

Cruise Director caught cruising!
Apparently if I had only made two trips around the square I would have been alright, but once I made that third trip I was a hardened criminal!
I was in the process of making a turn off the square and head over to the parking ramp by MATC that I sent you to instead of the one you needed to be at that is on Mifflin St. like you told me! They are only a few blocks apart, but it was raining and cold. I would have given you a ride to the ramp, but then the cops would have gotten my whole gang! We'd probably still be in jail if the girls were smoking on top of it!

Lori, LOL, Its a good thing you we didn't become harden criminals in Madison..well maybe the jail cell would have been dry...gosh darn that rain and drizzle. And I would have been with scs friends. We could've started a SU party of some sort!!!ha ha! I still have no idea where I was...I was glad we found the car. Getting out of the parking garage was a little tricky. No attendant...what was with that? New town, new rules!! Hope you have recovered from all the excitement!!! I guess we couldve called AZmommy and Kathleenh to come and get us out of jail. I love it. Well, alls well that ends well....I am showing off your butterfly card tomorrow to my stampin friends at work!! I just saw a new Making Memories Magazine for February and tell your sister that putting fabric in cards and scrapbook pages is gonna be the next rage. Tell her to share her fabrics with you!!! Bev
