FIRST PLACE IN A CONTEST WITH ONE OF MY CARDS!!!!!!
This is probably not a big deal to many of you, cuz I'm sure many of you win contests all the time!! But I am just as happy as I can be!!
In June of this year, I attended a CK convention. As a last minute thought, I grabbed one of the cards I had recently made. This one. My girlfriends and I got a babysitter for a few hours rushed to the convention as quickly as we could. Before doing some crazy shopping, I quickly scribbled my name and address on the back of my card and practically threw it at the girl at the front booth.
Fast forward 4 1/2 months. Yesterday I walk outside to pick up some packages at my front door, and with them was this big heavy box. I had NO IDEA what it could be, cuz I couldn't remember ordering anything. I was thinking it was some kind of a prank and something freaky was gonna be inside. LOL!! I had no idea what CKMedia was on the return address. I opened the box and there were six brand new Paper Crafts mags and two beautiful hard cover scrapbook & card technique/idea books worth $20 each!!!!!! I still had no idea. I thought I had accidently ordered an automatic monthly subscription to all these mags or something. Then I see the bow and tag. It had on it, Paper Crafts Card Contest, 1st, FL. And that was it!! The convention was the one and only time I had ever put a card in for a contest! It definitely made my day yesterday!!!
Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is my card going to be in a magazine someday? Or, is this silly thinking?

Very nice, I made a really nice Mother's Day card (spent alot of time on) that I turned into the one I went to in NH this summer and didn't win :( but congrats to you! I know not everyone can win - maybe next year for me!
Keep trying stampingcaj! Trust me when I tell you, this was a huge surprise to me! And I didn't find out for months after I turned it in. So, don't give up! ;)
